I arrived there for the first time and was greeted nicely. In a few minutes I was asked to sit down to start threading my face, neck and eyebrows. The young lady (begins with the letter D) did an excellent job and will be back as enjoyed the experience. read more

I have been to this location multiple times. Within the mall they have 2 locations: a kiosk upstairs next to Starbucks and the other store is on the first floor around the corner past HM. This place has a high turn over which makes it hard to stick with one person. It's usually like a lottery, you go in, you get your eyebrows done and you hope for the best results. If you have someone you like, do yourself a favor and ask for their schedule. You do not really want to experiment with your eyebrows :) Overall, it's a good spot to get your eyebrows done: friendly staff and fist of all, clean! They also provide you with a stamp card where I believe every 8th visit is FREE! Besides that they give you a 20 percent discount card here and there. Thank you for reading this and I hope you find this helpful. read more

Very good experience! Fast efficient and beautiful eyebrow shaping. The technician convinced.me to test out the brow powder and clear gel. I was very skeptical but wow! What a difference! Subtle yet dramatic. I bought the products to take home. Come on a Wednesday to get her expert touch. Also VERY easy to park and walk right into, no searching all over the mall. In and out in less than 30 minutes. read more

ive been going here since I was literally in the 8th grade which was 8 years ago lol.. I love how professional and nice all the woman are who work here. every time I get my eyebrows done which is usually every other month, all of them do such a great job. i always ask for a clean up with my eyebrows and for my upper lip to be threaded. coming from a girl who has very thick eyebrow hair im grateful that they always come out so clean and polished each time. I definitely recommend this place to anyone with thick course hair on your eyebrows to give it a try, even though it does hurt a little bit you will tear up but you know what they say (beauty is pain) lol. this will forever be my go-to place to get my eyebrows and upper lip done in new jersey! the lady who did my eyebrows and upper lip today was very nice she was pregnant I wish I got her name but if you go to the downstairs location I recommend her! :) read more

New York Thread - after getting my eyebrows done, you can definitely tell a difference! - Hair Salons Near Me - Lawrence Township, New Jersey

See all

New York Thread always gives me consistently bangin' eyebrows no matter who does them and no matter which location within Quakerbridge that I go to (kiosk upstairs vs hidden store downstairs). Considering that my brows are already full, all I want is a cleanup and a sharper shape. The one time I went to another salon to save $10, the lady created a hole near the center of my brow. How does that even happen? And every time I went to a popular waxing chain, my eyebrows did not even come out the same species, much less sisters. But here at New York Thread, I never have to worry. I always get my eyebrows and upper lip done at the same time. It's always pretty quick, max 5 minutes, and the staff are always kind. They also have a loyalty card where after 7 threading sessions, you get a free one, which is great for a regular like me. The salon itself appears clean and modern with its red color scheme. I also appreciate how you can place tip on card, so I don't have to worry about carrying cash or stopping by the ATM before I come here. Furthermore, the rose water that they apply after the session finishes feels relaxing and my post-thread breakouts seem less severe afterwards. There are some cons that I find in this place. Every time I've went, there's only one person upstairs at the kiosk and one person in the store. Why even have three chairs if there's only one person who can thread at a time? This presents an issue when there's multiple people waiting in line, and you could be there a while. Prices are also high, but for me it's not too much of a deterrent since I'm given consistent solid service. There are salons in the area that do brows and upper lip for only $7, but I am nervous to try that again. All in all, I am grateful to have a reliable eyebrow place! read more

the lady the works on Wednesdays does an amazing job on my eyebrows.great work thank you and so friendl.

I like this place. It's not the best most perfect eyebrow shaping experience in the world, but it's the only place i like in the area (threading wise.) I have a favorite person but I don't know her name to recommend her. I love the rose water spray used after the threading is finished. They do have a point system so you can earn free services after a certain amount of visits. One thing I do notice is the price steadily creeps up in $1 increments every couple of months. The red chairs used sometimes seem a little sketchy b/c of the number of people who sit in them but I do periodically see the employees cleaning them off. I would suggest conveying to them if you want thin or thicker eyebrows just so they know how you'd like your brows yo look. read more

My wife just went here to get her eyebrows threaded and the lady started popping pimples on her face and said her face was dirty. I was angry! What a disgusting place this is. Do not go there!!! read more

Do not ever go here! The woman today had my lip bleeding and completely red and swollen. I shudder to think what she may have done to my eyebrows had I let her try read more

There great I love going here. I only come here. They take there time and listen to want I want done to my eyebrows!!!!!

i wanted to like this place. really, i did. but, no. after 3 visits with 3 different thread-ers, i won't be returning. despite the new convenient location and large size of the storefront on the lower level of quakerbridge mall (way larger capacity than the old kiosk they used to have), there seems to only be one employee working at any given time. they tend to get a bit busy at peak times (especially weekends), so expect to wait about 20 minutes or so. there is a small waiting area, or i believe you can add your name to a list, sneak into sears or one of the other neighboring stores, and come back at an estimated time. i believe they do take appointments as well. the waxing areas themselves are on the newer side, but i've noticed a decline in cleanliness over the last few months. the place could definitely use a dusting and a sweeping. threading services range from just brows all the way to full face. prices and services as of early 2015: brows- $11 forehead- $5 chin- $8 upper lip- $8 lower lip- $3 neck- $10 full face- $35 partial face- $16 because it was my first trip to a threading place in quite some time, and because i'm a hairy beast, i went full face on my first visit. yes, i cried. because ouch. and because i'm a sensitive girl, duh. the process wasn't enjoyable, but was overall okay. the lady doing my threading (i unfortunately don't recall her name) was thorough enough, and i was pretty happy with the experience... until the swelling went down and i noticed that my eyebrow shape was inconsistent, and definitely not what i was used to seeing. in an attempt to get my brow game back on point, i went back to NY Thread two more times hoping for better results. NOPE. two more visits, two different employees, two more regrets. the last time was the worst- so many brow hairs were out of place, and my lip wax - though incredibly painful - was spotty at best. no thanks. NY Thread also offers other services- the prices below are from Feb 2015 (copying this all down kept me occupied while waiting)... Individual lash extensions- $35 temporary henna tatto- $10 and up ...but i haven't tried either of them, so can't comment. one good thing- you can leave the tip on your card, so no need to worry about having cash on ya! read more

New York Thread - Hair Salons Near Me - Lawrence Township, New Jersey

This place is large, clean and the one lady I have dealt with both times was very friendly! Threading is painful for some people but not me. I do find that my eyebrows stay fresh looking longer so that's a plus for me! I am going to try the henna within the next couple of weeks so I will update soon on their henna services. The 1 thing that I took 1 star off for was the lack of staff (one person working with several people waiting). I totally can't stand the wait. They need to hire another person. Sitting on your lunch or just breeding through May be difficult. All in all a good experience was had at this business. read more

Just left here. I asked the woman to keep them thick. She said she would and proceeded to massacre my eyebrows. I'm talking cut ridiculously short with scissors and then sliced off with thread. I specifically asked her to avoid removing hairs from the top part of my brow and she agreed and then did it anyway. I now have two different shaped brows that are entirely too thin. She knew I wasn't happy and tried to convince me that she "fixed them". The only reason I came back here was because a different woman did a nice job last time, but never again. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. read more

I've been going here for awhile and they've always done a nice job. This time it was someone new and I left with completely uneven eyebrows. Will not be going back read more

Rinishia did not listen to what I asked her and when I tried to explain got very defensive. Now I have two different shapes and look terrible. Do not go here. read more

Got my eyebrows threaded for the first time at this place. If you have a groupon make sure you don't go to the stand, the actual salon is next to sears. The woman who did my eyebrows did a great job and was very nice! I will definitely go back. read more

I wish I could review the quality of the eye brow threading for this place, but unfortunately, there were no employees at its kiosk or the actual salon near the Sears. I went to go get my eyebrows threaded at around 2:50pm today, found the salon near the Sears and the gate was completely down with not a single employee inside. I waited about five minutes, but the store remained empty with the lights on. I then noticed in the directory that there was also a kiosk, so I head upstairs across from the Lord and Taylor to get my eyebrows threaded there. But once again, not a single employee was at the kiosk. Confused, I checked to make sure I didn't misread the hours. But both locations should have been open. This time I waited about ten minutes hoping some employee would come by at some point. Still no one appeared at the kiosk to help. Having wasted enough of my break standing outside an empty business, I decided to leave and doubt I will return. I understand that these places can be small operations with a tiny staff. But a business interested in good customer service (especially one that wants to charge $11 for eyebrows) would have at least had the courtesy to put up a small sign or paper note indicating if/when an employee would return to help. read more

Love this place! Quick and my eyebrows always look fantastic. I was going when they had the kiosk but now that they have an actual spot in the mall it's even better. Never a long wait either. read more

Usually like this place. I've been going here for years and know how the point system works. Last time I was here I was given a coupon for a free eyebrow thread. Went to the location by Sears recently and got an upper lip and eyebrow thread. I handed her the coupon and the nasty lady who did my brows said I didn't have enough points for the coupon. I told her whoever took care of me during my last visit gave it to me as I had enough points. She proceeded to yell and me as if I was wrong! Any store with good customer service would honor the coupon and talk to the staff about mistakes. The lady behind the counter was extremely unprofessional. I will never visit that location again. read more

Got my eyebrows done today with Rinisha, and they look great! She even applied a brow powder which made them look even better. I've had my eyebrows done here before, and they looked good but not as good as today. It really matters who you get and the amount of experience they have. read more

Chitra always does an amazing job on my eyebrows. I drive over 30 minutes to have her do my threading. She is worth the wait.

Never come to this place - horrible - destroyed my eyebrows - specifically asked for thick eyebrows and they completely thinned it out - and ruined the shape. read more
