I was in the area, so I went here yesterday to get my eyebrows cleaned up - even though the price they quoted me was at least $3 more than I normally pay elsewhere (20% more). It needed done, so I agreed. After the fastest time ever in a threading chair, the stylist told me she was done and she said that I had an ingrown hair and so there was "a little blood". She offered to put aloe on it and it wasn't super visible to me at the time, so I paid and tipped her and left. Today I woke up with this injury that had to be from her work! I had some free Groupon credit for some settlement or another. I used it on a facial at New Look Medi Spa Dulles Landing. It took a few tries to get an appointment, and I wasn't really sure someone was actually going to be there when I showed up. I arrived a few moments early, and was taken back with minimal waiting after filling out short paperwork. The rooms are clean as are the restrooms. My technician was pleasant. The oddity was the actual facial. I've had quite a few in my 30 years, and this wasn't really a facial. She washed my face, applied toner, moisturizer, and I was out folks! No extractions, no hot towels, no explanation of what the hell she was using. I remember asking her well what brand is it, I have sensitive skin. It was dermalogica, so at least there's that. When I went to give her a tip, she had already disappeared! I left some cash on the desk, and left. It was a bizarre experience overall just to get my face washed! read more

Tried calling multiple times during business hours, left a voicemail with my name and phone number, made an appointment request on their website (which states they will reply within 24 hours). It has now been three days and I still have not been able to reach them and have not received a call back. AVOID THIS PLACE! I purchased 3 IPL sessions on Groupon recently. I called the number on the Groupon ( 703-435-2448) and NEVER got a live person. After I left two VM then they returned my call three days later. When I came to the Medi Spa at Herndon the woman at the front desk was incredibly RUDE. Apparently she is only one who does IPLs at South Riding and Herndon locations. She asked me if I have a card to prove that I have not used my Groupon before and I politely replied that I don't . She got really mad and threw a piece of paper at me. She accused me in lying!!!!! I was shocked! I came to the spa to relax and got this!!???? When I asked her to give me her contact information she threatened me. Finally, I got the owner of this place phone number and he told me that he never had any issues with the customer service which is a big LIE. Now that I'm reading all reviews here, I wish I read them before I bought a voucher. Please avoid this place. I will never return and will warn everyone I know. I got a groupon with this company a little while ago and I definitely expected more than what I received. Firstly, I have two more sessions with them so I don't know why its showing "redeemed" secondly, they never answer the phone so booking an appointment is almost impossible. Thirdly, the service itself is a hoax because I had done research prior to obtaining the service and one only should need 1-3 treatments for ultimate results and immediately they tried to sell me on multiple. Not only did no one answer on a Saturday or weekday during the day, but I did not have the call or email returned. Used a groupon for a microdermabrasion and facial. I arrived and they were still closed. I was the first client of the day, but they were about 5 minutes late. The technician was kind and didn't try and sell me product afterwards which I appreciated. The whole thing only lasted about a half hour. She basically used the machine, quick mask and then lotion. I'm used to facials where they clean your whole face , open your pores and all that wonderful stuff. I gave them three stars because the service was very basic. No extra pampering which other spas do. The table was plain, no knee rest or pillow for your head. In some other spas while they let the mask set they will lotion and massage your hands and arms. Simple, doesn't take any more of their time since they are just waiting around for you anyway. I would go back for a good Groupon price but not at full price. This is the worst experience I've had with a local vendor. I got a Groupon for facial treatments and it's been impossible to make an appointment. The vendor has several locations in NoVa. The Groupon has a number to call where nobody picks up the phone (Springfield), after trying for 4 days, I called Herndon and Chantilly salons, in both places, as soon as they hear the word Groupon, either they don't have availability or ask you to leave a message so "they call you back when available". It's the most outrageous way of stealing your money and wasting your time. This is not a serious nor reliable business, please stay away!!! read more

I got a groupon for 3 IPL laser sessions. I went for the first one no results at all! Know that I have had MANY done at many different spas before. I called Groupon and told them of the issue, they said I could not have my money back bc I had already used one of the sessions. So I went back and told her I was very unhappy she said she would do hair removal instead. I have also have this done MANY TIMES. I had my bikini done. She did the treatment and it did not wk AT ALL!! I couldn't believe it!! I had to come back for the third and final session to discuss what to do now. She gave me the complete run around about how she was doing her best and how my body was somehow just rejecting. This is complete BS. I have dark hair andfair skin, always respond to laser. They have moved locations and I've followed them because the technician I see does the best eyebrow threading I've ever experienced. I've tried other eyebrow threading places including in the malls and they are not as thorough. Recently, I tried their organic airbrush tan and absolutely love it. The same technician was very open to my request for coverage and thorough. I purchased 3 IPL sessions on Groupon for $179.00 recently. I have rosacea and have had several IPL sessions in other locations before. Normally I pay 150.00 per session at other places. They are strong and efficient. I can feel right away my skin tighter and the redness diminishing. The machine here is SO WEAK. Did nothing for my skin. Zero. I was so upset. The woman was incredibly RUDE and didn't listen to my needs. She was impatient. When I asked her to please do a few more shots on my nose area, she got mad and said "Would you like if I go to where you work and do the same to you?". I thought to myself "you mean, like listening to the clients needs and try to delivery a good service? HELL YEAH I do it every day". The entire session didn't last longer than 10 minutes including the application and removal of the gel from my face. She also grabbed the phone from my hands and touched my screen without permission where it says "redeem voucher", BEFORE the session had started. I asked her what she did, and she goes "you have to redeem it". I only came here for the 1st session and will never return. Called Groupon customer service and can't cancel the purchase but they gave me the money back as credit to use on the website. Just the idea of returning here gives me chills. read more
