This day, I found myself curious of the shops around & entered Brookline Booksmith w/ an optimistic mind! Okay, so I was totally not expecting this store to be so big. It has two sides, one with little Knick knacks, stationery items, + gifts & the other side was mostly books! They had a great selection of books, basically most things you could find at your local Barnes & Noble, just with a better gift selection hahaha. The gift side reminded me of the paper store almost BUT BETTER. Anyways, yeah so I will be back soon & I'd say it's worth the visit if you haven't explored this gem yet ;) Great place for book lovers, gift givers, & even just if you like finding cute things that you typically wouldn't see at other stores around.

You work at a board game/card shop, get off your high horse. If he had simply said "1 item TOTAL", I wouldn't have had to ask for clarification. I wouldn't even be writing this review. He rings me up, hands me my stuff, I say thanks, he says nothing back. Like... why? All the other employees say "you're welcome" or "have a good day" or *something* when you check out. I really enjoyed browsing through the comic books- there is something for everyone. Whether you are a fan of Venom or a fan of Tom and Jerry, you will definitely find something of interest. There are also a bunch of autographed sports jerseys on the walls. You can tell that the owners are extremely passionate about sports and comic books. They have weekly trade nights (check their Instagram for dates). They can also help you to get your comic books graded. I am excited to see what other new merch the store will have. This is also a great place to grab gifts for friends who love sports and comics!

I mean a store dedicated to Harry Potter -- come on?!? And what I found wasn't some corporate, merch-filled spot but something that seemed to have grown out of the love the owner has for all things HP. This small shop includes photos and facts about the cast, mixed in with a fun assortment of items. In particular, I liked the Letter from Hogwarts wallet and items related to each of the Hogwarts houses. (This girl is a proud Ravenclaw, in case you were wondering). I ended up buying my kids plastic pens that look like quills. The owner was talking enthusiastically to all who entered, and when I told him that it was my birthday, he said he had something extra special for me and gave me my own, gold laminated train ticket from London to Hogwarts.
