She offers gel polish and gel extensions, a lot cheaper than you'd pay in a salon. She has every colour gel you can think of, she has every type of nail art you could ever want and has examples of nail art already prepared for you to choose from. Salon do monthly offers on their website/ facebook pages so I popped in recently for a gel polish and eye trio (Brow wax, tint and lash tint) for £25 which is a total bargain. Good quality products used and the salon is decorated in a pop art/ Hollywood vibe. You can book online too which I love and the staff are very helpful in recommending treatments that would suit if you have any concerns. Open late to 8pm on Wed, Thurs & Fri evenings too.

After filing (in the most awful, uneven shape) the therapist Amy moved straight to painting...therfore painting the nail filings ONTO my nail...giving a LESS than desireable finish. She quality of her polishing was worse than the filing - much like how your nails look when you paint with the left hand. To be fair to 17 yr old Amy she will probably be amazing when she is working full time and has left tech. But for now a bit more practice on some false nails wouldnt go amiss. Im now home with a handful of smudged, warped, uneven messes of nails. Prob wont be back.

I discovered Angels when googling salons in Belfast during one of my sporadic economy drives. I was looking for a salon which did gel overlays for a competitive price and boy did I find it! I usually paid £35 for a set of lovely dark gel overlays but in Angels I get exactly the same product for £22. How budget conscious is that?! Not only is the price much better but I also got great service as the lovely therapist did most of a manicure treatment too, which is much more than you get in most salons when getting overlays done. The therapist was friendly and chatty and took great care over what she was doing with my nails and the end result was really good and they stayed on for three weeks. I had a look at the price list and just about everything is considerably cheaper than other salons, with no apparent drop in the standard of treatments. Although I am trying to make economies where I can, I simply must have my nails done darling and with the heavenly prices at Angels (can you see what I've done there?!) I am going to be able to maintain my glamorous standards. There are also special offers from time to time so hopefully I'll get a well priced spray tan or two in time for summer. Orla is a Crystal Nails tutor and distributor as well as a nail tech. There are 2 sunbeds, one of which is a maxi-twist collaten bed - 115 mins for £35. Creams and lotions for the beds are sold in-store. Always a friendly and down to earth welcome.

Alison herself has never treated me but the other girls who works there are really helpful. I can only make a tiny complaint about one thing - the girl once did my eyebrows followed by my tan (not the best order) and so my eyebrows went orange. My spray tan in this salon has always been perfect and I have never been anywhere else where they get my nails practically chip proof and beautiful. No messing about with tea - just in, sorted and out again. The girls spend plenty of time on each treatment and make sure it is done properly. Alison Crook's don't take credit cards and to be honest the price has been different each time I've been in so I never know how much I'll be charged. I often have to nip to the back machine, which they don't mind! I think they offer the best service and treatments I've ever had in the area for a very competitive price.

They offer straight forward treatments like waxings and facials, but they also do nails and hair, so it's pretty much a one-stop shop. The girls who work there are all really lovely too, so they're great at putting you at ease (especially when they're about to rip out your excess eyebrows with hot wax!) I find it really reasonably priced too, so I don't think I'll be going anywhere else in the near future.
