They are very mindful which classroom each child is in depending on their developmental milestones. They will move them up when the child is ready and always are willing to have a conversation about it if a parent feels differently about anything. They are amazing at keeping up with healthcare recommendations, especially enforcing vaccination, which I greatly appreciate in this era. They are very transparent about any infectious outbreaks that are happening so that parents are aware for each individual classroom to be on the lookout for symptoms in their own child. They use dojo to communicate so that we can see pictures and videos of all of the great learning and fun that our children are having as well as to send messages to the parents. They celebrate all of the national and international holidays, which makes this daycare, especially culturally inclusive. I love the diversity of the teachers and the children, building a wonderful social foundation for my children to experience while they have been here from three months all the way through five years of age.

As nervous parents dealing with COVID fears and food allergies, we were so worried at first. But the staff promised us everything would be okay, and they were totally right. This place is special because: - The teachers genuinely love what they do and it shows - Our son learned to read and write in TK Sharks (we were so impressed!) - They handled his allergies perfectly, giving us such peace of mind - He was SO ready for kindergarten thanks to them Walking in every morning and being greeted by Ms. Taylor, Ms. Christine, and Ms. Theresa at the front desk just starts the day right. And the teachers throughout the years, Ms. Dianne, Ms. Ginger, Ms. Tammy, Ms. Barbie, Ms. Erin, Ms. Madi, Ms. Christy, Mr. Nick, Ms. Carmen, Ms. Julie, Ms. Paige, Ms. Suko, Ms. Priscilla, and Ms. Parvin have all been incredible. Each one has touched our hearts and made such a difference in our son's life. After all these years, SEA feels like home. Our son loved it, we loved it, and we're so grateful we found this wonderful, caring place. If you want your child to be loved and nurtured while learning and growing, this is the place!

I paid Kristi a flat fee to work with us. She had explained that this would cover unlimited phone calls, emails, meetings, etc until the IEP process was completed. Unfortunately, Kristi was really busy handling many IEPs and didn't have the time to return phone calls, emails or even texts. We didn't communicate often, but when I did reach out, I would have to re-email or re-text to ask if she had seen the email or text. The amount of work she put into my son's case was extremely disappointing. I had been messaging her leading up to the scheduled IEP date to discuss the paperwork the school had sent me with no response. She literally called me ON HER WAY to my son's school the day of the meeting to go over everything quickly with me. During the meeting, it was apparent that she hadn't already read the IEP as she said she would, and was "winging it". This was far different than she had originally advertised what this experience and process would be like. In hindsight, I really wish I had used the other advocate I had in the past... I would have saved money and received better help in the process. When I brought my concerns up with Kristi regarding the lack of time and effort she had spent on my son's case and asked for a refund of some of the fee, she was short with me and offered a very small amount back. Even that took much prodding and reminding for her to actually process the small refund. I would be careful if using her services and perhaps get the scope of work down in writing. Also, be prepared to do the heavy-lifting yourself.

Of course even more biased because I have been on the PTA here for the last 10 years. Gotta put a plug in for the PTA....but they work hard to make sure our staff and kids get 100% support! Mr. T set high standards for this school and with our new principal Mr. Lee he has even set the bar higher. They have both done an extremely awesome job with the school. We have a lot of activities that we do for the kids from our money making Fall Festival, Spring Jog-a-thon, Family Movie Nights, Family Dance, etc. Casa Mira View across the street is a tremendous assistant financially to our school. Perfect place to live so the kids can walk right across the street. Our PTA supports an awesome art program through Art Corps. This allows the kids to learn 8 fantastic art lessons which we then present at the end of the year at our Art Show. With the support of our PE program headed by Mr. Kaneko the PE also helps fund our Swim Program. Grades 3-5 take part in a twice a week swim program for 6-8 weeks in the Spring. Our 5th graders get a one week full of fun before their promotion in June that 2 of my 3 have the pleasure of enjoying. I can go on and on about the school....message me if you ever have any questions. I also work at this school is a special education assistant, because I love this school so much =)

Every child and family have different needs and it was important that we found teachers and an administration that was willing to partner with us to address any concerns and proactively work together to find solutions. We have been very impressed with the leadership, admin and teachers' transparency, accountability and communication. So many schools can feel like a corporate profit driven endeavor and we have observed that Lifetime cares deeply about children development and curating their interests. A simple example is that we asked that our child be allowed to observe the classroom Montessori 'work' session in action before making a decision to enroll her formally (this would be the first time our child would observe a Montessori class in person). The school year had already started and the Director, Kristin, asked that we hold off until the second or third week of school so that she could support the teachers to protect the integrity of what they were trying to establish in the new classroom on the first week of school without creating a distraction. She could have easily agreed to allow us to observe sooner so we could enroll earlier (other schools did), etc... it's through small actions and decisions that we felt comfortable placing our child there with a team of educators and admin that truly put the children's wellbeing and needs first. They also have set up a system of room parents that are very helpful to guide fellow parents with onboarding, external play dates and organizing events. There is no perfect childcare or school, but at the end of the day, we chose Lifetime because we are confident that the whole team works together to communicate openly and will partner together to honor what's best for our child. It's also a great sign when the teachers choose to coteach together for multiple years, clearly, they are enjoying it :). Thanks to the whole team for putting in their efforts to create a space for children to explore, learn and play!
