My wife and I got the sampler platter with garlic Parmesan wings, fried green tomatoes and shrimp that is better than bang bang shrimp. And we got the Maryland crab cake. The food came out quickly and everything was made fresh, it was hot and delicious. I go go into all the details about how good it was, but you just need to come meet Tina and Trey and let them change your life. Thank you for putting so much love into everything about this place. If we are ever traveling through again we will be back!

What a gem we stumbled on here! We had the sample platter for a starter, shrimp, fried tomatoes and lemon pepper wings. Simply amazing! 2 of us had the corn crab chowder which we agreed is one of the best soups we've ever had! For meals we had the Sammy Davis chicken (5*) the Sunrise burger (5*) and the fried ribs( was a 2nd choice as they were out of the snapper. To me, I rate a restaurant on how I feel when leaving, was not worth the money ? Would I come back? We absolutely will, may even do it tomorrow before we fly home as there are so many other meals I'd love to try. As a bonus, the chef came out to greet us and we couldn't compliment her enough. Give this place a try - I promise you won't regret it!

Cooter Brown's is truly an Uptown New Orleans staple…read more This classic tavern and oyster bar is one of my go-to spots when I'm looking to just chill, grab a great drink, and enjoy solid New Orleans food in a laid-back environment. Located right at St. Charles & Carrollton on the streetcar line, it's super easy to get to and always buzzing in the best way. The drink options are endless--great cocktails, frozen margaritas, beer by the glass or pitcher, and a huge variety of beers to choose from. TVs are everywhere, making it a perfect spot to catch sporting events, meet up with friends, or just hang out solo. The vibe is low-key, casual, and welcoming--no frills, just a consistently good time. I also love that they're open 11 AM to 1 AM, seven days a week, which is clutch no matter the day or occasion. And finding out they've been around since 1977 just adds to the charm and legacy. If you're looking for great happy hour options, strong cocktails, classic New Orleans eats, and an Uptown spot where you can relax and connect with friends, Cooter Brown's always delivers. Definitely one of those places that never goes out of style. A true NOLA staple.

I love the location over the water! Once I got in there was no waiter present, so I seated myself. There were only 3 active tables with guest with ONE waiter. After 15 mins she came and got my order and brought me some water. Well once I got my food 30 mins later, my appetizer was cold, complete cold! I only have maybe an half hour before I get back to work so I just kept the dish. The batter on the tomatoes were very bland! Like it didn't taste like anything. The shrimp were very dry as well. Once I got my grilled shrimp plate, I thought I was in for a treat but .... I was wrong! The plate was extremely hot so I'm preeeeettttyy sure they nuked the dish before bringing it to me because my food was like warm. The BEST thing I had out of my 2 dishes were the Hushpuppies, if they would season their batter like the hushpuppies this place would be jumping!!!! As always let's take the time and apply some more love in the kitten crew. Happy Yelping.
