Plus, they get involved with the audience and children! They help teach kids hula and give out small party favors and leis! Kids really seem to have a blast with their performance! Oh! Perigeaux Vineyards and Winery as a wedding venue was simply perfect! My daughter was married at…read morePerigeaux on Saturday September 24, 2022 and everything really was absolutely perfect. From the moment we stepped on the property, my daughter knew this was the place she wanted to have her wedding. On the day we discovered Perigeaux, we were leaving a different venue that wasn't quite right for us and decided to just explore other nearby locations. We literally popped in to just look, not expecting to talk to anyone but perhaps to get a phone number so we could arrange a formal visit. One of the owners, John, was there and left the vines where he was gathering grapes to come sit with us to talk about the possibility of holding my daughter's wedding and reception at the venue. We cannot say enough about how great John was from our first meeting to the last phone call to congratulate us a couple days after the wedding. John was so easy to work with and his entire aura of "calm" helped to make the stressful process of planning a wedding so much less stressful. He offered us two wine tastings that would allow us to taste the wines so we could select a few for the event. We invited the groom's parents to join us, as well, to the tasting. On the day of the event, John and his amazing staff poured wine in the tasting room and shared information about the various wines and the vineyard itself with any guests who asked. He also provided trash service throughout the event to ensure that none of our trash cans were too full. John anticipated so many of the possible needs that I didn't even need to ask or think of them myself. John coordinated with the tent rental company we hired for when setup and take down would occur, so we had one less thing to coordinate. We love that he gave us access to the property throughout the weekend so we could set up tables and decorations a day or two prior to the wedding and then return a day or two after the wedding to remove the final decorations. Be aware that choosing this venue is making the choice for an outdoor venue; the Tasting room holds only a dozen or so people comfortably. We rented a large commercial tent to protect our guests from both too much sun and the possibility of rain. The 30x60' tent fit perfectly in the area next to the Tasting Room. We used the arch and the open area on the opposite side of the Tasting Room for the wedding ceremony. We brought in our own stand alone bar and placed it on the concrete slab right next to the tent and hired a bartender to pour drinks. The wine we decided was best poured in the Tasting Room since his staff could share information about the grapes and anything else our guests were interested in knowing about the wines they were enjoying. We used the TV in the Tasting Room to show a collection of photos of the bride and groom as they were growing up through the years on a video loop - the guests loved the visual while they sat and talked over a glass of wine. Guests were permitted to roam among the vines when they just wanted a quiet retreat from the DJ and the wedding crowd. The view to the west was just stunning as the sun set behind the vines. As the wedding ran into the evening, we shifted gears and sent the DJ home and enjoyed a fire at the fire pit. We played songs on the guitar, sang, sipped more wine, and just enjoyed the beauty and the calm of the venue. John, one of the owners, could not have made this experience any more pleasant or easy. He was kind, accommodating, and sincerely wanted our daughter's wedding to be absolutely perfect... and it was!

Other theaters are charging close to and over $20 per ticket so the Calvert Flagship location is a bargain. You can pre-select and pay for seats online before you go to guarantee where you sit. This comes with an added convenience fee of $1.90 per ticket. Purchasing tickets at the counter does save the added fee and you still select your seat. For high-demand movies, waiting until you arrive may leave you with limited choices. Nice selection of current movies playing, too. Others have said that the movie theatre was remodeled some years back with the oversized theatre lounge chairs that move into a recliner position with cupholders. Looks like the movie-goers are particularly hard on the chairs since many are peeling and some worse for wear. Those on the aisle appeared to be the hardest worn seating. Overall, the theatre is well kept and clean--lobby and bathrooms appear to be maintained and clean, too. The counter and sales ticket clerks were both very pleasant and helpful. That's always refreshing to meet workers who are communicative, smile and make one feel welcome instead of an inconvenience. Concessions are always much more costly at the movies and here is no exception. It's a splurge. You can spot frequent movie-goers with their refillable popcorn movie pails which is a good deal for frequent movie-goers. Consider this little perk of the concession counter for the long term investment. They run specials on concessions so check their website and any posted signs to see what active. Otherwise expect to pay $14+ for an oversized bag of popcorn and a huge self-dispensed drink from the refillable soda fountain. Note that theatre 4 must have had some water damage without remediation because there is a very distinct water damage odor. One of our party felt the effects resulting in sneezing, red & watery eyes and respiratory difficulties. Hopefully, the other theatres are clear of this problem but do know this might be an issue with those having asthma or other respiratory sensitivities. The sound level of the movies is on the higher decibel side which is good for hard-of-hearing movie-goers since captions are only offered on select screenings. For those sensitive to sound and planning on the action-adventure movies, consider wearing some sound dampening earplugs like Loops®, Eargasms® or Earpeace Pros®. This location does offer TheatreEars® for English to Spanish simultaneous translation via an IOS or Android app and your own earbuds. This is a nice feature so you can listen if your native language is Spanish. Selected movie screenings also do offer Open Captions so check the website and look for that feature if you are in need of captions while the movie plays (or if you are distracted by captions).
