I highly recommend Colleen McNamee for divorce mediation. She handled our process with kindness, fairness, and professionalism. She was extremely prepared, clearly explained each step, and made what could have been a very stressful process feel smooth and manageable. We completed everything in just five appointments, and I felt the cost was very fair, especially with the fees divided equally between us. Mediation saved us both time, stress, and the expense of hiring two separate attorneys. I left the process feeling very good about the experience and am truly grateful for Colleen's guidance. I would definitely recommend her! read more

Divorce is not something you ever want to experience, you don't get married with the intention of ever having to go through the trials and tribulations of separation and the contentiousness of splitting up assets or custody. When my X and I separated I found Colleen through online reviews and we favored mediation for the cost and because we wanted to divorce amicably and think of our children. We first met with Colleen after a few phone calls and she was extremely helpful explaining the process, timelines, cost etc. We found her to be very knowledgeable and had a lot of helpful suggestions, as she was very diplomatic. I would say that was one of her strongest skills was representing both my X and I in a way that felt honest and fair so we both came out of this feeling like we could move forward with our lives during a very difficult time. She was also extremely responsive and communicative. Colleen is also a notary which helped with other docs that needed signing. There is a reason she has so many great reviews and I would highly recommend her to anyone going through a divorce. 5 Stars and save yourself time and energy and tens of thousands of dollars if not more and call Colleen for her services read more

I cannot say or ever express how thankful & grateful I am to her, I recommend anyone looking or even considering mediation please don't hesitate to call her & set up an in-person appointment trust me you won't be sorry & it'll save you tons of money after its all said & done. I was so relieved when my divorce was over but a lil sad I wouldn't see Colleen on a regular basis as our divorce took a little longer than most considering a business transaction was also being carried out. Family law attorney's only stretch out divorce and make it so difficult & painful not to mention unbelievably expensive, mediation is the answer & Colleen is the BEST. read more

I highly recommend Colleen's services as she is an amazing fair mediator and handled a very complicated and difficult divorce with compassion. I was told if you love your kids then mediate and don't throw each other under the bus. As an attorney I am fairly difficult to deal with at times I am told. Colleen was able to understand the various LLC's, real property issues and business organizations to provide an agreeable division that was fair to both parties. She took the time to explain everything without being partial. Her pricing is very fair and I wholly endorse her tireless work saving families from meltdown and financial ruin. Thank you Colleen. My husband and I were both very impressed with Colleen and she walked us through each step with outlines along the way to make it as smooth as a divorce can possibly be. Colleen is very professional and works with both sides throughout the mediation process fairly and professionally. Deciding to go with a mediator in a divorce, as opposed to using a divorce attorney can be a daunting decision. When I first reached out to Colleen at McNamee Mediations she provided the pros and cons of using a mediator. Once we decided to go with McNamee Mediations, she was very transparent about what to expect, what was involved and the approximate timeframe all of it would take. She was very experienced in dealing with a wide range of personalities without making one feel ganged up on. I believe that is a skill that could make or break the success of the mediation. Not once did either of us feel Colleen was suggesting solutions that were not considered equitable by all. Colleen's calm and sensible manner was what we needed in order to make it to the finish line. I would highly recommend McNamee Mediations. read more

Colleen really came through for us. She was the beacon of light that guided us throughout the process and I couldn't be happier. She provided clarity, assurance, and some examples of various scenarios that helped us reach the finish line. Really happy we didn't go through litigation and the astronomical costs for two attorneys. Out of all the divorces I've been through, this was the smoothest by far! p.s. This was my only one :) read more

I highly recommend Colleen McNamee for mediation services. First off, it is worth considering mediation if you are going through a dissolution of marriage. Mediation is less costly, quicker and less contentious than each party retaining lawyers. Colleen is a licensed family law mediator. In fact, she is one of the top divorce mediators in Orange County. She explains the mediation process fully and completely. She is professional, caring, takes the time you need and answers all your questions thoroughly. You feel supported by Colleen, as her calm demeanor assists every meeting you have with your soon-to-be former spouse. She explains her charges clearly and it is much less than typical divorces - even up to 90% less, as you are being more streamlined and foregoing the back-and-forth that would happen with individual lawyers. Not to mention that you are not being pitted against each other but are working through the process to come to mutually-beneficial agreements. Dissolution of marriage is already a challenging process. If possible, try to make it as peaceful and amenable as possible. Colleen expertly does this. I thank you her wholeheartedly for her help in this challenging process! read more

I can't say enough good things about Colleen. Going through a divorce is overwhelming, but she made the process so much smoother. We interviewed three mediators and Colleen stood out by a mile. (Turns out, she was profiled in Riviera magazine, and now I totally get why.) Right from the start, you could tell she genuinely cared about helping both parties reach a fair and amicable resolution. Her calm and compassionate demeanor immediately put us both at ease and helped defuse any tensions, and her professionalism kept everything on track throughout the process. Frankly, I didn't even know mediation was an alternative to hiring traditional litigation lawyers. I'm so glad we found Colleen because she saved us from all the stress and crazy expense of going to court. Plus she has a way of breaking down all the complicated legal stuff into terms that made sense, so we never felt lost. She also made sure every agreement we reached was clear and sustainable, which gave us so much confidence moving forward. If you're looking for someone who's not just professional but also kind and committed to helping you get through this, Colleen is absolutely the person you want by your side. read more

Colleen was phenomenal from our very first phone call right up until we concluded our mediation. Her kind and forthcoming nature made the entire process seamless. Her service is extremely reasonable for the service she provides and most definitely far below what two attorneys would cost. Colleen has extensive knowledge and was fair to both parties throughout the process. I highly recommend @McNamee Mediations. read more

Colleen was able to work, both, as a mediator and as a therapist at the same time which made a very difficult and emotional process doable. She was fair and impartial, but considerate of our feelings as well as the law. She helped us navigate to a final agreement. She did a great job - Thank You Colleen! I can't even begin to imagine how challenging divorce would have been using a litigation process versus utilizing mediation. Not only was the process streamlined and easier to absorb, it was also at a fixed price. I don't think divorce is easy for anyone but, if divorce is the solution I definitely recommend mediation versus litigation. And, for mediation, I would strongly recommend Colleen whose been doing divorce mediation for a considerable number of years. I beleive she was the first divorce mediator in OC (she can provide the number of years if she likes). read more

I found Colleen online and she had such compelling reviews that I decided to reach out to her. I explained what all was going to be involved in our case and Colleen said that so long as we were both willing to be transparent and come to the table with a willingness to negotiate, we would stand a strong likelihood of being able to be successful in mediation. Therefore, she was willing to take on our case. My wife was a bit reluctant because I am the breadwinner and she had not worked almost our entire marriage. She was worried she would need her own legal advocate in order to be protected. I encouraged my wife to call and speak with Colleen directly, and after she did, she agreed to give mediation a try.   I can honestly say that I don't think we would have been successful in mediating our case if we had used anyone but Colleen. She truly has a gift for this. I honestly don't know how she does this day in and day out. My wife and I have different personalities and approaches to things, and Colleen skillfully balanced both of our needs throughout the process. She always remained neutral but made both of us also feel heard at the same time. Colleen is very knowledgeable about the law, has a firm grasp on the financial intracasies involved in divorce, and can think outside of the box when creativity is called for. My wife and I both felt completely comfortable throughout the process, and we were able to reach a final agreement that we both felt good about. We will forever be grateful to Colleen, and so thankful that we were able to avoid the litigation route! read more

A divorce is never an easy process but Colleen McNamee was there for us every step of the way. She went out of her way to make sure the needs of both parties were met and always put us at ease. She took her time to explain everything and make sure we were both comfortable. She worked with our schedules, she made us laugh, and she was beyond fair. While I hope to never need her services in a divorce again I am so grateful that we chose her to handle our divorce. I highly recommend her and hope if you are ever in my position that you have someone as caring, knowledgeable and professional as she is. It makes all the difference at the end of the day when you can trust the person you are working with. read more

Five starts simply aren't enough to express my gratitude for Colleen. Her professionalism, kindness, and remarkable ability to navigate difficult conversations with ease left me in awe. Such a positive experience working with Colleen, she made everything seamless, organized, easy. Would absolutely recommend choosing mediation over attorneys/court if your situation allows, and would recommend Colleen to anyone and everyone. The process was laid out in our first meeting, fees and timeline were explained, discussion over what each party wanted to highlight was noted, and in a handful of hour long meetings, the process was completed. Divorce is never the easiest process to go through, but Colleen made everything as smooth as possible. read more

Colleen was exactly what we needed to navigate this process. Lawyers were consulted and never failed to try to turn the situation into something they could retire on. Colleen appreciated that we weren't contentious, we just needed help. Everything was explained clearly, from pricing to what was required from us, how long everything would take.. it went exactly how she said. The pricing was very fair and instead of paying for a lawyers new house our son will have something to inherit someday. 10/10 would highly recommend. read more

The conclusion was, we both walked away from the mediation knowing it was the right choice to have Colleen guide us through it all. I'd like to comment on a few things which I feel might help others in making their decision whether to litigate or mediate. We have a child with unique circumstances, and we knew we needed and wanted more control over how the divorce would have played out. I don't even want to imagine how things could have concluded in any other way, but OUR way. Entering a battlefield in a courtroom was not the way for us. With Colleen, somehow, she was definitely able to remain neutral throughout the entire process. Yes, it was indeed possible. BUT when needed, I've seen her help me through some of my husband's requests and vice versa and come up with solutions that would ultimately both address and satisfy our individual concerns. She did actually advocate for us both simultaneously. It's something you'll have to see to understand. She's so professional and kind. You feel like you're in great hands and she will take care of you. Divorce is one of the hardest things any of us can go through; but Colleen made it so her process was respectful to all parties and she was very supportive whenever possible. I never felt rushed during our appointments, she was thorough, and always made sure we both understood the terms and never left feeling bad or confused about our discussions. I feel like that was key for me. Whatever your situation is with your significant other; no matter how bad, complicated, awkward, messy, and horrible you or it may feel, there is someone out there who will remind you that, hey, it's actually not as IMPOSSIBLE as you may have thought to see through it to the end. Colleen will help you get there and close this chapter. I wish for all of you a peaceful resolution and the hope for a better tomorrow. Good luck! read more
