This station is pretty important for those who need to get to (you guessed it) Scott Road. Looks like the station has been renovated recently. With that said, the red 1990s LED signs could use an upgrade.

People were respectful and well-behaved, which I'm not accustomed to coming from the States. I was also quite impressed with the safety measures in place and how seriously any safety concerns were taken. Overall, I had a very positive experience using the station.

Except there aren't really any breweries here (other than ABC which is closer to Braid station). The old Labatt brewery is long gone and replaced by condo towers. The one thing that sticks out is that there is a nice elevated bridge that goes over Brunette, such that one isn't forced to go all the way down to street level then forced to walk all the way back up the hill, which I'm sure makes life much easier for some. The platform itself has this funky wheel sculpture. Wonder if it actually spins. Too bad it's between the platforms in a restricted area. Can't check it out without getting zapped or arrested. The other thing that is a bit weird (not sure if this applies to other stations) is that at night, one entire platform shuts down. In other words, trains use the same platform for both directions, despite what the "regular" signage says. The only way to know what's going on is to look at the screens on the platform and ignore the signage.

What sets this station apart is that there are 3 platforms instead of 2. Trains moving in the same direction can be on different platforms depending on the line. In other words, one cannot simply get off the train and wait for the next one when switching lines. Read the signs carefully. There is a large bus hub at this location. One of the original (Expo line) stations, on Royal Oak near Rumble…read more There is a passenger pickup area to the SE of the station, which is nice. This station is pretty old and dumpy. Pretty much unchanged since the 1980s. Futuristic look back then. Now it looks like a worn down space station. To be honest, the station itself isn't very good for several reasons. First, it doesn't actually span the road - the entrances are only on the E side. Secondly, the original station was obviously built without accessibility in mind. The staircases are narrow and steep. There are also no escalators. Looks like they added a ramp as part of a later series of renovations. Lastly, the platform area is pretty cramped. Yes it does the job, but it's definitely not one of the nicer stations in the network.
