As a first-time mom, this class was truly a blessing. The combination of expert guidance and real-life experiences shared made such a difference in my journey. Every session gave me tools, reassurance, and confidence that I didn't have before. I especially loved how we were able to dive into both fun topics and the harder, more vulnerable conversations. It created such a safe space where I never felt judged--only supported and understood. This program has genuinely helped shape me into a more confident mom, and I'm so grateful I was a part of it. Highly recommend to any new or expecting mama

The investment is worth it, I promise! In 8 weeks, I learned about a variety of newborn topics that I was able to implement in my life. I made friends and connections that I'm so grateful for. Being in a safe place to be vulnerable and where everyone else knows exactly what you're going through made me feel like I wasn't alone in this new journey of motherhood. Looking forward to taking the infant class as well!

Here are some moms I met in the class! We got together at a brewery with the partners and babies!

New Mom School is worth the investment! I am a second time mom and I was looking for community- and this place delivered. It provided amazing tips, education, support- and organic community. We were encouraged to meet outside of class to get to know one another and over the course of 8 weeks I can honestly say I've made some wonderful friends. This is such a special season of life and NMS makes it even better! I recommend to first time moms, second time moms etc.

Starting my newborn class I was super scared as to what I was walking into. Upon having completed the 8 week cours, I feel so secure and confident about who I am as a mother. I found myself excited to go to class and seeing my classmates every week. It was such a beneficial experience for me as a first time mom and I can't recommend it enough to anyone on the fence or anyone even remotely considering the class. Megan and Daleena do their thing to make you feel super welcome and heard. All the professionals they bring in are extremely helpful in different areas a new mom might need. 100/10 experience. It's definitely worth the time and the money.

Ask the Community - New Mom School

I wanted to know if your classes for toddlers offer us moms solutions and support in how to handle behavioral moments? My child is currently 16 months and this would be our first time taking classes together

Hi Briana, Our Rising Toddler class is designed specifically for moms and babies up to 12 months old, so your little one would be just past the age range we cover. We offer expert guidance and support around early toddler development and behavior,…

My kids love that! Here's what we don't love: 1. The price. If they charged $12-14 per child and let parents in for free, I would easily give this place 5 stars. The bottom line is that it's overpriced for what it is. It is not a large space. It's actually the smallest children's museum we've visited, yet it is the most expensive at $15 per child and $16 per adult. It cost almost $50 for me and my two kids. Why are the prices so hefty, and why are adults charged at all? 2. No re-entry. Again, why? For the price, we should be able to leave for a bit to eat and come back. I cannot think of a justifiable reason for this policy. 3. The enforcement of arbitrary rules. Several times during our visit, the employees would come on the loudspeaker reminding parents that all children needed to be accompanied at all times. That makes perfect sense for toddlers and babies. But my kids are 5 and 9. My well behaved 9 year old should be allowed to explore and take her time in a station without me hovering over her. This is a safe place designed for children, so why are they not allowed to roam and explore like they can at other children's museums? If it's a safety concern of making sure they don't get kidnapped or leave the premises, then install a gate and check-out system. It would be quite easy since there are employees just standing at the front desk the entire time anyway. They also have an open staircase right there that seems hazardous to little ones, so a gate would make the most sense. There are far too many other incredible children's museums in Southern California (Kidspace in Pasadena, Yorba Linda Children's Museum, the Discovery Cube, etc) that blow Second Story out of the water and are more appropriately priced.

I recommend going exactly when it opens or else you will not be able to find any seating. Kids did have fun. The place is a decent size with plenty of room. The issues with this place: Gets dirty pretty fast but understandable with the amount of kids. Bathrooms start off clean and end up a mess. Again, understandable. People that go here with their kids are a bit.... sketchy... to put it nicely. Some arguments but nothing major. Kids do get bully here by other kids, so I strongly urge you to keep an eye on them at all times. This will usually lead to fights among parents so luckily this did not happen on this day, but it does happen.

Coming into the parking lot, I'd say be careful driving past the gate; the gate isn't secured properly to the cement on the floor, so it pops up, making it hazardous for your tires. The workers here are very chill, just like any other gym, though climbers are very chill in general. They're very helpful and friendly if you ever need them. They keep the gym very clean and the bathrooms well stocked. They are also always quick to notice you and provide support if needed. The routes here are a range of difficulties. The basic routes here feel slightly more difficult than other gyms, helping you build your core. They reset the walls on a weekly basis, which encourages you to come back. On the weekdays, it's ridiculously packed where people don't wait their turn in the walls. Lots of newcomers and people who come after work.
