But if you're looking for extremely talented manicurists, then look no further. I've been on the hunt for a good nail salon for YEARS in delco and I finally found it. When I walked in, I was kind of surprised to see that everything is brown. Literally everything. In some corners you would see tiki posts and then in others are Roman columns. The ceiling is checkered- that's right, the CEILING. Everything is covered in about 6 inches of dust and the wall art, I haven't seen since the 90s but these girls are GOOD. They still have Covid precautions up so that's a bit strange but the girls are so talented I didn't care. This is the first nail salon I went to in Delco that actually charges what is written on their pricing sheet. It's a major red flag to me when they don't. They don't have a huge variety of colors but I was happy with what they had. I'm taking a star off because of how dusty it is in there. And yes, I understand it's a nail salon and it's going to be dusty but this was a different level of dust. But I'll definitely be back.

My nails looked great and since I came in early on a Sunday I was out within an hour. The next time I visited, I'd waited too long and one nail was lifting. Since I was a walk-in I was assigned a young man, who even though I showed him the lift first, used the drill and hurt the nail badly with the lift. He did apologize but seemed less experienced. A few weeks later I called and made an appointment asking for Mary again and was told 1pm. When I arrived 5 min early I let the front desk know I'd made a 1pm appointment with Mary. I was asked to sit. After waiting for a half hour I asked how much longer and was then told that there was no appointment on the book for me. Mary stood in front of me, asked me what time I called and asked two other technicians if they'd made an appointment and was told no. She then told me I had not made an appointment. I asked if there was another technician available and was told no, but could I come back at 3pm. I felt like I was being called a liar, was uncomfortable and left. Not sure why they didn't let me know when I walked in and feel this could have been managed better.

I found Classic Hair and Nails Studio. I was there at 10am when they opened and I was first in line, as a small crowd had gathered before they opened. They washed my hair twice and conditioned it first. The hairdresser was waiting for me when they finished. I explained the bad experience I had and she said that the former hairstylist (if you can call her that) did not cut my hair properly. She even went so far as to say that it was the worst haircut she'd ever seen. Which I concurred. She really gave me a lot of attention and a gorgeous style. She thinned it out and gave it lots of layers. It has a timeless style that I can do multiple things with now. I plan to return in two weeks and have a complete color and highlights done. I got a gel pedicure with a french and she did an amazing job. I don't know why this place has bad reviews but I will be going back. Whoa. Not busy today but I have got to say it's the fastest and smoothest color change I've ever…read morehad. Side notes: I have short nails and get gel. I walked in, the nail technician removed my old nail color and soaked my finger tips in acetone (not my favorite but it saves cotton balls, aluminum foil, and my time). I pick my color during the time she removed my old color and she asked me to wash my hands with water. Did that. Then onto another removal process which went smoothly and on goes the primer(?) and nail color I chose. About 30 minutes later, I was out the door. It was the fastest color change experience I've ever had. It was great. Not only was it fast, she uses layers of polish (which I personally like) and finishes with the shiny layer (at least 2 coats). She used cuticle oil, hot towel, and olive oil lotion at the end. Perfect & quick experience. $20 total (not including tip) $5 more than the nail salon I often go to (which is also a great place but they're always so busy).
