When I asked for them to return the funds they refused to do so. They did say they would give my son and I the lesson another time, but that they would be holding on to my money in the meantime. Of course there were no offers to pay me interest on those funds while they held them. Banks are a means to finance a business, not customers. Using customers to do so, canceling on them the last minute... it's not ok. Very poor experience.

Spoke to Chip and he said Duotone will not do anything about it and Chip said they ,Jupiter Watersports, could sell me another wing. Wow! 1 year is all can expect on a $2,500 wing. Knowing that other wingers wings have lasted longer than a year! I've heard that Duotone wings is known for short life span but 1 year is ridiculous! It's really too bad because the wing performance was excellent. However, that does not outweigh the price & short life span. The end of Duotone will look for other brands from this point on.

I had only played with a trainer kite in the past and Kurt was great at teaching me the basics of kite surfing. I will definitely go back for more lessons because I have a lot more to learn. After the lesson, Kurt sent me a summary of what I learned during the day and I found this super helpful. I've been mesmerized by kiteboarders for several years, but never had the opportunity to try it out…read moremyself. Then, five days ago during a windy stay at the Marriott, I did some investigating and gave Rick at Pompano Beach Kiteboarding a call. I initially signed up for a 3-lesson package, but ended up adding a 4th lesson since the wind kept blowing and I hadn't had so much fun in years. Rick was great, providing all the gear, great instruction, and encouragement. Best part was finally putting things together and getting up for a short stint. Next best thing was that, for a small additional fee Rick gave my 8-year old son instruction as well. The waves were pretty big, so I didn't let him go in the water, but he had a blast learning how to fly and control the kites. Only thing now is to find the Kite scene back home!! Thank, Rick!!
