The hairdresser (Ed) chopped her hair up to below her shoulders after agreeing with her that he wouldn't. He even went on to express how, "If a client doesn't like the haircuts he gives them, it's just not for them.." etc. As a professional hairdresser, you should always please and leave your customers satisfied. It isn't your hair to pick and choose what you want to give to your clients.

This place is very gezellig -- part record store, part hair salon. The staff here are fully English-speaking and if you're lucky, both of you will be singing along to the wicked tunes playing in the background. They're also young but that's not to say they're not experienced. They're actually very professional and will do what you ask if you're very particular about your hair. If you are feeling lucky and ask for their opinion, they will style your hair in a way that suits your face and head. I'd say their styles are also a bit edgy and hip (you're in a record store/hair salon after all!). Overall I've been satisfied with my cut every time I've been here. They're even open late on some days!

I've never had a better haircut in my life. That's saying something especially saying I lived across from Sissy for a good 4 months before I even thoughts of walking in here and giving her the green light to chop it off. I'm so glad I did! Not only has Sis' (As her good friends and regular clients call her) had more than 35 years of experience, in that period she has trained with the best of the best as well as had the opportunity to do women's, children's and mens hair (she was also a male barber for quite some time). Coffee? Coming right up! Cola? You betcha! Wine? If it's a sunny day in Zandvoort and the shorts and flip flops are out? Why not? You're not only her client but she makes you feel at home. The salon is usually always a buzz during the high season, but if she's there, and there's no one in the chair....Walk on in! She'll take care of you, and if she doesn't have the time a the moment, she'll let you know when she does....sometimes it's not too long after. This is a woman who takes her business seriously, but she will NEVER make you feel like another 'head of hair' in the process like at those 'other salons'. She speaks English and Dutch, coming from Florida in the US, but from a Dutch background. Stop by, say hi, and leave with the perfection you could only imagine :) PS: One of the rinsing stations has a massage chair ;)

They tried to accommodate my walk in request but we decided on an early appt today. I liked the set up of the place. Very open and spacious. The wax room was clean and bright. The process was painless which was a surprise as I have used the same waxer for the past 3+ years. Overall they did a great job! I definitely recommend this place. I will be back here for my wax service when in Amsterdam

They took my late appointment, which was very nice and accommodating (6:30 pm). When I showed up I had to ring the bell because the door was locked. I was not taken back for an additional 15-20 minutes (she was running late from prior appointment). Thank goodness I only booked a half leg wax. Was a bit grossed out that she used a metal spreader (looks like a cake spreader) for my legs and kept reusing in the wax. Unsure why as there were wood sticks next to the wax. Gross but I'm hoping it was my fresh wax and not used again. Certainly wouldn't have tolerated that for a bikini or other wax. The ladies were nice. The hygiene is just not up to my standards.
