It had to be extracted. And just recently he talked me into a $1000 crown for a chipped tooth, and I went along with it because I trusted him. He ended up botching the crown build up. I had a root canal done today because of the pain and he soaked me for another $1559! These are his mistakes and he's too arrogant to own up to it and eat the cost. He tried telling me he could do a partial root canal, but it wouldn't be a good idea! This was his idea of "trying to work with me" I am going to report Sandro to every agency I can think of! This guy is a joke

I have been a patient of this office for at least 10 years. I recently moved to the Buffalo area,…read moreand was unable to find a practice that offers the same level and ease of care. So we are continuing to rely on Dr. Popelka and staff despite the commute. The administrative folks are very accommodating and take care of everything. This is not the case in other offices. I did not realize how many details they handle so that I don't have that burden. The dental care is outstanding. I have had some pretty intense work done over the years, and pain management is always stellar. Dr. Popelka has a real gift when it comes to administering the perfect level of pain control, unlike a different dentist who told me that pain during procedures is to be expected and I needed to learn to deal with it. Procedures are carefully explained, with options when possible. Any adjustment or discomfort after the procedure is swiftly and competently handled.

I highly recommend Rochester Endodontics. This practice made a bad situation (needing a root…read morecanal) into a pleasure. Madison who answered my calls was so sweet and helpful getting me in to see the doctor. Heather and the women at the front were so kind and friendly and really put me at ease as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Dow is very knowledeable, funny and kind (and easy on the eyes too- wink). I loved him and would recommend him to anyone. The whole procedure was quick and painless. (I couldn't believe it). A very sweet women gave me my after care instructions and followed up with me the next day to make sure I was still feeling good (which I was of course). They really care about their patients here. You should 100% go here if you need this procedure.

Root Canal? - NO PAIN! Unheard of! - Not with Dr. Kyle Saisselin! I had a horrific experience…read morethat left me very apprehensive. But this experience was completely different! My phone call was answered by Nicky who answered all my questions with patience and understanding. She provided reassurance for my fears and gave me a total breakdown of costs over the phone - so no surprises! The day before my appointment, Nicky called to remind me and when I showed up she greeted me with warmth like she knew me for years. Next came Donna, Dr. Saisselin's assistant. She added another layer of kindness and compassion - answering questions and sharing information on the procedure so I knew what to expect. Her knowledge and gentle handling of equipment made me relax and put me at ease. Dr. Saisselin introduced himself and allowed me to share my concerns about what I was feeling. He was thorough in explaining what he would do. Anytime I had questions, even during the procedure, he would stop and listen and answer me - with patience and without judgement - always with a desire to ensure I was comfortable. His professionalism, "bedside" manner, and expertise were superb. I will never have my general dentist perform the work of an endodontic. It just doesn't make sense. Dr. Saisselin has equipment that provides much better access in performing the procedure and makes it more comfortable for patients. I have to mention the NO PAIN issue. Dr. Saisselin uses multiple local anesthetics to ensure the maximum level of comfort. Injections are eased into the skin - not jammed or forced. My regular dentist had been jamming the needle into the back of my mouth, I could feel a crunching sensation as she pushed the anesthetic into my gum. It was not pleasant. My entire body tensed. She was very apologetic saying, "I'm so sorry, I know it hurts but that's how I know I've got it in the correct location." REALLY?! What was I thinking!? So, coming in to meet Dr. Saisselin for the first time and sitting for a root canal, I was waiting for the painful injection. But THAT'S NOT HOW HE WORKS! He numbs you first with a citrus topical for a little bit before any needle. And, he's very slow with the first injection and works it while rubbing the cheek to keep any discomfort to a minimum. I told him he should give lessons on how to administer anesthetics. This experience made me realize I don't have to be in pain when having dental work and gave me reason to change dentists! Thank you, Dr. Saisselin. You, Nicky, and Donna made a very uncomfortable and painful situation bearable. I highly recommend your services and will quickly return if need be, in the future.

I'm one of those people who's a little freaked out by dentists- I've avoided them, I've paid extra to go to "the best"- always been further freaked out, stressed out at the cost, and sorely disappointed. Years ago, I had facial surgery and screws are right near my teeth, so I've always been sensitive and would ask my dentists how that might affect procedures, etc. None of them had any idea or seemed to care whatsoever. Dr. Raggi was the first dentist to take his time in explaining to me how some of the symptoms I was having might be correlated, and how he would specifically factor this into his procedure and treatment plan. He was extremely thorough and happy to explain it all down to me- demystifying and making me far less freaked out than I have been for the first 30 years of my life. I appreciate that he came from a grounded, extremely knowledgeable and holistic framework, and didn't try to oversell whatsoever. The staff (Heidi) was really kind and wonderful too. Amazing resource in Ithaca!

I would like to start off by saying Dr. Omar was incredible…read more HOWEVER, the staff was very unhelpful, unprofessional, and unknowledgeable about how my insurance worked. I have an Excellus plan through the marketplace. They initially told me that I would receive a reimbursement check in 4-6 weeks... That time had passed so I called back and someone said they would get back to me later that day (no one ever did...). I waited another WEEK and had to call back again. When I spoke to a person this time they had trouble looking me up because the person initially taking down my information had it completely wrong... same birthday (month/day) but wrong year, same first name, but wrong last name, and the wrong street address (but the same street number...). Very odd and unprofessional - it seemed like they were trying to multitask or looking at information from two different sheets... It made enough sense to confirm it was me, but had SO MANY errors. Either way once that was resolved she said I would get a check for reimbursement withing a week. Another Week goes by and nothing so I call back AGAIN! And this time I find out that they cannot submit the claim because its through the state (I don't know how they missed that on my initial visit, but they did.) SO I had to call insurance and submit the claim on my own just to find out that Gorges dental was "out of network" - so now Im stuck paying "out of pocket". I WOULD AVOID THIS DENTIST AT ALL COST IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE THROUGH EXCELLUS, OR ANY PLAN THROUGH "THE STATE".

At Lake Country Dental, our motto is we look out for your dental health. That's because we take a proactive approach to your dental care, putting emphasis on good oral hygiene habits. We also take a complete approach to dentistry, considering the whole person - mouth and body - when formulating treatment plans. For example, if you have diabetes you are more prone to gum disease and dry mouth that may leave you susceptible to bad breath, increased decay and other dental problems. We may recommend a more regimented routine or a prescription mouth wash to help get ahead of any potential problems that may arise. We also understand that no matter how good you are at taking care of your teeth, dental problems can occur. When they do, we look at the whole picture before preparing and prescribing options for treatment. We believe that every patient can have a healthy functional smile for a lifetime. That's why we no only treat the bacterial cause of tooth loss like tooth decay and gum disease, but also the functional effects that may cause teeth to be lost.
