Both items were on the sweeter side, and I usually don't like very sweet desserts, so that may just be a personal preference.

I called Freed's (in a panic) and Jayme was AMAZING!! She was able to get me setup to pickup TWO cakes the next day, sent me previews of what they would look like, and was kind enough to let me know how much cake I would need for the amount of people at our party. The matcha flavor from the powder was also very muted. Still an interesting bite. THE FINAL BAMBOO: For a pack of 12 mochi beignets, the damage done was around $20. Overall, they were alright however I would recommend to try it at least once.
