Well... in MY PERSONAL OPINION, that type of comment is not only unprofessional but also shines a very dim light on Healing Hands as a business. Given that this company is listed under NATURAL/HOLISTIC, I would think that the employees working there would be more knowledgeable about the field they are practicing in. Acupuncture isn't something to "believe in" nor should it be compared to witchcraft. It is a science based approach that treat nerve points within the body, alleviating tension and inflammation by activating the nerve point to release. Being a holistic wellness counselor myself ... I WILL NEVER refer a single client of mine to this place of business when this is the mindset of the people working here. This is a complete contradiction of the "healing hands" approach. I called and was able to get an appt the same day. The massage therapist was very professional, knowledgeable, and detailed. I had an hour and a half full body massage. The room was clean, smelled good, and was relaxing. The therapist showed me several areas of my body that were sore, tender, tight, and stressed (most of which I was unaware of). I was riddled with knots but she provided myofascial release techniques to rid the trouble areas. I was also shown some additional stretching routines to help aid me at home as well. Overall, the massage and the experience was definitely beneficial, educating, and relaxing. I'm used to getting massages and you can always tell the therapists that are passionate about their skill versus the ones that treat it like "just doing another job". If you need an honest and thorough massage I'd highly suggest Higher Vibrations and Bodywork. This is a small business owner proving that quality and work ethic still prove best. I waited, A HALF HOUR before receiving a call from the massage therapist, stating she no longer even worked there and doesn't know why they would've booked her.
