Its very easy to find and has a free car park that always has spaces. Its not in the town centre so great for popping in if you need something or have forgotten something, which is what I normally do. The shop has lots of stock covering all types of outdoor activites with pretty good prices. I bought a new tent from here a few years back and found them very helpful and listened to what I was looking for and helped me choose the correct one.

I have a watch that I bought in America, and every other local jewellers could not remove the back of the watch in order to replace the battery - he did it in seconds, with no marks on the watch at all! His prices are reasonable too. I've not used the jewellery repair or manufacturing side of the business, but he knows his stuff (unlike a lot of the chain jewellers).

Are they more expensive than an independent? Probably. But for peace of mind, I will never go anywhere else. And since what the independent did could have resulted in injury or worse, peace of mind is a lot more important than money! Having said that, the people at Trowbridge Platinum Renault are helpful and polite, and if there's any other bits that need doing while they're servicing the car, they will ask first, rather than tell you about it afterwards. When we lived in London we went to the best independent Fiat garage in the whole world (Franco Motors in Houslow). But since moving to the west, and buying a Renault, I have discovered that not every independent is as honest and thorough as Franco's! You pays your money and you takes your choice - and I choose safety!

If you want something they normally have it! I remember being a young child visiting this store and now Im older its exactly how I remember it and does have a charmingly interesting 80's feel about it. The staff are friendly and are always able to offer advice on a wide variety of subjects. Unfortunately I have been told the music counter has been removed. Larger goods can either be delivered or you can drive round the back to pick them up by car.

They cancelled my order because they said the billing address did not match the card address even though it did. Their website is set up so that I was able to pay with a foreign card with options to select from many countries despite them not accepting foreign cards/ addresses. I lost about £150 on the refund as the exchange rate had changed and they could not have cared less.

And I only went in to get a body spray, which I forgot about!! It's the sort of place where you always find something you want, even if you didn't know you wanted it before you went in. Over a year ago I bought one of Wilkinson's canvas shoppers, the sort that fold up and slip in your handbag. It was only 45p, a vast saving on many supermarket's similar ones, and it's still sturdy and good as new despite being used nearly every day!

Still, everything is great for the price and it normally has everything I need and more This store contains a large amount of goods including home furnishings, toiletries, gardening goods, stationary and sweets/chocolates. There is often an area near the front of the store (castle place end) which have reduced items with somtimes 75% off which means its sometimes possible to get great bargains at great prices. Parking is close by so its easy to get what you have bought to the car.
