All of the employees here are super friendly, and the store overall has a great vibe. Fair warning, it is always PACKED around the holidays, but for good reason-- there isn't a better spot to grab a Christmas gift. The prices are very reasonable, and I think the selection is pretty good for the size of the store. During my most recent visit, my MIL purchased me a beautiful edition of Paradise Lost for ~$20, which I thought was a steal. It's well printed and contains a lot of the gorgeous Doré woodblock prints, which I absolutely love. I will definitely be back!

That makes me pretty skeptic about her knowledge. The old lady that runs the place seems to be more of a book hoarder than retailer. Last time I went (a year ago, heard the owner had tried to sell it since then?) the books were relatively over-priced ... many I could order from amazon & pay less for, S&H included.

I lost track of what I did with it and they moved to Tri-Cities. Over 20 years later I came across it from one of my boxes in storage. I since moved from Spokane and now live over 3 hours drive from their current location. Last week (September of 2026) I had planned a trip and decided to bring the certificate with me as I was traveling through their area. I spoke to an extremely helpful associate who contacted the current owner of the business and was thankful and amazed to say that she still honored the gift certificate!!! This store is FILLED with soooo much cool stuff. I could've easily had a certificate for $5,000 let alone $50 and still barely scratch the surface of their awesome inventory!!! While I was waiting in line, a customer behind me mentioned that she travels over 100 miles from Pendleton, OR to shop there. I don't blame her! I certainly will be stopping by EVERY time I'm in the area!!! Thank you SOOOO much for honoring the certificate AND operating such an AWESOME store!!! Looking forward to my next visit!!! P.S. the used comics are a GREAT deal at Buy 2 get 1 FREE!!!

Who knows what treasures abound this day or next week? You're looking for what book? Of course you can't find it! How could you? I've been here countless times and I seldom try very hard to find something particular. I query the wizard behind the book sellers desk, (you may have to look hard to see him), he may have what you seek, but not on a shelf. Perhaps tucked away for one reason or another. It may here but not for sale per se. Maybe it is on a shelf and still seems to be invisible. If it's here, he will know that and where. If it isn't, it's likely he can obtain a copy. Book sellers have stores that are like the multitudes you see, you know, in strip malls, in boutiques, and so on.
