From the beginning Will was honest with me. He never told me what I wanted to hear, he told me what I needed to hear. He explained the law, laid out the options, and always had a plan. Every time we walked into court he was prepared. You could tell everyone there knew him and respected him, from the court staff to the other attorneys. That gave me a lot of confidence when things got stressful. What impressed me the most was that he actually cared. I never felt like I was just another client. This wasn't just about winning a case, it was about protecting my family and getting our peace back. He fought hard every hearing and never let up, even after the case dragged on way longer than anyone expected. There were plenty of moments where it would've been easy to just go through the motions, but thats not how Will practices. When it was time to argue our case he was an absolute beast in the courtroom and wasn't going to let someone keep harassing my family without putting up a fight. In the end we got the restraining order we were hoping for, and I honestly don't think that happens without him. These firms have support teams that can do the heavy lifting when researching case law, as well as have a level of internal accountability enforced between the partners. I made the mistake of hiring an independent lawyer based on positive online reviews. However, I did (eventually) notice that the lawyer was basically winging it in front of the judge (who was not impressed) and also trying to take the path of least resistance. Not knowing any better (its my first, and hopefully last, criminal defense), I accepted an unfavorable judgement. This resulted in the opposing party attempting to extort a lot of money via court enforced restitution - which the DA was very enthusiastic about, despite what was obviously an attempt at fleecing me. Fortunately, my hot shot independent lawyer had to excuse himself from the case due to personal matters, and this gave me the opportunity to hire Wallin and Klarich. First of all, Wallin/Klarich won over my business because they actually had a partner talk to me about the case and the potential approaches to my restitution defense. This was in sharp contrast to other supposed high performance firms that only had a paralegal give me a pre-prepared spiel and only vaguely talk about how they would defend me. Once Wallin/Klarich began on my case, I was surprised at the level of professional effort that was being put in, just to prepare for my case. A lot of case law research was done and communicated to me directly by the partner (Matthew Wallin), and I was able to challenge conclusions and receive even more nuanced perspectives. This was in sharp contrast to my previous (independent, highly rated online) lawyer, who did nothing of note. Klarich/Wallin presented their case to the DA - who decided to go back and do more work themselves. Inevitably, the DA called the plaintiff onto the stand - clearly determined to win. Note that the plaintiff/victim is heavily protected by the judge and can virtually say any bullshit on the stand which is immediately taken as truth. My lawyer, partner (Matthew Wallin), carefully navigated through the inconsistencies and other nonsense spewed by the plaintiff while carefully avoiding to appear to be badgering. In the end, the damage really was already done (once you are in a restitution hearing in California, you are screwed), yet Matthew Wallin was able to rescue more than 60% of the potential restitution bill - and believe me, the judge was really reluctant to even do that, but such was the convincing arguments made by Matthew Wallin. I highly recommend Wallin/Klarich - you will definitely feel that you are getting your money's worth in terms of a professional, highly prepared legal defense. And if you don't hire them, make sure to hire some other established law firm - don't hire independent lawyers (despite what the online reviews say).

After over a year the judge finally requested I appear. Scott informed me to show up at 8. I work mornings so I took time off work. I showed up and he was not there, I tired contacting him and I was ignored. I told the bailiff my attorney never showed up and what I can do they told me to come back at 2:30pm. I returned and Scott finally showed up. He didn't acknowledge me at all until I went up to him and told him to just accept the plea because I didn't trust his services after ignoring me. Part of the plea was house arrest. He never helped with that process and when I asked him for help and that I was stressing he said he is no longer counsel post conviction. You would think after messing up and ignoring me the last court date he would try to make it up but nothing. I cannot in good faith recommend Scott for his services. He did not have my best interest and caused me more stress and headaches. I honestly should've just gone with a public defender. Thousands of dollars later I feel in a worse situation then I started. I hope this helps someone from having a similar experience

We waited 6 WEEKS for the police report, where the reporting officer found him "at fault" after interviewing JUST 1 witness and the driver, who said he was in the intersection. Not wanting to spend $$$ to retain a lawyer, we waited to see what kind of settlement amount the insurance would offer. We were then bullied by the insurance adjuster who convinced my fiancée that since he was found "at fault", they owed us nothing. We contacted a well-advertised billboard lawyer who told us we had "no case" because he had been found "at fault." Feeling dejected at a low moment of exasperation, my fiancée signed a settlement agreement of $10,000 as he was told "that's all you're going to get because you were found at fault." I literally got home :20 after he signed. I was furious and this let to a lot of fights between us. I found John Rajee of RMD Law on Yelp as a lot of reviews said he handled "difficult situations." He was kind and professional but also understood human nature and the whole dilemma we faced- trying to get a contract invalidated AND attempt to re-settle with the insurance company. He also advised me on different ways MY auto insurance could help even though my fiancée was on a bicycle. Although John consulted other colleagues to discover ways to secure a better settlement, ultimately nothing could be legally done to get the settlement contract negated :( Unfortunately, my fiancée and I had to move forward with accepting the circumstance. Through all these developments, John kept advising us and was professional and thorough. He advised me as an experienced counselor and also just an honest guy who took the time to reassure me that basically it wasn't the end of the world. Frankly, I was very very angry with my fiancée over his moronic decision to sign, and speaking to John just honestly helped me move past my anger and put the whole bad situation behind me. I would absolutely recommend John and his colleagues to anyone seeking legal advisement, and I will definitely refer him to friends and family. Even if you just need an answer or two, PLEASE contact RMD before signing anything, taking action, or accepting offers. They absolutely will help!

I know a lot of lawyers personally but had never had to deal with an accident lawyer and felt that most I talked to were either too aggressive, impractical or just not interested because my accident seemed small or not worthy of treatment. From the very beginning, John was open and honest about my case and gave me the guidance and direction that no one else seemed to be able to provide. I learned a lot about small claims court along the way because I had dropped the ball on my case, even if it was thru no fault of my own. John was easy to talk to and gave me the time needed. He was both practical and efficient. It was refreshing that he was available within reason and wasn't in a rush when dealing with me. I released my 1st attorney because he didn't have the conjones to stand up to opposing council to represent MY best interest. I contacted Matthew DeArmey when it became clear to me my 2nd attorneys main focus was to bill and bill and bill and try to spin up my case at every opportunity. I contacted Matthew to say this is a divorce with few assets and moderate incomes of both parties and I just want to settle. Matthew was straight forward and upfront at all times. Took all of my calls and returned calls himself. NEVER mislead me.....never promised or alluded to unrealistic expectations to appease me. Called me out on my sh@t when my emotions got in the way. He reached an out of court settlement within a few months......completely in my favor. I first needed an attorney for a family member about 10 years ago, and was going through the yellow pages and calling offices. I was told someone would call me back or to schedule an appointment. I called the DeArmey law office and Matt answered the phone. He not only took the time to talk to me, but said he would take the case and work with me on payments. Matt is so great, he doesn't sugar coat or speculate but is a straight shooter and will tell you what to do, and what he is going to do as well. I went to Matt almost 10 years ago, after attempting to handle my divorce on my own. Being unsuccessful, and having to go back and forth to court for over a year, I was extremely fortunate to have had Matt step in and literally be my night in shining armor! As cliche as that sounds, he really was the answer to my prayers. He made me feel at ease despite all the drama i was going through with my now exhusband. I felt Matt was looking out for me and the best interest of my two children from day one. I never felt rushed or brushed off by his staff, but instead felt his team was looking out for us and never felt we were just another case on his books. This guy Steven is unreachable, uncooperative and a scam artist. My ex wife (not ex yet after 3 years of waiting for this guy to finish paperwork). We have been trying to get ahold of him for 2 years straight and he won't return our calls or email. We tried to get divorced in December of 2012 and he has not filed any documents on our behalf. My wife retained him and paid $4500.00 which now seems to have been stolen because he has not followed thru on his agreement. Stay far away from this shyster. 1 Star -- Serious Concerns About Ethics, Communication, and Transparency…read more This was one of the most concerning professional experiences I've ever had. I retained this firm during a highly sensitive divorce and domestic violence matter. Like many clients in this position, I was relying on them for guidance, protection, and advocacy during a very difficult time. During the intake process, they were extremely confident--stating they regularly handle cases like mine and assuring me they could help. Based on those representations, I paid a retainer of over $4,000. What followed raised serious red flags. I was never provided a meaningful face-to-face meeting despite multiple requests. Communication was limited, and there was little to no substantive legal work performed on my case. After taking my retainer and reviewing my situation, I was abruptly told they could not assist me and they withdrew representation. Even more concerning, I was billed beyond the retainer. The most alarming issue, however, was learning that there were discussions involving my ex-wife during the time I was their client--without my knowledge or clear explanation of what was discussed. As a client, not knowing the nature of those communications raised serious concerns for me regarding confidentiality, transparency, and whose interests were actually being represented. At a minimum, I expected: * Clear communication * Transparency in all interactions related to my case * Alignment and advocacy on my behalf Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The intake process was polished and convincing, but the follow-through did not reflect the level of professionalism or client care that was initially presented. If you are considering legal representation for a serious and personal matter, I would strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions upfront and carefully evaluate whether this firm is the right fit. I wish I had done that, this was the worst law firm I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

He also did a great job of managing the limited time we had, keeping the conversation focused on the key facts and making sure the time was used as effectively as possible. He was very open and honest about how he viewed the case, what he thought might happen, the reality of the situation I'm in, and what it may take to finally get the case finished. I retained him 17 months ago. A lot of stuff is promised up front. He sounds very knowledgeable…read more But once I paid the retainer everything sort of fell back. We do a hour long phone call to get a baseline for the case. Guess what? He forgets to record it so he has no notes. But he charges be $500 for it. Then asked me every time after that to re-explain myself because he did not have the notes. So I get charged about another $1,000 for all the misunderstanding after this. All these promises are made about the case and what he is going to do. But once it is actually there it is just "well CA law is just this and the judge will do what he does." No trying to do anything just simple black and white. Why am I even paying this guy? Now fast forward to today. He just drops me. I am paid in full. I have a court date in 6 weeks. He just drops me out of the blue cause he does not want to deal with this simple case. Then he has the nerve to send an invoice. He was suppose to be sending invoices every month. It has been 17 months and this is the first invoice I have ever received. It says he is dropping me and I do not have any refund at all. He did not do anything. Just collected $5,000 and has not progressed the case one single bit. It is more of a mess than it was 17 months ago. Stay as far away from this guy as you can.
