I was AMAZED at the facilities, care and services provided. My husband and mom were allowed in the room with me at all times, the doctors and nurses were amazing (shoutout to Sandy! I'll always remember you). Everything happens in your own room, mine had an amazing view! Their wifi is great, the food is really good too! When the time comes to have another baby, I'll for sure look at Evergreen Maternity Center as my first choice.

We brought a lot of stuff but you don't need that much. They have you covered with bottle of water, pillows, warm blankets, ball, peanut ball, food, snacks (except after hours), popsicles, juice, shower stuff. Just bring your socks, flip-flops, and partner's stuff/food. There's a main cafeteria downstairs though. We had to ring a doorbell. After a few seconds someone was communicating with us and after some info exchange, they let us in to the lobby. We waited a nurse who took us to the Maternity front desk where we checked in and we entered to the Triage room. It took a couple of hours to fill some info with them to finally take us to a room. We never left the room because of Covid although you can walk around. Everybody was super helpful, patient, and with the best attitude. At times it can be repetitive the info and I didn't want to many rounds at night disturbing your sleep but it wouldn't be a hospital without it. A very cute thing was that they print the baby's foot:) I just wish they could receive you with a welcome kit/amenities as in other hospitals.

The level of compassion and knowledge that she has is unparalleled and it was especially evident while I experienced loss. I also continued care with this group during my latest pregnancy and birth. I trust these women whole heartedly when it comes to making decisions about pregnancy and I always feel heard. Appointments are never rushed. My planned home birth turned into transferring care to a hospital because of low amniotic fluid. Through the transition of care all the way to the birth of my son, Cindie was paramount in supporting me in a way that left me feeling grateful beyond words that I chose Midwife Seattle. I would recommend Midwife Seattle to anyone seeking a home birth with the most amazing, compassionate, caring, and smart midwives in Seattle!

I felt like I learned more from her about my current random annoying small medical problems than I have ever learned from any doctor! Mel was my midwife for my daughter's home birth almost 1.5 years ago now. Birthing wasn't as bad as people make it osund. I understand why birthing moms may want epidurals, but in labor it was clear to me that there was no way anyone was getting me in a moving vehicle of any kind. I saw her, Jen and Cindi for prenatal care. The prenatal checkups were laid back, I felt well informed. They listened to me and would do what was necessary at visits while keeping the visits informal feeling, more of a dialogue of how pregnancy was going for me. As of maybe 2 months ago Midwife Seattle has split into two practices: Cindi and Amanda, and Mel and Jen. It came down to some insurance issue having to do with hospital births. So now all of them only do home births. Cindi and Amanda are at Midwife Seattle and I cannot recall the name of Mel and Jen's new practice.

As a first time mother concerned about possible postpartum recovery and breastfeeding challenges, I was so lucky to come across her practice while searching for a prenatal massage therapist! From our very first session, I was amazed at Chelsey's warmth, compassion, and wealth of knowledge. With her strong background in women's health, perinatal care, and lactation support, Chelsey understands the physical and emotional needs of new mothers on a deep level. She is incredibly intuitive and attentive, customizing each massage to address my unique concerns, whether it was nipple pain from breastfeeding, postpartum tissue discomfort, or general tension from the stresses of new motherhood. Chelsey's specialized training and certifications in techniques like prenatal massage, breast massage, and infant massage allow her to provide targeted relief and empower women through every stage of the childbearing year. Her work has been invaluable in helping my milk supply, easing pregnancy aches and pains, promoting postpartum healing, and bonding with my baby. As a doula, lactation educator, and former birth worker herself, Chelsey offers so much more than a standard massage. She provides holistic care with an empathetic, women-centered approach. I'm so grateful I found her and can't recommend Chelsey and Swan Perinatal Services enough for any prenatal or postpartum massage and support needs. Her services are simply unmatched!

She is Seattle's hypnobirthing grande dame, and her passion, experience and knowledge of the techniques she teaches have turned many a doubter (likely most of the male partners in the classroom) into die hard believers of the power of self-hypnosis techniques to attain complete relaxation and control. Most useful for us - especially my husband - was her empowering approach to birth: the birth experience does not have to be terrifying, over-medicalized, or powerless.

It was a wonderful experience and I wouldn't have changed a thing. I can't say enough about Barbara Decker she is simply amazing. We were lost in the wilderness before we signed up for her HypnoBirthing class at Great Starts. We did our research and found it to be a better deal than elsewhere and the class included Breastfeeding and Newborn Care which others did not. We knew immediately we were in good hands. We were also fortunate enough to have her as our Doula which was priceless. Her energy, attention, guidance was a true gift in the birth of our daughter.

We came in for our regular appointments throughout her pregnancy until our little one arrived at 37 weeks, so we got to know the majority of the staff. From day one, everyone was genuinely kind, caring, and extremely professional. We also attended their birthing classes, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Molly, who taught them. She was absolutely amazing. She explained everything so clearly, gave us all the information we needed without pushing any particular path, and empowered us to make our own informed decisions. Those classes taught us so much that we walked into the birth feeling truly prepared and confident. I truly believe they played a major role in how smoothly everything went. When the big day came, Charlotte and Amy were the ones by our side. They were outstanding. As someone who grew up in a family of 8 where nearly everyone went into the medical field, I've been around professionals my whole life -- and I can spot the real deal. Charlotte, Amy, Molly, and the entire special delivery staff are true professionals who know exactly what they are doing, they made my wife feel safe, supported, and as comfortable as possible during labor. Their calm presence and expertise made all the difference. The facility itself is fantastic. The rooms are clean, organized, beautiful, and have that warm "homey" feeling that helps you relax. Being able to dim the lights was a huge plus for creating a peaceful environment. The walk-in showers were another thoughtful detail -- my wife was able to shower comfortably afterward without any difficult movements. Because of how comfortable and well-cared for my wife felt at Special Delivery, she was able to progress through her contractions without any setbacks and had a smooth, problem-free birth. I honestly could never imagine having our baby anywhere else. Thank you to Molly, Charlotte, Amy, and the entire Special Delivery team. You helped make one of the most important days of our lives truly special.
