Went today to get a pedicure and I am super satisfied. My nail tech was friendly and understanding of what I wanted. The business is clean and they played music I enjoyed. I got a gel pedicure with a french and she did an amazing job. I don't know why this place has bad reviews but I will be going back. I've visited every nail salon in this area and so far this is the best in for my pedicure so far. I also got my eyebrows waxed and the lady did an amazing great job. I only wanted a clean up and she didn't take too much of my eyebrows like other places. read more

I went there like last week for regular pedi and polish the lady didn't even let my feet soak. the entire process took like 15 minutes, she barely scrubbed my feet, they were dry like guys they literally did not soak. She didn't clip my toenails barely filed them, and I could have gotten better polish at the dollar store. They are definitely way over priced. I will say the salon itself is very beautiful. Very nice inside and the people were nice but it's over priced and the quality is not great definitely my least favorite pedicure I've had in the area. read more

TERRIBLE!!!! Just had the worst dip manicure of my life! The color looked NOTHING like the picture!! I asked if it was the same and all she kept saying was "the company gives us the book" ITS NOT! Terrible! I asked to change and she said "I should have said something earlier" she put 5 coats on. So thick and heavy. Asked her to change it and she said it was too late. Never again! read more

I've been to Ambiance on and off over the years and at first it was great! But last Saturday morning, I got to the salon at 9:45 a.m. I waited for a little while, which I didn't mind since I was a walk-in. The lady took my back at 10:10 a.m. I waited at the station for another 5 minutes. She finally comes over and asks what I would like. I tell her "I want a dip mani with tips." She tells me "gel is better." And I said, "I want dip." That was strange in and of itself. What proceeded was the absolute worst manicure or my life. She zipped through everything, like barely filed anything, never measured to see if they were even. Didn't even give me an opportunity to look at colors so I picked white just to be easy. Then when she went to cut my cuticles, she cuts me and I start bleeding all over. Not to mention; she never wiped the dust from the filing off my hands so I'm sure I'm in for some sort of infection. So now I'm bleeding and in pain, and have uneven and crooked nails. I go to pay and I hand her a $20 to make change for a tip. She has the AUDACITY, to hand me back two $10s. Excuse me, what about my 20-minute mani where you injured me makes you think you deserve a $10 tip? I make her give me two $5s. I'm out of there by 10:30am. I waited longer than it took her to do a crappy job. Never, ever again. read more

After reading other reviews i know it was 100% a mistake. I was looking for Garden nails but found this place. My polish look horrible on my toes. Its very lumpy. I have cuts all over my hands. They don't really care about taking care of your nails. Service is know it all, they don't listen to what you say. Please do not waste your money. read more

I have tried giving Ambiance a 2nd, 3rd and final chance. First, had nails done and they were burning from the clear coat going into the cuts around my cuticles, 2nd got a pedicure, they turned on burning hot water and left, it was overflowing and there I am bare foot trying to stop the water, final chance went with my daughter for pedicures, they started her and she was finished before they even acknowledged me as I sat there barefoot. They lost a customer who was willing to give them a chance. Rather pay a little more and go a bit further to get a quality pedicure and made to feel like they appreciate my business. read more

I would give it a 0 in stars, but that's not possible so I give a 1 star. My mother and I came to Ambiance Nails on Saturday, June 17th at 9am. I was sat down and someone prepped my water. Then about 10-15 minutes later I was seen by the person who did my nails. The women's attitude was very unprofessional, but I just assumed it was because it was early in the morning. As we began to start my pedicure she was aggressive with my feet and cut me twice with one of the tools. I paid and after I arrived to my car, I noticed that my polish was messed up. I went back and the women seemed irritated and they told me that my mom owed money because they forgot to charge her for a gel pedicure, but the total was $104, so how did they forget ? I came home last night from a family dinner, and realized there was paint missing from my pinky toe. The paint job is sloppy and I'm very dissatisfied with the service I received. I've called them four times since then to ask if they can fix it, but no one has answered the phone. My mother and I wasted our money, there should be no reason that paint should be missing from ONE toe. The customer service was terrible and I wouldn't recommend this establishment to any of my friends or family. The cuts on my toes still hurt and I have paint missing from my ONE toe. Now I'll have to pay for my toes to get done over again else, can't wear my sandals, and can't even get it fixed by them because of them. read more

The first time I went here for acrylics my cuticles were clipped WAY too much and my fingers actually bled. I got a $5 discount. A couple years later I decided to give this place another shot for a pedicure and boy was I disappointed...again They tell you to pick from a very limited supply of regular nail polishes at the front when they actually have an entire room in the back of nail polishes! I can understand why they don't want customers in the back but they don't let you know there's a bigger selection. When I asked if there was more colors to chose from, they told me to use the sample nails and pick from that, so I did. Once I went back for the pedicure the water was cold so I asked for it to be warmer, which they did. Once I told them I only wanted a regular pedicure, it was as though I was being rushed. They didn't cut my cuticles or use the brush to scrub my feet, which was disappointing. On the other hand, they actually scrubbed my moms feet so hard they took a layer of skin off and she was bleeding on both feet. Then, proceeded to spray it with alcohol. Ouch. They continued to paint our toe nails..very mediocre. We left the salon with nail polish on our cuticles, which we had to touch up when we got home. We didn't receive any discounts; we paid full price and still tipped. If you want a relaxing, clean, enjoyable pedicure experience do not go here. read more

Once again i tried Ambiance Salon at McDade mall. This by far the worst salon i have ever been to. I waited 30 minutes to get a 10 minute manicure. First of all, the lady who did my nails had dirty fingers and crazy lady makeup on. No one acknowledged me when i walked in. She took 5 minutes to barely push back my cuticle and the manicure bowl had cold water in it. After that the lady wiped lotion on my hand, no massage! Did you know the pedicures are timed? For 20 bucks its a 15 minute pedicure.. If i am paying 20 bucks you better take your time on my feet. Its pretty bad they have a sign at the drying station, saying you have 3 days to come back and get your polish fixed. NEVER AGAIN! I have gone there twice now. Both times I said I wanted a specific style of nail. The first time I asked for elaborate hand crafted nails that were not just tips but specifically built because I wanted a "Stiletto-shaped" nail of medium length. I had about $100 to spend to get this accomplished as I had saved it up. When she glued the nail tip on I asked why but she said that was how they are built. I asked about the foil wrapper on the nail and stuff but she ignored me. I questioned then her ability to understand English and figured I would just bring a picture next time. But the nails for $55 + tip turned out "Almond-shaped" and the design was not anything to write home about - far from elaborate - (white with silver glitter, and two nails designed with glitter from a nail polish jar) far from even really standing out at all. And they insist on you having the expensive Gel. I felt rushed and judged by my clothing that I possibly didn't have enough money to pay. She also put lotion on me that gave me an allergic reaction. Sum Total: $55 for acrylic tips/Gel and 4 small paint designs. The second time I went - cause I am a fool who gives people the benefit of the doubt and thought that I did not explain properly so I wanted to give her another chance to do things properly. But this time she told me how I don't want too many rhinestones or designs because it's too expensive. Again I had over $100 to pay for nails and yet again she just seemed too, rushed gave me Almond-shaped nails again despite repeatedly saying "Very pointy" "Stiletto style" and "Very sharp" they were still Almond shaped. I said I wanted an elaborate french manicure with lots of different rhinestones and designs on each finger in black and purple. She told me "That's too expensive" and basically refused. And then only did black despite me asking for a purple liner. I asked if they could be matte finish and I was told they ran out and never ordered it again. And that they didn't have other colors of glitter nail polish to decorate the nails with $40 for a nail fill/Gel. If you do go, ask for anyone but Lily. And maybe if the others are off their phones they will help you. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. They cut me FIVE TIMES on five different fingers. I was so disappointed... Yes with the fact that they cut me but even more so when I talked to them about it after. I am not a complainer and if he cut me once, no big deal but five times!!! When I went to go pay I was very polite but asked that I please get a discount and the guy laughed at me. Said he was sorry and laughed saying "no discount". I asked to speak to someone else and she came up, he pointed out all the times he cut me and she said she would give me $5 off... What!? Still I was polite but firm and asked the girl if she thought that was good business. I asked her if this is normal for them... To cut someone five times because I had never been there before and she just shrugged... The guy continued to chuckle. I paid (they gave me a $10 discount), and I left. So disappointing. So rude. Incredibly unprofessional. I was there for over 3 hours for a deluxe pedi and sns mani and seriously wish I could get that time back. I will never go back & highly recommend you go elsewhere. read more

This weekend was my first time going to this nail salon. It's super close to my home and know if a few friends that go here. I've found both pros and cons about this place. The atmosphere and ambiance is very nice. Super peaceful in there and well decorated. Talented nail technicians and they were friendly. I had no complaints about the customer service. I did like that they use covers for the pedi spa bath, you don't just use the same tub as everyone else. Which is always a huge concern of mine. However, they have a super long wait if you're a walk in. After about 30 min of waiting My friend and I decided to ask for a later appointment and come back at a later time. Which we were accommodated for. When we did come back the service was good but lengthy and the nail technician did keep trying to sell more as they have dif pedi and mani spa packages. All in all I would say I would probably give them one more go and see how that time turned out. I do think they are a bit over priced but then again you get what you pay for. read more

I have been to this nail salon and few times and after my latest manicure, I will never return again. The time before this, my pinky was cut and I was bleeding. This time, I didn't receive an even half decent manicure. I could have done a better job at home. I did not receive a hand massage and the polish was applied very sloppy. My nails were not manicured well at all. I have excess skin by my cuticles and the edges are not smooth. I also think it's very strange that you can pay with a credit card, but cannot tip with a credit card. This was the place I've gone on a Sunday when my regular place is closed. I will not make that mistake again. My nails look awful and I wasted my money. Very disappointing. read more

Do not go here if you want to get dip powder nails! I went in to get dip powder nails done, and they don't do it right here at all. The whole point of dip powder nails is they're fast drying with no UV light, but here they use UV. They skip the last two steps of the dip system and instead give you a gel topcoat. The color on my nails is also very thick making it impossible to do anything, and after a week is already chipping on two fingers! Save your money and go to another salon. read more

I was a long time customer, I returned faithfully to Ambiance Nail Salon for two years. In the beginning I was treated averagely like any other nail salon, but continuing to go here was thievery. They tack on extra fees that many customers who do not ask for a receipt would not know about. They added a fee for "long nails" even as my nails were average nail lengths. They added a fee for a "cut down" when the cut down was not anything lengthy. They added on an extra fee for a soak off and a fresh full set. This nail salon is overpriced as is for mediocre service and charges individualized smaller fees onto the bill. Not to mention, I and other clients, I am sure have noticed too, they discriminate amongst certain customers who come in the door. One dissatisfied look by the staff and they will tell them their wait time is 2-3 hours long to discourage the customer then another customer will come in soon after and will be taken immediately to sign in and get their services done. There are a couple decent employees working there but for the most part, the nail salon is not worth your money. I recently switched to another nail salon in the area and am so much more satisfied with their hospitality, their work ethics, and their cleanliness. read more

I missed my appointment at my normal nail salon so I decided to give these guys a chance. They were not to busy so I gave them a chance! The young lady that did my pedicure appeared not be as skilled as the other ladies. She had to ask for help several times so I assumed she was new. So I was patient and understanding, UNTIL she ran out of the bright yellow polish that I picked out she said let me get another one cool I said. She comes back with off white almost egg shell color polish n said oh that's close. I said no that's not yellow at all! She argued me down for 2 minute. Until her coworker got her a bright yellow kit from the back and told her this is what she wants I said yes that's nice! Long story short she messed that up! Put a different color glitter on my big toe instead of clear litter which I asked for! She got mad and fixed my big toe! I'm ready to go she said I'mma do ur eyebrows I said oh no can someone else do it please! She said oh no they busy you going to Have to wait ( salon mainly empty) I said no problem I'll go somewhere else as I pay for my mediocre pedicure the lady whispered under her breath and said FUCK YOU and DON'T COME BACK! I actually liked coming here but can't regularly due to the distance. I came today because I had a ride. I will never return. Every time I go in here it is never a good experience. I have given them too many second chances. They're rude, their boss rushes the workers who then rush you to pick a color and sit down. Most will rush through doing your nails. I had a new guy do my nails today and you can still see parts of the manicure from the previous, they're too thick, and lumpy. I asked him to not use a certain drill, he kept using it the whole time, I told him it was burning and he didn't stop. I have been here several times and after my most recent visit I am done. Me and my mom always go together and every time the second we walk in the door we can barely ever even pick out a color we are always rushed. This past week we both went to get our "dip powder" removed. My nail lady takes me back rushes through taking it off because someone walks in for a pedicure. Stops half way through doing my nails to start her pedicure then comes back all rushed to finish. I get finished and they charged me $10 just to remove it. No filing or nail cutting was done and no polish was applied. My mom gets hers done. Her nail lady proceeds to tell her that she has a fungus and she can "give her medicine to get rid of it". We get to the front she is charged $13 for the "manicure" ( they cut and filed her nails and cut her cuticles- no polish was applied). They charged her $10 for removal of her dip powder. And then $17 for this fungal medication!!! Such a waste of money. We get to the car and my mom puts her finger underneath the nail with the "fungus" and it turns out it was just dirt. So we go back in and return the fungal medicine and the nail tech just goes "okay". I find it very alarming that a nail salon even sells fungal medication. Nothing is clean in this place. And considering they are causing people funguses they should probably be giving the medication to people for free. I am so grossed out and will never return to this salon. read more

I'm usually not one to leave a bad review about a business, but after my experience today I felt that it was necessary to convey how awful my experience was. My sister and I had an appointment for a mani and pedi and while we were there we were talked into a hot stone pedi (which I was really looking forward to) well during the pedi both technicians were called back half way through to do waxes. The girl doing my sisters nails apologized for stepping away, yet mine said nothing, just disappeared for 10 mins while I had freezing cold "hot towels" on my legs. Both techs came back and proceeded with the pedis. Mine was majorly rushed and she burned me several times with the stones even after I told her they were very hot. I now have burn marks on the bottom of my feet. Besides that the pedicure was very rushed (only took about 15 mins). My feet don't even feel or look like I got one done. After was the mani. I usually get gel, but by the way things were going I decided to just get regular polish this time. THANK GOD ! I told my tech I don't like my nails super short and showed her the length I'd like them cut to. Well she obviously paid no attention to what I said and cut them as short as they could go. Right after a man that was working the front desk went up to my sisters tech (meanwhile my sister is pregnant and about to go any day now) and he abruptly taps her on the shoulders and said "you wait while she does a wax". The tech said no I'm not making her wait again and the man proceeded to scream at her in the middle of the salon saying "YOU GO DO THE WAX NOW !!" She again apologized again up and down. Next he comes up to me, grabs my wrists and puts them in a bowl of freezing cold water with no soap and tells my tech to do a wax. She doesn't question it and leaves the station, not even saying a word to me. Both girls come back about 10 mins later and finish the manis. My sisters nails looked great and the girl that did them was fantastic and I feel she was treated poorly. My nails on the other hand were an absolute joke. There was polish all over my skin and when I said something she abruptly said "I was getting to that" (even though she had told me I was done). Not to mention my nails are all different lengths and all different shapes. I paid $52 for maybe an hour, no more, for both a pedi and mani that I feel a child could have done way better. I will never come back here again. Besides my sisters tech, there was absolutely nothing good about this place and I feel it was a complete waste of money. read more
