For some people a nice way to kill a weekend (or weekday, depending on employment status) afternoon…read moreis to watch tv, take a nap, go shopping, etc. If you are streched and looking for an alternative, may I suggest the dog track. The drinks are frighteningly cheap, as is the food, and the minium bet is $2, so if your budget is small have no fear. I understand if you have never been to a dog track before it may seem scary or intimidating - and in realtity it is both. However, once you get your bearings it can be an afternoon of wonder and excitment watching dogs run as fast as they can in a circle, it is the simple pleasures that make life worth living. As far as people watching is concerned, once you've been here you'll let everyone else have their outdoor cafes on Newbury Street. So get a small group together, shoot a few nips before heading in to take the edge off, be there around 10:00 am, and put $10 on Crazy Legs Harry in the 6th for me.

This is a review for the concert experience…read more The place is rundown. The paid parking needs to be bought in advance ($37) for an unpaved, unlined lot. One way in. Security was as expected. Checked all bags. Once on the grounds, there is absolutely no shade. 3 food truck options and the sausage guy. For shorter lines walk all of the way across the fairgrounds. Beer sales stopped at 9:30 PM Such potential wasted, as great bands show up. The venue needs to do better and put in a tiny bit of effort.

I did not expected this…read more My friends and I were there for other reason(Phantom Gourmet Food& Beer Phest). After we stuffed ourselves with humongous quality of food(1lbs burger, 1lbs hot dog, 12 bones of rib). Because of that, we finished our objective in a matter of 30min. Now what? Then we decided to step outside and check out horse racing outside. We didn't know crap about horse racing. Out of boredom, we just randomly picked the horse and predicted which horse to win. Then after one of my friends predicted winning horse consecutively, we could resist the urge of betting. So we did. Some loss, some win. Regardless it was fun. Funner than I expected. Because I hate gambling(casinos to be exact). The pamphlet was very descriptive. For each race, it has reviews of horses and tells you which horse is likely to win. So if you want to go for probable victory, you can follow those reviews. Otherwise, just pick the name you like. You can enjoy only from reading horse's name. They all got very funny names - Miss Glitter Girl, I Testify, She's on fire, etc. Now there are only a few weeks left for racing. I probably go back in a few weeks to enjoy this.

Booking is…read moreeasy, communication regarding scheduling changes speedy and helpful, kind, professional, knowledgeable, considerate of individual learning styles and needs. Instructors are exceptional. Nikki (5 hours) brings a wealth of English riding discipline and applies it to our lessons. Julia (1 hour) felt like a continuation of the work I was doing with Nikki, yet obviously with her own style. Each lesson is focused on growing the basics. Both instructors are very mindful of your body language, not just the mechanics and answer questions providing insight into horse behaviour based on your interactions. They keep the horse consistent . For all this I will continue to drive 2 hours round trip for two lessons (30 min ea) once a week! (perspective of this review: mature adult novice/beginner English rider, picking back up from childhood recreational riding. Recently started taking lessons and wanted to find a place to add another lesson each week.)

Very disappointing that they wouldn't reschedule us and only offered a 50% discount, citing their cancellation policy and having to adjust their staffing. To be clear, we did not ask to cancel; we asked to reschedule our trail ride due to a medical emergency. Their policy COULD allow for exceptions in circumstances like this, but they chose not to make one. Given the advance notice we provided, the ranch had the opportunity to adjust staffing accordingly. The Ranch also suggested that I could have purchased the optional ticket insurance at booking for added flexibility. But I did not plan to break my finger or require the flexibility to reschedule. Unexpected events happen, but unfortunately your response suggests that protecting revenue takes precedence over accommodating customers facing genuine emergencies. Their "well wishes" feels disingenuous when it is paired with a refusal to either (1) honor the ride at a later date without penalty or (2) provide a full refund. Extremely disappointing.
