When I called to book my appointment, Cheryl provided instructions on what to expect and things to do/ not do prior to the session. When I arrived, we briefly went over my wellness intake form in which she certain lifestyle questions and about current challenges. She was patient with me and helped me feel comfortable. Since I didn't really know how reiki works, she explained that energy moves through the chakras and she explained the function of each chakra. I found it very interesting. I personally really liked that Cheryl incorporated spirituality but she made it clear that this was, of course, optional and only to the extent I felt comfortable. The session was an hour long. She started to with some guided imagery for grounding then called on her spirit guides and angels to assist. I'm not normally super "woo woo" but I went in really open minded and I think that allowed me to get the full benefit. I could actually feel in my body as she was working the energy responding and moving around. She explained that you sometimes have temperature changes in response. The whole time this happened I felt relaxed and I was just trusting in the process. Once we were done, she had me do some quick grounding again. Cheryls also a life coach, so at the end of the session, she provided some tips on how I can get my chakras more in balance. This was really valuable for me and helped tie everything together. At the end, I felt noticeably lighter and more open. It was really profound and I couldn't believe the progress after just one session.

I have been battling issues of social phobia and anger for more than a decade and it's…read moreprogressively getting worse. I tried multiple self help approaches including working out hard to over indulgences. I have also seen experienced psychologists and psychiatrist over years (was on meds for several months to get through the really rough times), they helped to numb the pain but never really resolve the issues. Symptoms of rage and frustration relapse from time to time really take a toll on me and I have had enough. I really need help and need it fast before the baggage got too heavy to carry on. Found the positive reviews in Yelp, decided to give it a shot. I had been hypnotized before so I know what to expect. First session we went through some of the issues I want to be addressed. During the session, I was fully conscious. We had several suggestions prepared on the spot. I didn't think it would work. I was really exhausted and numbed for the rest of the day. I thought it may have something to do with not sleeping well the night before. The following morning I felt completely refreshed and total awareness. I was able to isolate all emotions and to listen, to hear, and to feel every little simple experiences encountered. We were making great progress with second and third sessions. I had a major relapse and returned for the fourth sessions. She tried some other way which it didn't seem to work at the time. I guess different people reacts to hypnosis differently, my reaction to the treatment seems to delay and kick in after one or more days later. Two days after the 4th session, I was driving an hour to the beach on an early Sunday am listening to a program for an hour about compassion and suffering. After we got to the beach, I was able to slip into an immersive meditative zen state. My girlfriend thought I took something and she was seriously concerned. During that time, I was totally calm, conscious, and focused. I have never experienced such calmness and clarity in my entire adulthood. I was able to drift in and out of the state. The experience lasted for about 8 hours. I was completely relaxed and relieved, and was extremely hungry after the experience. I don't think my issues have been completly resolved, but I am off to a good start. Traci gave me the tools to "reprogram" my mindset, I am forever grateful for all she has done for me, and looking forward to future sessions.

My hypnotherapy session was very pleasant - Kent is a great guy - and the hypnosis part was unbelievably relaxing, much more so than massage or spa days I've had. I didn't know what to expect from hypnosis, just the stuff you hear abt "hypnotists" but this was just really amazing and it's already been very helpful.
