From the outside, it just looks like an older brick storefront on their main street, but once inside, it has such a cute eclectic coffee shop vibe that is putting out really good food in addition to coffee. There were a number of different nooks to enjoy coffee and conversation in private, a fairly large dining area, and a separate room that I imagine could be used for a large group or just spill over for the lunch service. I opted for their Panini that had ham, brie, and apple with a cup of tomato bisque. My colleague got the curried chicken salad on croissant (both our sandwiches were the half size!) with a cup of potato and carrot soup. A couple of the people we were with got their flatbread pizzas, which also sounded and looked delicious. If you find yourself in town and are looking for a pick me up or a delicious lunch, definitely check it out!

Brew is both a coffee shop and liquor store. If I am ever in town I will definitely stop by again for a coffee!

Thus far I've had San Francisco sourdough, buckwheat cranberry bread, cappuccino, café au lait and the house coffee. Both breads have had wonderfully crusty exteriors with just the right amount of chewiness and moistness on the interior. The sour dough was as good as any I have ever had - and I worked in San Francisco for a while. The coffee drinks have been perfect. The display case is full of gorgeous desserts, croissants, french macaroons, and more. The bread display behind had numerous types of breads. Not every kind of bread is made each day. I think that the sour dough and baguettes are made fresh every day. This place is an immediate favorite of mine. I can't believe there are not long lines - but maybe that will yet come. Please visit while it is still relatively unknown. This place should be a massive success! I want it to thrive and grow! The only downside thus far is that I do not yet have a line item in my budget for how much I would like to buy here.

I went with an iced Rambler (brown sugar cinnamon, honey, and mocha). It has a nice pronounced cinnamon flavor right away and ends with the sweetness from the brown sugar and honey. Again at every step, the person taking my order tried to get me to pay for a 20oz without telling me, offered me cold foam without telling me about the pricy upcharge. I was so convinced that i heard her wrong because that price for one drink is ridiculous that I paid it. Also I heard that the owner takes all the tips meant for the workers.

Gayle…read moreand I had pretty much depleted the Starbucks at the Lake Cabin and I wasn't willing to chance my caffeine craving at any of the local grocery stores. The small-batch Lantern Coffee was very nice. It was dark and rich and with a smooth aftertaste. Maybe next time I'll drive over to Sibley (home of the Generals) and try out their restaurant and coffee bar as well. And judging by the Facebook pictures, it looks live a very handsome and inviting place. They did a good job refurbishing this older building and it looks like a place that I would hang out frequently if I lived here.
