I had found a discount on http://wlwt.half-offcincy.com for a $30 Pioneer Discovery Intro Flight…read more(normally $100). I figured this would be a good baby-step towards skydiving, and you can't beat THAT deal. After parking in the lot across the streeet, we pushed the intercom button and were buzzed in (always a VIP feeling!). We were greeted by the instuctor, Mark, who did a quick tutorial of the ins-n-outs of the plane. I got in the pilot seat, Mark rode shotgun, and my fiance got in the back (no additional charge for him to ride). I got to steer the plane a little during pre-takeoff taxiing, and do some turns and ascents/descents in the air. Totally different experience than a commercial airplane! It was a gorgeous day and the views were awesome. It was a *little* shakier than a Delta flight, but in a "wheeee!!" kinda way :) I am now the proud owner of my very own flight log, with one flight under my belt. Another bonus... about a week after, I got a Thank You card in the mail. The front was a picture of my fiance & me standing by the Cessna we rode in. They're supposed to be offering another online deal some time, so keep an eye out!

This place is an absolute disaster. Right on par with Flamingo down the street. Very poor…read moreorganizational skills with very little consistency between instructors and management. Their students average more than 100 hours and at least a year to get a PPL. A real flight school is just 10 miles east at Clermont County Airport. Do not waste your resources with this sad excuse for a flight school.

As soon as we arrive we noticed they were giving planes rides in a very old Biplane. Decided to sign up and with the help of the local volunteers we talked my mom into going too. The Owner / Pilot (Dewey) was great. Joking before and after but provided a beautiful, fun, and smooth 20 min flight. It was amazing to see the area from an open passenger seat. Wind blowing and able the see above beside and all around the entire time. Also when turning you can see the ground. Taking off was smooth and exciting. My mother is afraid of heights and we talked her into it. Really incredible. For me an experience of a lifetime. You have to try it. For a company may be a great activity to have for a retreat too. Thanks Dewey- the teacher and son had a great day thanks

It definitely broke up the usual Columbus activities. We did paella night and it was a blast. They are BYOB so you can bring drinks/wine and they have all the glassware and openers needed! The staff were so kind and knowledgeable and easy to work with. The food was delicious. We had an array of tapas, salad, main course, and dessert! We were there for about 3 hours. The building itself and their garden is stunning. Go!!

Baking macarons is a tricky thing and Damaris did such a good job breaking down all the steps. She gave us lots of tips and tricks for our home baking, and you can see her passion for what she does. That said, I have been to several of the cooking schools in Columbus and this was my least favorite overall attendee experience. It was more expensive, yet very "basic" for lack of a better word. All of the cooking classes I have attended come with some kind of amenities - a welcome cocktail, wine bar, cheese and crackers, hot coffee/tea, etc. Something. This class was three hours long and there was nothing offered but water and iced tea (on a 20 degree day). We also did not receive any kind of information prior to the class, so parking was like solving a mystery (hint: the parking lot is behind the house down a side alleyway)
