It was a way to force you out of the house when your in your newborn trenches and force you to figure out all the things like how your stroller works, leaving the house, breastfeeding outside your normal all while creating lasting friendships with other moms in the same trenches your going through. Happy to say I completed my eight week course at New Mom school!! I wish I would've had this community with my first son. When I first started the class, I was very nervous. There was 14 of us girls some second time Moms-and most first time moms and we all fell included no matter if you've done this before or not you were treated equally! The girls in my class got together every Tuesday before class and we really build a friendship to the point where we have done outside experiences out of our schedule class days! After I had my baby I noticed I had people in my circle that weren't going through the same things as me. Although they had kids, we weren't going through the same thing at the same time. I was skeptical because as an introvert I was scared to go out with my newborn (he was 3 months at the time) But I'm glad I crossed paths with New mom school again. I signed up and went from Newborn class all the way to their last class of Rising toddler. Through the classes I met many wonderful mamas that were all going through the same things, we could relate in the milestones our babies were having. New mom school had many professionals come in and educate us on things like pelvic exercises, on how to have a safe car seat installed, and even things like how to establish a sleeping schedule for baby. Even though for some this information may sound like it was a no brainer. When you're sleep deprived and learning as you go, as a first time mom I appreciated every advice. My family loves New Mom School! The front and back offices are always super clean & tidy (immediate green flags). I participated in an 8-week 'Rising Toddler' class with my 11 month old son.
