Let me just tell you it was an awful experience. I am only giving one star because there is not an option to give ZERO stars.
First thing, I tried locking my bike to the iron decor right outside the window when the nail technician came outside and alerted me to tie my bike up to a pile of about 7-8 bikes that were basically knocked over in the street. So I did. Half way through the manicure these people came by and were standing outside the window looking confused at the pile of bikes- so I had to go unclip my bike with wet fingers.
She began to file my nails and clip just like a regular manicure starts. Well, my nails are filed completely crooked and all of them are uneven. Also, they are still jagged and pulling on my clothing. So annoying.
As the "tech" continued with my manicure, I asked where the gel nail polish was because she didn't give me an option to start looking at colors. By the end of the shaping, filing and cuticle clipping I was wondering when I was going to be able to pick my shellac color. She pulls out a small cardboard box of about 6 colors to choose from. Two dark blues (which I am not into), one bright neon purple, one undesirable brown gold color, a pink with glitter in it and a dark red with glitter in it. I was truly unimpressed with the color selection so I asked how much regular nail polish would be with the manicure and she told me 35€- again. I have never been charged more than roughly €15 for a regular old nail polish manicure. I felt like I was being robbed because I am from another country and she picked up on it.
I ended up picking the dark red gel polish with glitter - just to not avoid confrontation. I should have known better. She basically globbed the polish on sloppily and sprayed my nails with alcohol and said- you're done. My nails were STICKY when I left the salon. One of the main reasons I get shellac is because it dries instantly and you don't have to wait around the salon for your nails to dry for 15 minutes. The polish was not evenly dispersed on the nail- see photos. The end of some of the nails were left without color? What the heck?
Seriously, don't waste your money or time at new fashion. Go to "century nails" about a mile away. They treated me like a rockstar even without an appointment and my nails looked dope when I left their salon! read more
