They always have a nice selection. The prices are reasonable. I definitely think this is one of the best thrift stores in the tri cities .

It really blows that you guys don't deliver and pick up. That's not helping your community. Sometimes we need that extra help. Shame on you.

I bought a clock made from excess graphite and process tubes from the Hanford reactors (so it was never used in the actual reactor, with no chance of radioactivity), supplied by the B Reactor Museum Association. The gift shop proceeds are used to fund interpretative projects at the reactor, make displays, and support many other reactor related projects. The owner is also a former Health Physicist at the Hanford Vitrification Project. The rest of the shop has a dizzying array of books, scifi toys, memorabilia, and posters. There's even a cordoned off rare book room which contains books from the 1600's and first editions of books. This shop is a labor of love and much appreciated. They can be open even beyond their posted hours, so if you're in the area, it's worth stopping by to check it out!

He has all kinds of collectibles here. Rows and rows of books, old out of print books , expensive rare 1st edition books, movie props and memorabilia, movie posters, pop-culture collectibles, collectible sci-fi toys, tons of Hanford Nuclear collectibles and souvenirs. And his personal service to you is great too. I asked about a particular topic in sci-fi that I was trying to find a book on, but I couldn't remember the author and he knew exactly which authors to look for in that genre right off the top of his head! The man is a wealth of knowledge. You could easily spend a couple of hours in here just looking at everything he has to offer. Although I wanted to buy more, I did end up purchasing an old hardback book of Treasure Island from 1924 that I've always fancied. One of my favorites from my childhood. Not a big purchase, but it was one that I had wanted. More people need to know about this place.

I just couldn't leave town without stopping in! I'm a huge reader, so this was actually my first visit in a bookstore since sheltering-in-place, which made the experience all the more special to me. I walked in and was the only one in the store, other than the owner. This is a used bookstore with many prized possessions here. I could've really spent the entire day here, but was given a deadline of 20 minutes by bae because we had a wine tasting appointment we needed to get to. So I quickly found the fiction area and browsed as fast as I could, in search of my next read. They also had a deal where if you buy two books, you get one for free, which was tempting. But sadly, I was only able to find one book in such a short time spent here. However, I scored a first edition of a John Updike novel, so it's really a win-win. Bailey's Bibliomania is located off the main street of businesses in town. Parking is easy to find right out front of the store. The owner was very nice and just as you'd expect from these kind of small bookstores, it's a place where you can talk about books with the owner because he actually reads the material. In my brief chat with him, I learned that Bailey's Bibliomania was named after his beagle that sadly passed away. Yet, you see the image of a beagle in the store's logo throughout the place. I just love that this kind of bookstore makes for such a needed presence today, in a world of screens. Kittitas is lucky to have this here; support this business!

And wander I did in Churchill's, through shelf after shelf of fiction, non fiction, vintage titles. I eventually left with a paperback I'd never heard of, a first edition of one of my old favorites, and a cool 1980 comic book that just struck my fancy. But more than the things I bought, what I really found in the meandering shelves of this little bookshop was the sense that there could be some treasure waiting for me around the next corner. In this little space filled with books of all kinds, Churchill's captures the feeling of discovery that all good bookstores have and online bookstores just can't replicate. My kids weren't with me this time, but I could hear them as I wrapped up my visit to Churchill's bookshop. "Come ON Dad, let's goooo already." I had to smile. I can always tell it's a great bookstore when I can hear my kids telling me I've spent too long wandering its shelves.
