In terms of the theater, it is always clean and the seats are comfortable compared to other Broadway houses. There is a nice slope to the theater so very easy to see over people's heads. We were in the middle front mezzanine and could see perfect. I think you would miss some things if you were all the way on the side. The concessions stand was great and the line moved super quick. My one complaint is that the bathrooms are small, so definitely jump up quick at intermission to avoid standing in a huge line. All in all, I love seeing shows here! Definitely recommend getting a table at the Smith first for some pre-show eats :)

Entering the Lincoln Center complex is so impressive... ballet, opera, theater and more! It's hard not to stop before entering the buildings to admire the architecture and fountain. I've seen numerous shows including there: Ragtime, Flying Over Sunset, My Fair Lady, Oslo, King and I, South Pacific, Contact, Six Degrees of Separation, and Anything Goes etc.

A grand old dam of the scene that is over 100 years old, it has been maintained well and our seats in the 11th row for the evening performance of "Chess: The Musical" were excellent. Some of the previous, notable performances include "Les Miserables," "Water for Elephants," and "The Boy from Oz." Leg room was about what you would expect, unfortunately, but that comes with the territory. Ushers down in this section were extra snarky and while it wasn't pointed at me, I could see others not necessarily appreciating the sassiness.

The Imperial is the Shubert organization's 50th venue in NYC. It was constructed in 1923. The auditorium is a NYC designated landmark. The theater is located on 45th Street between 8th Avenue and Broadway. As with other theaters, you initially line up outside. You're then ushered into the narrow lobby, and directed to form two lines till the auditorium doors open. It's an orderly process. I'm a cheapie. I go for cost-effective seats with good visibility. If they've got a mezzanine and balcony I'll spring for the mezzanine. The Imperial's mezzanine is divided front and rear. My seat was dead-center rear mezzanine, and as good as I hoped it would be. As with all these gracious old theaters seats are a bit tight and legroom lacking. I saw 'Chess,' an excellent production -- dynamic singing, staging -- with artistic liberties taken toward historic SALT talks. You don't have to play chess, or even remember the nature of SALT to enjoy the show. Go see it!

My partner and I were lucky to obtain tickets via an online market reseller (the Tickets Center) at Left Orchestra, row P, for last night's performance of Riverdance 30. Upon entering this warm and inviting venue as first-timers with an orchestra and the balcony section, we were greeted by the staff and waited for the doors to open 30 minutes before the start of the show. The bar on the main floor had alcohol, soda, chips, and other light snacks. Our cushiony seats were comfortable, providing a clear view of the stage and a great sound system. The show was a fusion of traditional and contemporary Irish as well as international dance. The music is choreographed with stunning costumes and cutting-edge visuals, bringing its magic to audiences. Prices were comparable to the area and artist. Parking was offered via the online market reseller, and I purchased it. The location was a 15 min walk, and we were okay with that. It was so easy to enter and exit without the congestion. However, the QR scan ticket provided by them was not able to be scanned at the destined location machine. As a result, I had to pay twice. When communicating with this reseller, they refused to refund, as it was a final sale. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out by contacting directly the Mayo PAC and not Tickets-Center.

We were dropped off at the front and the staff was informative on the "no camera" policy and overall just being of assistance to the customers arriving. The only reason I wanted to give this theatre 5 stars but settled on 4 is because of the lack of leg room. It is slightly uncomfortable when sitting for long periods but overall, this vicinity is great. Clean. And what you're there for (a performance), is what you're going to get! As long NY strips are, there's plenty to do before or after a showing here. If you have that time and funds, I'd visit again!

Visited The Barrymore to see August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone play with an ALL-STAR cast. I felt like the show was carried by Joshua Boone, who played Herald Loomis and Ruben Santiago- Hudson who played Bynum Walker. They stole every scene they were in. I must also say that the actors who received top billing were good but I was disappointed in learning from fellow fans (waiting up to one hour outside of the theatre to see them) that TPH never comes to sign autographs or take pictures, and CTE came out after exactly 1 hour and signed and took pictures for 5 mins and then was ushered away by his security. Broadway has always been the place where you can see actors live and have the chance to really connect with them, but I left disenchanted, as many around me did. If you get a chance to see the play you should, but lower your hopes for the Top Billed actors.

The staff were pleasant and got everyone to their seats in a quick and orderly manner. This Broadway show was such a refreshing experience. It was light-hearted and so much fun to explore the town of Schmigadoon. Lively songs like "Corn Pudding" and sentimental tunes like "You Make Me Wanna Sing" definitely kept the audience engaged. Each cast member brought their A-game executing wonderful vocals and spectacular choreography. The staging and props were nicely done, and the seamless transitions between scenes were spot on. It was also exciting to see actress Jennifer Simard, who played Helen Sharp in Death Becomes Her, portraying Mildred Layton. Her voice is so recognizable; I was thrilled to see that she was a part of this production. She is such an awesome talent. There was so much to enjoy about this show I would absolutely go see it again. It was a fun night out that kept my husband and me laughing at every turn. I highly recommend it!

If you're prone to vertigo, avoid the balcony. Walking down to our seats, I thought I'd fall if I didn't hold onto the rails. The balcony is steep, called "raked," -- a term new to me. We did however have a good view of the stage which I guess is what prompted the design. Okay, here we go: Theater Etiquette, directed to the two morons sitting behind me. Your seat is the only space you're entitled to. Your pocketbook straps do not belong on my seat. Crackly candy wrappers throughout the show ..... NO! And that raucous laughter. Out-of-control nervous laughter over everything, funny or not. My husband, who never complains said 'this has got to stop.' We missed half the dialogue. When I thought things couldn't get worse a cup hit my back, with some kind of liquid splashed over my new shirt. I'm not gonna tell you what I did next ..... The show "Shmigadoon" is clever and funny. I would have preferred a different venue and most assuredly a different seat.

But they made smart use of the space. The theater is well laid out for the audience. Restrooms are located downstairs in the basement. Multiple floors had refreshments and snacks available for purchase. Merchandise was also sold throughout the different floors too. One of the features that I appreciated was that the orchestra section had stadium style seating. So, you're not stuck staring at the back of someone's head. Overall, the theater offers a comfortable and well organized environment for broadway shows.

Not adequate for all the theater-goers, though I believe there's a small bathroom on the main floor for those with mobility issues. Staff distributed fans to everyone waiting to enter, which was very cool when used for applause. The "Jellicle Ball" is lively and fun, with spectacular dancing, singing, costumes and makeup. Though I had no interest in the original production of "Cats," my interest in this was piqued when featured on CBS's "Sunday Morning." BTW, if you're eligible to join TDF you might want to look into it to reap deep discounts. If you're visiting from out-of-town, Sardi's, a Broadway institution is directly across the street. Needless to say we did not make it for curtain call. However, through Telecharge, we were able to get our tickets reissued via the "no scan" policy. Thankfully on Wednesday, 6/11/25 we made it. The "parking Gods" were on our side because we lucked up on parking and had ample time to stop for a bite to eat. The Broadhurst Theatre is a Broadway theater one of many in the Theater District of Midtown Manhattan. Opened in 1917, the theater has 1,218 seats across two levels and both the facade and the auditorium interior are New York City landmarks. I have seen multiple musicals/plays at this theatre the last in Sept 2023 - The Neil Diamond Musical: A Beautiful Noise (courtesy of Yelp). View from seats (orchestra and front row balcony) was great. With the typical tight seats and minimum leg room, I always find the tight seating perplexing, yes people are generally larger in size now than in the 1800's and even early 1900's. However, at that time the arts were exclusively for the elite and wealthy. Historically speaking the women wore dresses with an abundance of layers and excess fabric. Not to mention huge petticoats under their skirts. How did they sit??? Nonetheless, I digress. Now for the show... Betty Boop is a cartoon character, whom originally appeared in the Talkartoon and Betty Boop film series, which were produced by Fleischer Studios and released by Paramount Pictures between 1930 and 1939. Betty Boop based on and inspired by a Black jazz singer named Esther Jones, also known as Baby Esther. Jones's unique "boop-oop-a-doop" style and stage presence at Harlem's Cotton Club were the primary influences for the character's signature vocalizations and overall persona. While Helen Kane, a white singer, who also claimed inspiration from Jones and even sued the studio stating that Betty Boop was modeled after her. The musical goes between the fictional cartoon world of the 1930's and present day. Addressing topics of acceptance, belief in one's self & creative abilities and love. An enjoyable show with great musical numbers that are very kid/family friendly. Just A Note: -Final performance was 7/13/2025 -"No Scan"policy - if you have tickets to a show that you miss. As long as the tickets were never scanned you can contact the box office for tickets on a future date. Provided that there are available seats.
