Twelve years later, I will do an update. It has the same excellent service, selection, and price. Yes, that is correct. I paid the same price I paid 12 years ago. I can't purchase shoes online. I need to try them on and walk around to see if they fit the way I want them to. I have never had an easy foot to fit for a shoe. When I was younger, a size 12D was impossible to find. I went into a store and asked them to find something in my size. American feet have gotten larger over the years, so much easier to find the shoe I want. read more

I am seventy-nine. I ran marathons in my thirties and triathlons in my fifties. I spent my sixties talking about the fun I had in my earlier years. When I turned seventy I decided to quit talking about my past and work at making this the best time of my life. That's when I learned of this local store specializing in New Balance where I can be properly fitted. When I entered the store a busy sales person welcomed me. This was followed up by another salesperson who offered me assistance. I explained issues and what I was hoping for. From that she took me to the shoe display and showed me a range of shoes she felt would fit my needs. My feet were measured for size and she went to the stockroom. She came out with the store manager who fitted me and completed the sale. The sale comes with a 30day satisfaction guarantee, but I would need to take them off and wear them only in the house so they remain in like new condition. My husband and I really love our 990's and we were both due for a new pair. We stopped by to get each a pair and a lady named Amy helped us out. My shoe size was not in stock. I asked if we could order them. Amy looked to see if the warehouse had them and she helped order my size. My husband left with a nice pair of 2002. It is located in the Marketplace Shopping Center near Pelican Bay in Naples. You have a sales person in your store named Amy who has been with you for two decades. She is excellent She fits your shoes properly and guides you through the purchase. She will tell you the truth and not sell you a shoe that does not meet your needs. and fit perfectly. Employees such ss Amy should be treasured. We visited this store last year and were fitted for shoes. The shoes worked out so well I returned this year. I was notified I was wearing the wrong size (that were fitted by them the last year). I had suddenly went up a half size and width, so I figured they are the size experts (first mistake), and purchased. After returning from a trip that involved allot of walking, no matter how I laced them my heel fell out. I called the store and explained my situation (to not waste a trip) and they advised me to come in and they would take a look. Well she looked and laced them differently with the same result I had (not surprised). The clerk told me that a size 9 2E (last year's fitted size) was the same as a size 9 1/2D (this year's fitted size). So, I asked why sell a size 9 1/2 to me. I was told by the clerk to contact New Balance, maybe they could help. New Balance said it was up to the store, because of the sizing. At least one good thing...I will donate the shoes and hope someone can use them. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to the store. Lots of lessons learned here! read more

I needed new running shoes as I was very overdue. I first looked for shoes online at various websites. That gets so confusing and it is so difficult to order shoes without first trying them on. Then I looked at a big-box sporting goods store where I tried on several shoes. Oh my gosh, I found myself eventually in a hurry to get out of there - my choices were many; yet what a bewildering experience. Then, I remembered an ad in the newspaper about the New Balance store on N. Tamiami Trail. THAT experience, was like a breath of fresh air. It started with a warm welcome and some great help from a phenomenal sales associate, Laurie. Laurie TOOK MEASUREMENTS of my feet, noticed my arches (or lack of) and prescribed the perfect fitting shoe. It is a proper fit that I have been missing for years! Flawless in every way!
