Chicken Parmigiana
Dorothy B.

I posted some pictures of our dinners: chicken parmigiana, chicken riggies and lasagna. Can anyone say.........HUGE!!!! First off, they were sold out of fish frys by about 5:30pm. I found out why when I passed a couple eating them. The fish looks amazing and is a really good sized portion. I'll be back for that. Our meals were absolutely delicious. The prices are very reasonable and there is so much food that we had our leftovers today for lunch. Kids didn't even complain so you know the food is great!!!

The only thing I've ever had from here are the chicken riggies. They're pretty good. They're always busy. One of the few places to eat in Waterville, NY. Small town Italian family local business. The owner, Frank, is always very friendly. Garlic knots are also good. People seem to like their pizza. Nice place to stop in and grab something quick.

It was wonderful. :-) We came here with friends also parents from the team. Easy parking. Fast service. We sat upstairs - it was like our own private dining room. We wound up parking a block away as they were pretty busy. You can dine in or take out. Table area was very clean. You place your order and they bring everything to your table. Service all around was excellent and smooth. Everyone went above and beyond. The kid got a small buffalo chicken pizza. I got a meatball parm sandwich. Meatball sandwich was very good. Quality of the meatballs was impressive. Sauce had a nice kick to it. They didn't cheap out on the amount of sauce or cheese. I made the right choice. I snuck a piece of the Buffalo Chicken pie. Chicken was on point. Nice size pieces. Not over powering with spicy sauce. Personal preference, dough was a little too thick for me, but again, that's my personal preference. Kid definitely enjoyed it. Boxed up a few slices for later on. A great alternative if you're in the area.

Eta Pie - Custom-made pineapple & olive pie

"Creative and whimsical" pizzas…read more Eta Pie in Ithaca NY was recommended by friends for some of their fun recipes, so we got several to-go for our contribution to a little gathering. We started off easy, with a Napoli red-sauce cheese pizza. It's made with the best San Marzano tomatoes and fresh basil, generous fresh-tasting sliced mozzarella, and a tasty tangy an Italian cheese blend. The red sauce was a traditional flavorful slightly sweet, slightly garlicky tomato sauce. All on a tasty thick-edged bready crispy-crusted soft-inside crust. It was a delightfully better-than-it-has-to-be cheese pizza. We thought the Palo Alto BBQ chicken pizza would suit us: richly flavored sweet lightly smokey BBQ sauce, mozzarella & smoked gouda, grilled chicken, and red onions. It was basically a flatbread. It tasted good, but to quote a guest, "it wasn't pizza" :-). Maybe it was the gouda that pushed it to the fancier edge. We struck out on our own with an olive and sausage red-sauce pizza. This was our favorite, due to the sweet bright fennel, garlic, black-pepper sausage, which surely tasted freshly home-made. Eta Pie has creative recipes and ingredients. Cheeses can incluse Gorgonzola, provalone, feta, paneer, Swiss, and ricotta. Sauces and drizzles include blue cheese, ranch, garlic butter, honey, pineapple-habanero, crema, mornay, pesto, herbed crème fraiche, masala, Korean BBQ, and a spicy red-sauce. Toppings include steak, carnitas, Black Forest ham, fried chicken, shrimp, clams, scallops, smoked salmon, bacon, bulgogi, caramelized onions, vidalia onions, jalapeños, broccoli, fried eggplant, spinach, artichoke hearts, kimchee, and even peaches! Meet the Eta Pie philosophy: creative culinary seriousness. Choose thoughtfully, and you will find excellence on a crust :-)

Another guy walked in and he did the same thing to him and the guy said thank you and the worker said nothing. It was very strange. The pizza somehow only tastes like a tomato, the cheese on both the regular and vegan pizza had no taste, the crust too, it all definitely needed seasoning. The bathroom was sooooo nasty and the toilet had something on it that I won't even discuss on here, just use your imagination, maybe the guy was mad about that?

I've wanted to go here since I was a kid. How cool does "Ye olde Pizza pub" sound?! Finally, I…read moregot to go at almost 40 years old. I was a little nervous, despite wanting to go here forever, because some reviews are completely awful and others are super old. So now I'm updating it for everyone else! You're welcome! :) Now, someone people wrote how "dark" and "dungeon- like" this place was.. c''mon! Read.the.name! It was as I expected, darker... but not so bad I couldn't see the people with me or how my food looked. There were super long wooden tables and benches, booths also available. It was chilly (it's a COLD January in CNY) but they had a gas fire and wall heater and the wall thermometer said "72" so it was probably me. It's definitely an older establishment- it was founded in 1971!!! But it brought me back to the bars of my childhood, as weird as that sounds! (I remember going to pizza with my parents after my dad's adult softball games and my parents would split a pitcher of beer.). Anyhow, there were wood panel walls and beige/ brown/ yellow floral tiles around the salad bar. It was an oddly comforting atmosphere. And yes, as indicated, the tables had etchings from since its establishment and they were a little sticky, but it could've been lacquer(?!). The bathrooms had updates and were clean and in working order. Sadly, there were no wenches and beer wasn't served in pub mugs as I'd hoped. Also, no horses out front or knights. Oh well!! Regarding the food and staff- This is an order ahead and serve your self kinda place. There are seats to eat in but you get ur own drink and they bring you the food/ pizza when it's ready or you order to-go. There is a projection tv for the kiddos and video games available. High chairs available. Definitely family friendly. I did call ahead, which I recommend as there was a steady stream of people coming and going. The person who answered was very kind and patient. I was able to locate a menu online although it wasn't connected to any online ordering or their website- fine by me. Everyone working was high school or college aged. Salad bar was good, basic, but yummy. Definitely reminiscent of salad bars of the past! To some people with high expectations, I can see their complaints, it's not a Ruby Tuesday's! We got pizza and taters. Taters are potato wedges for those that don't know- I didn't. I highly recommend them! Pizza was fine, not the best but definitely not the worse. They add ricotta my husband tells me, so it was a little different than I expected. My kids ate it no complaints. They also cut it in squares not triangles like most places. It was also thin cut not pan pizza. Overall, my kids behaved amazingly and enjoyed it. I enjoyed it, I'm glad I finally went. Would I go again?, probably, but I'm not wild about pizza so it wouldn't be my first choice. I hope this review helps anyone that skeptical. I say go and make up your own mind! Don't have super high expectations and you'll be fine.

What the hell was I paying for, the employee making pizza with his beats on his head? Better make some improvements if you are charging 5 star prices in a barely 2 star at best establishment.
