Yesterday I went back to the Li Health Foot Spa in Closter, NJ and had a full body massage for one hour. The price went up along with all other prices. The massage table was upscale with very soft leg cushions that were very relaxing. The female masseuse was great and used medium pressure witch I like and targeted the shoulders, upper and lower back, glutes and legs. It was a wonderful experience releasing lots of tension and knots. I was so happy I went back and will continue to have massages in the future on a regular basis at this establishment.

The space is…read moresimple and resembles every other $50-ish range/1-hour body massage establishment operated in the county, but for around the same price I will absolutely go out of my way to get my massages here. While the space has the standard no-frills vibe, the first thing I noticed was that the owners here have made sure to line the massage tables with plush, heated bedding and very soft leg cushions that immediately relaxed me - something I haven't seen in any of the other businesses. More importantly, the female masseuse I had was great! I like a lot of pressure and she definitely brought that; she also properly targeted the common shoulder, upper and lower back, and even glutes & leg areas where I think the majority of people experience lots of tension and knots (and I really felt it), whereas I feel like at other places the masseuses just mechanically work through whatever routine they're taught without any thought, and totally miss the spots I need addressed. I know I need more than 1 session to undo all of my built-up aches and pains, but this first massage really feels like it made a difference!

This used to be my go-to spot for a massage. After the pandemic, I understand that prices needed to increase, but they kept going up steadily, making it less feasible for me to visit as often. Recently, I decided to return because I had a membership card for a free massage. However, after the session, they refused to honor the card, saying it was "too old" and that it belonged to the "previous owner." I found this confusing, as the membership card had the same name, address, and phone number as the current business. To add to the frustration, they giggled while explaining why my fully stamped membership card wasn't valid. It felt like this was more important to them than retaining me as a loyal customer. I still tipped my masseuse $20 because she did a fantastic job, but unfortunately, this will be my last visit. I'm disappointed that they prioritized invalidating an old membership card over keeping a returning customer.

"Yumi" helped ease my migraine and even meled the muscle I always have tense in my back. She felt where my body needed it most and did her job well. The people with lower reviews are complaining because they don't like tipping properly. 20% is OK for going out to eat (but minimum): not services like this: especially when someone does a great job (sorry but some Yelpers are cheap and then they shouldn't be spending money on a self-treat like this then). The music was exactly what I want/need to relax and it was clean with no smells. No smells=truly clean. So relaxed right now that I thought I'd forget if I didn't do this right away. Sleep time now.

I basically walked in and was fortunate enough to have Sophia as my massage therapist I did one hour foot and one hour back and I told her not to hold back on pressure. Well she's amazing absolutely knew what she was doing and how to relieve back pain and she gives one heck of a foot massage as well. The place is very clean and comfortable and quiet also extremely reasonable for what you're getting. Thank you so much Sophia you're such a hard worker. I appreciate you giving me your energy today. See you again when I'm in the area and many thanks!!

I got the 60 minute massage and 30 minute foot massage package for $65. A definite bargain. I wasn't harassed at the end for a tip as I see is the case in some other establishments but considering how amazing my massage was I left a generous tip. There were covid practices in place. The business was very clean. The music relaxing and it was pretty quiet while I was there. There were individual rooms for the massages. Temperature was taken when I arrived and there was a questionnaire to fill out. Masks were worn by staff as well as required for patrons. There was plenty of parking and it took me all of maybe 3 minutes to find a vacant spot. I definitely plan to return because I feel incredible. Stress and tension were worked right out.

I should start off with this disclaimer: I don't like massages. I know I often need one because I…read morecarry all kinds of pain in my stressed-out body, but it's impossible for me to find a massage that addresses them without some level of pain and discomfort. Olive Tree Spa is the closest I've found in this area. Having been to a few 'budget' spas, I noticed a few immediate differences with this spa. Here, the space is light and airy, with the remarkably calming smell of essential oils that hits as soon as you enter. The first floor is dedicated to a reception desk and foot massages, while massage beds are upstairs. My husband and I booked a couples massage, and they had a clever curtaining system that allowed them to turn a larger flex space into a more private one for us. There's also one private room for a single massage. The massage itself was, in a word, skillful. There was general symmetry between what was done between one side of my body and the other. I didn't love some aspects of her technique, particularly a pinching motion she used around my neck that left me a bit sore until the day after. But it was still better than most, and she used plenty of pressure to work out the various knots and points of tension in my back and legs. What I appreciated most of all was the quiet. Our masseuses worked side by side but didn't exchange any chatter (except to occasionally hand each other hot stones or towels), and there was barely any ambient noise except for the sound of the air conditioner in the background. It was all the peace and quiet one would have wanted from a massage session. There's been some contention about the tip policy in reviews left for this spot. I'll share that after we paid, the woman at the register gestured to a printed sign that had suggestions for how much tip should be left, depending on the length of session. For an hour-long session like ours, for instance, the recommended tip was $20 per person. After pointing to it, she also plainly said, "It's just a suggestion." We ended up paying the proposed amount, but I could see how some folks might not take kindly to such pressure.
