Had a Tesla power wall installed three months ago. Still hasn't been passed or had permits…read moreapproved. I've had four all-day outages since then because PGE gonna be PGE. Because of this failed install, I can no longer backfeed my house with a generator. Today was the fourth attempt scheduled to approve this install and guess what? "Sorry we messed up the schedule" No one ever reaches out. I have to do all the phone calls to get anyone to respond

As a PG&E customer, I took advantage of their low income discount program and was qualified to…read moreapply! As part of this service, I had to sign up for their Energy Efficient Program. This turned out to be a generous and impressive addition to be a part of! It started with an energy specialist - Brian Cofer, from "Staples Energy" doing a walk-through my home to assess and locate inefficiencies and recommend improvements. Notes are taken to help make my home safer, more energy efficient and comfortable. After the initial assessment is done, installation crews are scheduled later to install FREE customized home improvements, repairs or replacements. Services that were done for me were: weatherproofing my doors and straightening hinges, insulation inserts to certain light switch & outlet covers, replacing faucet aerators, new shower heads were offered if I wanted, but I liked the ones I already have. Caulking to cracks at the walls around sink plumbing, entering the attic to check insulation and duct work, checking and adjusting my water heater and HVAC system to improve efficiency, and replaced my old thermostat with a more advanced Nest thermostat! They even located a small gas leak from my heater! Apparently, they will even replace furnaces, water heaters and refrigerators when approved by PG&E! I was also supposed to get a new window in my kitchen since it has a large crack through it! This was to be performed by "The Glass Guru of Sacramento" which unfortunately didn't happen. This was the only negative issue that I experienced. He came to my house ready to do it, then, after looking closer at the window, said he was unable to do the installation after all! My review of "The Glass Guru" was written in detail, but I had to delete it because of the owner messaging me stating that I was being unfair, and that because it would have been a free service, so I had no reason to complain. Later, I was given the go ahead by Yelp to repost the review since it was within my rights to express myself. It can be read here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-glass-guru-of-sacramento-sacramento?hrid=lpCwmrFrlECKt1XXmbhzHA&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Anyway, I can't say enough about the Staples Energy program! I'm just so grateful and appreciative that they have something like this for people who are low income and need the extra help! I'm a big fan of energy efficiency!
