Today was a wonderful adventure for my family with our toddler daughter. There are even 2 other playgrounds that I didn't get pictures of. One is called the beach and is playground toys with sand instead of grass. The other is for school aged kids but had toddler swings too so my daughter loved that. There is feed you can buy to give the animals at the zoo but the staff take in the despensers when the animals have had enough each day. COVID-19 precautions masks and one way paths but it's large enough grounds to social distance too. If you're just doing zoo and playgrounds stroller is fine but hiking leave it in the car. Enjoy!

One of the things I really love about this park is how quiet and peaceful it is. Even being here on a weekend, there isn't a crazy amount of people, which makes it a really nice place to enjoy some time outdoors with a young child. The small zoo area is definitely minimal, but honestly, the fact that the entire park is free makes that a huge plus. It's a great little outing for kids without having to spend any money, and my daughter really enjoyed seeing the animals. There is a small container where you can purchase food for the animals using quarters, which I thought was a cute addition. However, there are also several signs throughout the park that say not to feed the animals, so I found that a little confusing. I'm assuming the food from the designated dispenser is okay, but clearer signage explaining when and how visitors can feed the animals would definitely help. The animals appear to be well cared for, and the trails and park itself were clean and free of trash. It also seems like the staff are doing a great job maintaining the property and caring for the animals. Overall, I would definitely recommend World War II Memorial Park for a cute, simple outing with young kids. If you're looking for something free to do on the weekend where the kids can get outside, walk around, and see some animals, this is definitely worth checking out.

It…read moreis an AZA Accredited facility, and from speaking with some of the keepers, exhibit designs, and more people from this facility, I am certain that the welfare they provide for these animals is as good as it can be. The zoo is constantly working on small improvements to improve the welfare of the species in the zoo, as well as the guest experience. For those of you with a Buttonwood Park Zoo membership, you're able to utilize your reciprocal benefits to get free admission here, which I think is a huge plus. I think unfortunately as of late, Capron Park Zoo has been hit with a few unfortunate tragedies. With the recent passing of Nyala, the African Lion female that lived alongside Ramses, with the transfer for Vicky the Sloth Bear to Washington DC's National Zoo, it's a bittersweet feeling to know that she's going to a facility with a bigger habitat, but the zoo loses another species. However, the zoo is still good in my opinion. I don't foresee spending much time here, especially in the winter months, but it's still worth a visit, especially in the warmer months due to more species on display, as well as the waterpark for the children. If you're hoping to avoid larger crowds though, winter is a very good time to visit regardless. The Amur Leopard, Lacey, is very active during this time, since the species is from Russia-Northern China area, she's very comfortable and active in the colder months, which is very cool to see. Same goes for the Red Pandas, which have a great indoor space as well for the warmer months for them to cool down. To me though I think Capron's indoor habitats work very well for them. Especially their tropical house, it's not the biggest around, but it's very beautiful. Tons of tropical birds, a Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, and Red-Footed Tortoises. Again, the zoo is not the biggest, but I think that's not necessarily a bad thing. If you're hoping to have a quicker outing with your family, I think Capron suits the bill. Always worth a visit every year from me though. Exciting to see what they're planning for the future!

The lion was not available, on hospice care. I think more animals should be on hospice care as well; so old energy-depleted and looking miserable. The python snake looked like she committed suicide; literally coiling hard on itself cyanotic and completely motionless. All the animals looked severely depressed. I did not make any eye contact with any animal. They were all looking away. The servals were hitting the walls. Only ones were sort of ok the Meerkats, they were seemingly mating. I promised myself long time ago not to go zoos. I do not like them. Never again.

The vendors have been primarily the SAME for the last 10 years. Although last year they had an amazing sterling silver booth with custom engraving & I ordered my sons name on a pendant with his footprints and his birthday. I think I paid $60 total! It came out beautiful & held up great as well. There is also a lot of yard sales along the way and people selling their homemade goods as well. They also have a lot of junk tbh- so beware. Theirs usually an abundance of jewelry & clothes and a lot of ART. Knickknacks, woodworking, homemade soaps. They always have some pretty cool kids toys that are homemade and theirs a vendor who comes from NH & has speciality toys customized made out of wood. Lots of houseware. The food is decent but if you're looking for GREAT food I'd make my way up to Federal Hill for their Columbus Day Festival! They have candy apples that are amazing! They also have gourmet apples as well and Great kettle corn popcorn. There's definitely a lot of good things here! I would say it's worth going to if you've never been but I used to go every year and I don't really do that anymore because it's pretty redundant- especially the merchandise!

The Mega gets you the corn maze and hayride for an extra $10, which is nice, but if I were to go again, I'd probably stick with general admission. It really depends on whether those extra activities are important to you. The hayride itself was pretty basic, so it wasn't necessarily a highlight for us. One thing I was disappointed with was the animal feeding. We paid extra for animal food, but the animals didn't seem interested at all. I'm assuming they were already full from being fed by visitors throughout the day. I wonder if rotating the animals or offering feeding times would help so the same animals aren't constantly being fed by everyone. Overall, despite a couple of things I'd change, I really do think this farm is worth visiting, especially with younger children. We only stayed for a couple of hours, but there was easily enough to do to make a full day out of it. It's a great way to spend some time with the kids and enjoy the fall season!

Originally when I looked up prices, I was like this is a little pricey, but I still wanted to give the place a try and I'm so glad I did because the price does indeed match with how much they offer here. It was family fun day for me, my partner, my nephew and my sister. And we all equally had a good time there are things to do for all ages. The employees are sweet, even the people that are working the parking. Once you cross the little street (crossing guard there for you). There is a little shop inside that you can buy your apple cider. You can buy decorated pumpkins. They have quite a few things in here. I do recommend grabbing an apple cider. It's so yummy originally I started off with the personal one and then I ended up taking home a jug as well. If you need bracelets, which, if you look up online that can be for all the activities or most of the activities with exclusions of some. Either way I feel like the prices are great, and you can see what you and your family will and will not do especially in regards to the ages of maybe the children that you're bringing. Once we bought the tickets, we bought some food to feed the animals. That was $5.00 a cup. The only issue that I had with this is there are several animals here but the cup that I paid five dollars for it seems as though only the cows would eat that specific food. All the other animals wanted the corn which you needed quarters to buy the corn which came out of a machine and I did indeed bring quarters luckily. That's my only issue there pretty much me and everybody else there noticed that the animals were indeed fed very well so a lot of times they didn't want to eat from you, but they did prefer the corn over the food that we bought in the cups. Now to animals, they have cows, llamas chickens, and the list goes on. I did love the mix and the variety of animals and so did my nephew. He especially loved feeding the cows because they have tubes where you put the food in that leads into the cow bowls that they eat out of he was fascinated by it. Now to activities, this is a real farm with so much land and there's so many things to do everywhere you go, especially for kids. They had swings hanging from trees, but they looked more like hammocks, which was pretty cool. They had a sandbox station where the kids can dig and build. They had huge haystacks that you could climb and take pictures on some of them were small, some of them were huge. They have a huge inflatable pumpkin that's like a bouncy for the kids, but that's age permitting for that one. They also have the tractor-trailer which we all did enjoy and that will bring you to the corn maze and the race track. The racetrack has several different bikes on it for all ages, including the Littles. And they do have two corn mazes. We only did one and we did enjoy it, even my nephew (he's 3). I feel like every employee that I ran into here also was very kind, sincere and genuine answered any questions that I had and directed you very easily to where you needed to go. I just wanted to make this very clear because I noticed this often. They also do have food and a beer garden, but we opted out of those things. They also do have quite a few things where you can use as photo ops, which is really cute. This review would be extremely long if I continued because there's just so much to do I think looking it up would be the best bet but we really did have a good time. It was a lot of fun even though there was kids running around everywhere it's not overstimulating. It's actually so large that everybody gets to have fun and there's so much sharing going on here. And they also have a pumpkin patch area. It's not like the tractor trailer takes you to the pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch is actually right there when you first enter so we opted out of that but otherwise we absolutely loved it and we will be back but just be mindful your phone does not work here. Friday night we attended Barnum & Bailey's circus. We entered in very quickly. Security was organized and quick. Our tickets were scanned and we found out seats, easily labeled. I did think to myself, it doesn't seam as clean as past event I have attended here. Also, one of our cup holders was taped together. Overall, the facility has everything needed to put on a show.

In Providence RI, the local fans are extremely knowledgeable about their hockey and that makes them great! Equally important, they are very hospitable to out-of-towners. To get along with the fanatics, you just have to be nice yourself.
