Can't say enough about Brad @ Eastern Shore Forensics, but I'll try…read more.. Laptop OS and hard-drive crashed. HP wanted $300+ and 2-3 weeks to fix it. Called Brad. He picked up my laptop, and spent several hours trying to access the hard drive, where lots of important stuff for my business was stored. Alas, he (nor anyone else, because I had tried others first) couldn't fix it, because it was a mechanical error. I tried to pay him something for his diagnostic efforts, but he refused to take a penny. After installing a new hard drive, I couldn't get the OS to load. Again, HP said it was a hardware (motherboard) issue, and it would take $300+ to fix. Called Brad, who asked to take another look. That evening (!) he called to say that not only had he identified the issue, but had fixed it (and it wasn't the motherboard), and was in the process of loading all the factory settings. He also threw in a cooling pad, because the HD had failed from overheating. Total cost? $150...and I would have paid more! This guy runs a business the way it should be run. This is like if you hire an architect to build a modern house and you get a Mexican ranch style house or a hobbit house .... and then he charges for the invested time... I guess this is an example of how hard is to find companies with real values... in the long term doing the right things pays off with good reviews and referrals.
