I also wanted them to attach faux beams from the soffit to the wall across the space to create a modern take on Viga beams. They did a stunning job. The quality of their craftsmanship is clear. I got several competitive bids but they were the only crew that walked through my house and pointed out things that I was not aware of and they even suggested ways to save me money which any homeowner can appreciate! They were extremely timely in their responses and highly communicative and patient when I had questions, when I needed them to coordinate purchasing and picking up product, and even when I changed the scope of the project. And now, I have gorgeous, tightly assembled floors, new baseboard trim, and a home that I couldn't be more excited to move in to. They don't have the fancy schmancy brick and mortar store, or a dedicated office admin, or a glitzy website - things that usually sway me, but rest assured they are the real deal. One thing: With Always Construction, when bids are submitted, it's best to make sure that all the elements you are expecting from the project are stated there in writing. On his roof bid, he merely said he would seal the skylights, and since they are a part of the roof,I assumed everything having to do with the skylights would be included--not the case. One skylight had to be replaced. This was a misunderstanding, and we worked it out. Obtaining quality work in Santa Fe is not easy, and Always Construction provided it.

Took two Hunter Douglas blinds that wouldn't raise anymore…read more. They were still under warranty.. I was told that Hunter Douglas charges $75 dollars shipping each way to have the blinds repaired but they have someone local who could fix them. When I went to pick them up they charged me $150 for repairs that I assumed would be covered by warranty. Called Hunter Douglas warranty department and was told they have no fixed rate for shipping. Sooo not happy with that.

The walls were not level, nor at 90 degrees, so he had to remodel the walls and spent extra time making sure the shower would hold up and be secure. He also had to replace some floor tile and manage remodel construction. The whole bathroom project took longer, but he was very good at letting us know the problems and giving suggestions for solutions. Highly recommended!!
