I have been active my whole life playing sports through college and being in the military as well so I have done some great workouts in my life with some amazing trainers and gyms so I don't say what i am about to say lightly. The classes are great for both conditioning and strength. The atmosphere is amazing too. Everyone is encouraging in the classes and pushes each other to reach their max potential while working out. Luke is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to get the most out of you while you are in the gym. His trainers are amazing as well and do a great job adjusting to each individual at the gym's strengths. It is nice for me to know that I will be coached and corrected to proper form and told to go down in weight to make sure I am not hurting myself and getting the movement right. I had never done really anything with kettle bells so this was all new to me so the coaching has been great from all the trainers at The Lab. I look forward to times I go there because I know I will pushed to my max and never forced to do a movement that hurts me because they are great at giving you a variation or something different to do in place of that movement. I highly recommend trying out a class and signing up.

The steam room is one of the main reasons I joined, and in speaking to others it was their reason as well. My former gym "Golds" had a service to repair equipment, also cleaning was done continually, floors, equipment, and especially locker rooms including drains and toilets. They hired students and PT employees for cleaning, the service repair were a contract service via the equipment vendors. I read-up and checked out all of the highly reviewed trainers in town, but found most of them either had inconsistent customer feedback or didn't really focus on weightlifting.... Biju is different and not only looked the part but has also demonstrated over the course of ~20 workouts a deep knowledge of each muscle group, which movements target each specific muscles, and how to get the most gains out of workouts. I'm impressed by the physical changes of my body over a short time and how no two workouts are ever the same. Each session is one hour and targets two muscle groups (back/biceps, chest/triceps, and shoulders/legs). I also appreciated that he doesn't focus on any injury prone / dangerous movements as past trainers have had me do exercises that inevitably lead to a hurt back etc. which put me out of action for several weeks. I highly recommend Biju and you won't find a better trainer in Spokane if you want to focus on building muscle. His prices are also very reasonable and they are a well run family business.

The owner was so welcoming and flexible with us, even setting up an extra class time one week so we could make it when our schedules prevented us from joining the usual times. They have Pilates socks you can borrow (helpful for me as I'm not a regular). Instructor Shane gave us a gentle introduction and instructor Alex challenged us as we got more comfortable. I was mildly sore after each class, just the right amount. It's also right by the grocery store and a coffee shop for after-class food and drinks. If you're considering trying Pilates, you can't go wrong here.

So when I finally get back there to talk to her and begin my appointment, at long last, the lady acts like she could care less and says well we have 9 minutes she said like with an attitude of total indifference. I asked if she had an appointment immediately after mine? She says "that's how I work" and her tone was still very uninterested in the fact that I just stopped everything I was doing to come down here, changed my clothes, etc..
