I loved that there was seating which indicated they didn't mind if you stay awhile. I was created by the owner and welcomed to explore. We shared the relief of finally opening. The snack prices were fair and the selection was large. I loved that she had healthy snacks like tiny Gatorades and fruit bars. There were book themed candles which smelled amazing! It's a great place to go before you go and see a movie next door and grab a coffee just to relax. Books-A-Million stores feature Joe Muggs cafés. They have a huge selection of books, magazines, gifts and fun, random inventory. The staff is friendly and helpful if you ask for assistance and they keep the place pretty neat and organized. Ample places to sit if you just want to nerd out on your computer. Overall, I love the smell and feel of a brand new book & have no issue coming to a physical bookstore if I want to pay full price for a book in this day and time. I'm glad there's still a Books-A-Million in the area.

If you love comics and pop culture in general, you really need to stop by this store. We try to stop in whenever we're over in Mandarin. While I've never been big into comic books, I've always loved pop culture collectibles. I know they can't carry everything in store but every time we're in there I'm amazed by how much they do have on hand. Sure, there are huge online stores that you can order tons of things from but like always, I'd rather support a local Jacksonville business if at all possible. Especially if it's a place I've received great customer service from before and that's the case with Mythical Mountain. We've called ahead before when we were looking for gifts and had them remember the call hours later when we got to the store and helped us find the perfect gift. I took a few pics to share but I still don't think it gives you a good idea of how much stuff they have in the store. I didn't find anything I wanted to pick up today but my wife found a Mick Foley action figure that she bought for herself, so that's a win for America. If you needed any further proof of the level of customer service and care they provide, you don't really need to look further than the most recent post I made about them in the the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group. I posted a recap of our most recent visit in the group and mentioned the part you just read about how I didn't find anything then I mentioned that I need to call them some time to see if they can get their hands on one of the Michael Jackson figures made by Blitzway because they seem like the type of store that might be able to get that type of thing. Then I went on to say that even if they can't get it, I'd still rather try if I can go through a local place first before somewhere online. Within minutes, the store owner left a comment asking me to send her a DM with information on what I'm looking for to see if she can help. See what I mean? You can't get that kind of customer service from any online store, no matter how big and bad they are... If you like stuff like this, stop in at Mythical Mountain in Mandarin some time. Even if collectables or comics aren't your thing, I bet you could find a gift for someone you know at this store with ease. The various types of incense that they had was outstanding with various flavors and types. I also liked the instant containers for there was many to choose from. The stones I would love to take a lot of them home if I could only afford it! The prices were very reasonable enough so that it's worth returning for! The customer service was phenomenal. The three that were working there were friendly, professional, kind, and very welcoming and embracing. Listening to them talk to other customers treating them as if they were the most important carried on to everybody. This is definitely a place to return.

I have shopped here many times but today specifically I came to design a piece for a friend who is traveling out of the country for her first time. In this piece I was looking to evoke protection, adventure, and positivity. I was assisted and found the perfect stone: Mookaite. A staff member helped me choose the stone and create ideas of how to wrap it so it could complimented by the coin I brought in. Whether you work in oils, acrylics, watercolor, resins or any and all kinds of drawing- they have a fantastic assortment of it all! There is so much selections of paints! And the aisle of brushes- I may have picked up a pack! I want to hit the loose brushes hard. And I already have a ton of brushes! I went in with the idea of restraint. I have a lot of supplies already at home, but everything is SO tempting!!! Plus I got a grand opening discount~ hey heeeyyyyy!!! The ladies at the register even helped me look up more poorly described brush I have at home! I would love a replacement- but it's quite an unusual brush. They found it on the website! I love that all the libraries around here have a little section of books for sale. But Seymour's…read moretakes this to the next level. It's its own little bookshop within the library. They have a wonderful selection of books! Lots of fairly new reads, many classics and even some fancy first editions. The vast majority of the books seem to be about $2 with some variation for some of the more special books. They had some very sweet and helpful volunteers in there as well. This isn't super close to me but I will make it a point to go again and help feed my book buying obsession.
