I was not involved with the selection of New Venture Escrow. They got the dates wrong and even with notification, they could not put together a cohesive, clear path to close. It took not fewer than 23 emails to identify when we were closing, the status of our close. 4 complete business days after "closing" we still have not received tracking information for our closing packet, disbursement of funds. I called the office to speak to Shannon and got her assistant. The woman answered my question on the expectations of the file named, "seller open pkg - unsigned" and what else we needed for closing. I am not kidding when I say that she looked for the message I was referencing, READ IT BACK TO ME and asked, what I was not understanding. I asked, what do we need to do with these forms? Are there other forms, she proceeded to read the email AGAIN. I hung up and told my seller representative that they sucked. At this point I had NO FAITH in dealing with them and just wanted to get clarity on what was going on. They send files containing incomplete data. They don't use fillable PDF forms. They send packets out with no instructions, incorrect closing estimates and no details on what is expected or when. They don't double check closing dates and don't answer direct questions. It's almost as though they're doing this work from a cell phone. I have never had an experience like this with a title company. Never had to meet a notary with forms for closing where there are no instructions, no wiring instructions, NOTHING. I had to email them the payoff demand letter that they could not obtain even though it seems the other title company had their act together. They were sending email messages out regarding our part of the transaction with representation for the other party in the same message chain. We filled out their forms and signed them on 3/7. It's 3/16 today and still no tracking information, no knowledge if checks are sent. NOTHING to confirm that they have performed their tasks. I would not have known the mortgage was paid for had my bank not notified me. I sold a house in 2022 and it was 2 conversations and 7 messages to get us to pen in hand and close. This outfit is amateur hour, Busch League chaos. If I had paid for their services, I would want a refund and cold beers as reparations for this terrible closing experience. read more

Unfortunately they made a basic mistake on my escrow with them which has caused extreme heartburn. I would not use them again based on how they handled "THEIR" mistake. Before I even finished explaining to the escrow officer what had happened she became extremely argumentative, defensive and unwilling to listen.
