Never again…read more Initially I went on Tuesday. I walked over around 6pm - the store was in darkness even though their sign said they were opened until 8pm. I tried again last night. Walking in was confusing. The store is split between a man who does the salon part and then the girls in the back for nails. I asked for a shellac manicure. This process took 1hr and 20 minutes. I have never had a manicure take this long. It's a little insane. Their selections on colour of minimal, while doing my cuticles she went too deep and I ended up bleeding, and to top it all off my top coat isn't complete on one nail. I saw of the other girls getting marble nails and art nails done. Those were actually nice if that is what you're looking for. Otherwise I was really not impressed.

Gord checked them out last month and said it was a nice experience. There were lots of colours to choose from for polish. I choose Majestic Mischief and Gord got Blue Eyeshadow (which we renamed Blue Jays Blue) on his big toes. Our feet were soaked, scrubbed, massaged and moisturized for over an hour. They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. All the staff are friendly, clean up after each client, and know how to execute your nail look 100%.

I have been happy with my past two visits. I'm on my third week of having gel polish and it hasn't even chipped! Some things to note - make sure to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In April there was a ice storm and I asked to reschedule due to the poor road conditions. However, they said there would be a charge the next time I came back. I ended up going because I didn't want to be charged. I know it's a business but there should be some leniency when the weather is really bad. If you get a manicure they don't charge for polish removal. If you write a review you'll get 15% off (I think...or it's 10% off). Looking forward to my next visit this week!

It took two hours to get done and the lady that took care of me was so very kind and very considerate on my nails to make sure no damage was done. They look fantastic. They feel so lighter. I had no appointment. I just walked in and asked to have my nails removed and we went from there amazing service if you live in this area, you need to go to this location because they treat you like a human being. They care about your nails and they want you to leave happy I am very happy. I like that they have dividers between tables and chairs - which is great to protect clients from high covid/flu/RSV rates in the community right now.
