But upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Neelam's actually serve an array of food, all coming in huge portions. After having had a couple of beers, we were more than ready for a feast, so whilst my friend ordered a kebab I decided to order a burger. Both came with a side of chips and we proceeded to sit down and devour our meals in a matter of seconds. Fairly priced and combined with a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the staff were as helpful as ever, so much so that I've been back, tried a kebab and can safely say, it was delicious!

A little more expensive than your usual kebab joints, a meal including a drink costs around £7. There is extra seating upstairs and even a toilet! Here you're definitely paying for better quality food which in turn a better level of clientele (cough cough - Big Johns). Oh yes, food, my favourite subject. Moving swiftly on, we went for a portion of seekh kebabs, fries , mutton tikka and their infamous, atleast in my eyes, haleem. Their kebabs and mutton tikka are both delightful and great for all those fellow meat eaters out there. But the haleem is to die for. I say surprisingly good because the quality of food here would lead you to believe that it was pricey, clearly this is not the case. Worth a special mention is the salad, as strange as that may sound when discussing a kebab house. This is because it is a lot fresher, crisper and generally tastier than your average kebab house salad. The chaapli kebab was abit too spicy for me, but the flavours were good. The waiters were definitely kind and very helpful at all times! A minor is the menu. Before we planned on going to the restaurant, we searched some information about the restaurant. Because we only wanted to eat traditional Afghan food, but the menu that I came across on their website wasn't the same menu than the one they gave us! But I tend to skip those as the main meal portion sizes are massive! Today I had kofte with mixed vegetables and spicy rice. Other with me had handmade chips which looked tasty.
