Been coming here for years and Nina is the best. Shes been here 26 years and she's as excellent as ever. There's a new owner and the space has been upgraded but prices are still reasonable ($30 for a full pedicure and massage and foot bath!!) and you still get the wonderful massage chairs and the warm foot baths and the foot and leg massage while you have your pedicure. And you can catch up on all the gossip in the US magazines while you're here. Bonus!! Today I chose "grab the unicorn by the horns" blue because I'm All about blue. Fun times read more

While the pedicure that I received was wonderful, the one my husband got was ridiculous. He got the classic which is basic and I got the upgraded one for $10 more than included a sugar scrub. The woman literally worked on him for about 10 to 15 minutes and was completely done. Despite not having any polish on his toes, she didn't provide more of a massage to accommodate the extra time that should have been spent. Conversely, the woman I had continued to work on my feet for another 30 minutes before even applying any polish so the fact that he didn't have polish was really negligible as far as time spent. Wanted to leave another great review like we had the first time but unfortunately probably will not return based on this experience. read more

What an amazing experience! I am vacationing and broke a nail. Mind you I don't like "cheating" on my girl Hence, when I arrived, I let Chau know in advanced about my nail situation and honestly, my nails are outgrown and outdated. She did such an AMAZING job and the service was so great. She vibed well with my girlfriend which was great! She gave us a coffee and made us feel comfortable. The color I chose was the color I have been wanting and I am glad I gave this place a try! I am glad she had dip manicure which is quite difficult for some spots AND I am glad she fixed my broken nail by not hurting my finger and adding a Gel-X nail instead and saving it! So thank you!!! You can't even tell I broke my nail so they are all even. The ambiance was just perfect for being on a location so quaint! Thank you again and for making our vacation so amazing!! Visiting from out of town and needed to get a manicure. Nancy was very meticulous with removing the old powder gel from my previous manicure and cleaning up my cuticles to perfection. I was so happy with their service that I came back the next day for a pedicure. Both Nancy and Nina are so kind and hospitable. If I lived in this area, this would be nail spot. read more

I called for a pedicure appointment and got in right away. It is clean, quiet and Nina was absolutely AMAZING! Knowledgeable about feet and toes. I had ingrown toenails and she expertly fixed them. I left relaxed with beautiful toes that don't hurt anymore. She took amazing care of my toes and feet. They even offer a complimentary beverage including wine or beer. I had a hard gel manicure with the owner, Nancy, yesterday and she provided the EXACT nail service I have been seeking for many years. My nails are thin, the thumbs peel and the ring fingers split. Every salon I have tried ends up the same - harsh handling, pain, and low quality results. Not here and not with Nancy. Her attention to detail was meticulous, and she was kind and genuine. Called in the morning and they scheduled me for a 2:30 pedicure. I walk in, they set my chair up with scolding hot water, she files my nails down just slightly and rubs in a slab of tiger balm on my feet. Paid $30 for a nine minute pedicure. Which half was spent soaking my feet and her tending to two women who walked in. Terrible pedicure and I won't be returning. read more

**Really great service and relaxing vibes!!** I got their mid-tier pedicure. The nice woman who took care of me really put a good effort into making sure my feet were well taken care of after a long week. She brought me a beer - I said I don't have the energy to talk she said don't worry about it. As I said earlier the salon has a very earthy beachy relaxing vibe to it. I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking to treat themselves after a long week. It's not super high class but a well maintained and welcoming location. My only complaint is the wax wasn't as hot as I am used to but that could more than likely be due to too many complaining. I'll be back no doubt about it!! read more

Imagine your favoite local bar except that they also do nails- kind of like a Cheers! Well that's exactly what this place reminds us of! They even have beer and wine that you can choose from so that you enjoy as you get pampered with a manicure, pedicure or both! The staff is super friendly and seems like they are genuinely happy to see when their regular cutomers stop in. Even if you're new like us, they still make you feel right at home and don't treat you any different. We got the Classic and Deluxe Pedicures. If you want callus removal, go for the deluxe- in retrospect, we should have both gotten deluxe pedicures. When we go back, we will definitely do just that and maybe even get manicures done, too. The ladies that worked on us were great. They made sure that we were comfortable as they worked their magic. Parking can be a bit tough as the adjacent lot is pretty full, but there is plenty of metered parking along the street. It really wasn't too bad at all, but worth mentioning. We will definitely go back to this place again as we had a great experience! read more

Unfortunately, my last two visits with the owner were very disappointing. I paid $111 (including tip) for a gel manicure and pedicure on April 10th. Within just a few days (by April 14th), multiple nails were already lifting at the cuticle and beginning to chip. The gel application was also bulky and uneven. I hate to complain and I was just going to suck it up. But I spent $111 and worked up the courage to try to fix it. I called back respectfully to address the issue and was asked to come in today (April 14). During that visit, I was told to switch to regular polish instead of gel. When I asked about cuticle care, I was told that for my "skin type" they do not cut cuticles because I will bleed and that I should just wash my hands and the cuticles won't be visible. I was then also told that cuticle prep had already been done at my last visit, which was not accurate. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. The removal process left my nails extremely dry, with acetone placed directly on the skin, and the regular polish application was rushed, uneven, and poorly done (as shown in photos). The service was completed, but the final result was uneven and poorly done. At that point, I did not feel comfortable continuing the conversation or asking for further corrections, especially as another customer had arrived and the interaction had already become uncomfortable. I'm very disappointed, especially given the cost and the fact that I gave them the opportunity to fix the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this salon. I will not be back.

I am so happy I found this little nail place by accident. I have been to several nail salons in the San Diego area. All I have to say is this one is by far the best. You will receive first class service. Not only was was place super friendly but it made you feel like your hanging out with best friend or family member that u love to death. But most of all what I love about this place is a super clean and professional. I will become a regular now. Honestly, this was the best pedicure I've ever had in my life! The attention to detail was incredible--from the meticulous cuticle work to the perfectly polished nails. Everything was done with such care and precision. The salon was quaint, calm, and relaxing, and the ladies were so sweet and welcoming. Nancy was absolutely wonderful! You can tell she takes pride in her work and truly cares about making sure her clients leave happy. I'm so impressed and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! read more

I'm staying in Shelter Island this week. I called a few salons and this is the only one that could see me today, in the middle of the day for a gel mani/pedi with no appointment. I think my girls were both new as they felt timid and inexperienced but they worked really hard and banged out an amazing design for me. The owner walked over a couple times to check on their work as my design was a little complicated. If I lived here this would be my spot! read more

I went in for a last-minute appointment a very friendly staff greeted me right away. I was sat down just as fast and Lanny did an amazing job. She took her time, and explained the steps. I appreciated that, and she made sure that I wasn't in a hurry. I recommend her for anyone that has short nails and wants acrylics. I barely feel them on my fingers. And they look fabulous! Love this place to get my nails done. They usually can fit me in the day of but always a better experience during the week when they have more time. Saturdays are a bit crowded. Your feet will be treated to a multitude of treatments all included in the pedicure price. Other places try to charge $4 for this or that and here it's a one stop shop. You can also get a great brow wax or massauge while you are there. Highly recommend. read more

This place is so wonderful. All of the staff here pay close attention to detail. They really did all they could to make sure my car was as clean as it could be. I was very impressed with the customer service and exceptional quality. The prices were much more affordable than I was expecting. I have recommended this place to all of my family and friends. AMAZING! This is the only place I get my nails done at. It's so relaxing and clean. One of my favorite parts is when they bring you Vietnamese coffee. The owner is the nicest guy and is the best at doing your nails. I recommend him and this place to everyone. Parking is good. If you have some time in your day, I suggest getting your nails done, stopping by the gelato place a couple doors down, and sitting by the water. read more

I love a good facial and have experienced facials at many salons, spas, hotels, etc. Tammy at New Nails is one of the BEST I've encountered. Her facials include a head, neck, and shoulder massage that will make you weak in the knees. My skin glows and has pores so small I can't see them. All that and it's very affordable. Get on a monthly (or bi-monthly) schedule and enjoy your younger looking skin. read more

This is such a good local shop in Point Loma. Moni is a fantastic manicurist. She is patient, thorough and does a superb job. The prices are very reasonable. I have been a regular since I first came here a couple years ago. I highly recommend this location. All the manicurists are good at this shop, but I think Moni is the best-very professional and gives the best foot massages too! read more
