This will likely be 5-star once the construction around the area is done. Currently it is a bit of a mess, trying to get to the station gates. The best part of the station is the little mall built around it where you can get your basic stuff here, including watching a movie. CIBC and RBC are here, as are Safeway and Shoppers' Drug Mart. There are a few eateries around for bubble tea, pizza, Chinese noodles, sushi and a bar/restaurant which looks over the Fraser River and railway track. Starbucks and Tim Hortons are also there if you need caffeine. There is also a spa. This is also a good transfer point to get to either the Millennium or Expo line. Parking entrance is through Carnavon Street.

Station along what is now part of the Expo line in New Westminster. Not much here unless one is…read moregoing to Royal Columbian Hospital, or the so called Brewery district. Except there aren't really any breweries here (other than ABC which is closer to Braid station). The old Labatt brewery is long gone and replaced by condo towers. The one thing that sticks out is that there is a nice elevated bridge that goes over Brunette, such that one isn't forced to go all the way down to street level then forced to walk all the way back up the hill, which I'm sure makes life much easier for some. The platform itself has this funky wheel sculpture. Wonder if it actually spins. Too bad it's between the platforms in a restricted area. Can't check it out without getting zapped or arrested. The other thing that is a bit weird (not sure if this applies to other stations) is that at night, one entire platform shuts down. In other words, trains use the same platform for both directions, despite what the "regular" signage says. The only way to know what's going on is to look at the screens on the platform and ignore the signage.

Its just a skytrain station. Nothing too special. I noticed that this station is not that busy. So…read moregot off this station and walked to the restaurant with a friend. There is a long ramp or walkway that you would have to walk before getting go to the big street. Sapperton is slowly developing.
