The flap is more risky for that. The staff was awesome, and helpful. The only thing I wish they had improved upon was informing me how painful PRK is. For three days, it really hurt. No....REALLY. I'm still glad I got it done and please know that my experience is DIFFERENT from the typical lasik experience. I got a different kind of surgery.

I called and left a message She to see if they wanted her to come with no response. She called until they picked up and they said they'd "rather" her rebook so she cancelled HER appointment. I drive 50 kms to the appointment only to see a surprised look on receptions face when I say my name. I was told I cancelled my appointment which I replied no my wife cancelled her appointment. I was then told because she has a cough I can't come. I have ZERO symptoms of anything. When I asked when I was told this it was supposedly during the call with my wife which I listened to and it wasn't. They said it was policy but there was no policy shown to me or on their website. There was stammering during each excuse I was given but it was obvious they gave away my appointment to the person sitting beside me. All of this could have been avoided if they were just truthful and I would have worked with them. Too bad Costco has an unprofessional business working in their building.

Dr. Nashid and his team are absolutely incredible. I cannot say enough good things about them. The…read moreprofessionalism, kindness, and genuine attention you receive from the moment you walk through the door, to the aftercare you receive when you leave is nothing short of top notch. As a dentist, Dr. Nashid is one that really listens to you and your concerns. I am generally a nervous dental patient, but with him, I am always at ease. A particular thing that I really respect about him is his "conservative approach" to dentistry. In general terms, this means that he isn't going to recommend you undergo procedures unless they are actually necessary. I recently had a routine cleaning at a different dentist (because I am away for school). I was told that I needed six fillings redone. When I came home and checked with Dr. Nashid, it turned out I only needed one taken care of. This is just one example showing that he genuinely cares about his patients, and is not just "in it for the money." Thanks again, Smile View Dental! You're absolutely amazing.

My husband insisted that I needed to go and found a local clinic, Brock North. "Don't worry," he said,"I'll be there holding your hand the whole time." Dr. Fernandez was very supportive and understanding of my panic (the result of a lifetime of truly horrible dental experiences). He told me that I needed a root canal, and I screamed (according to my husband), "Just pull it out!!." He insisted on saving the tooth. The root canal, 16 years later, is still brilliant. And 16 years later, I am still a patient. They didn't have any problem with my husband joining me for my appointments during the first four years, and my husband, son and daughter also became clients of Brock North Dental. All I can say is Thank You, Brock North Dental and Dr. Fernandez. For anyone with any fear of dentists, I urge you to give Brock North Dental a try. It's not scary, I promise! Also, Dr. Fernandez set me up with a great dental hygienist, named Donna, and the receptionists know that she generally does all of my cleanings. Donna is not only a great hygienist, but also an interesting and compassionate person. Thanks to Brock North Dental, I now go to dental appointments on my own, just like the adult that I am supposed to be!
