After having a lot of experience in martial arts like Taekwondo and Muay Thai I decided to try out boxing because of my lifelong interest and love for the great sport. I started going to Nevarez Boxing several weeks ago. From the very first day, I was impressed. I only do the boxing as cardio (I do not spar), but that is good enough. Sandra was very friendly as soon as I walked in for my free class and coach Brian showed the individual attention needed when trying a place out for the first time. Both are very professional, respectful, and friendly. Coach Bryan knows almost everyone's name too!!! I loved it so much that I ended up with the unlimited a month. Once again, I love it. Been a member for little under a month now. This is a legit boxing gym not just some boxfit stuff. They will train you to enhance combat skills. As a beginner, the classes are rough at 1.5 hours of high intensity, but worth it. There aren't specific classes for various levels, because somehow Coach Brian remembers everyone, their names, and what their skill levels are at and provides group instruction and personalized attention all at the same time (it's remarkable). Everyone is nice and respectful but serious about the sport. I feel comfortable even though I'm at a novice level looking for conditioning primarily. read more

People actually train here who wanna be fighters but also kids parents and old guys like me who want to get back into shape. Coach Brian, a retired pro, will get you ready for the ring. Coaches Brian, Sandra, and Bernard are great people and very friendly, but they will make you give your best. Can't even begin to describe how great this place is. Coach Brian is simply the best at what he does. This is not one of those cardio only boxing gyms, this is the real deal. Train like a fighter, get the skills of a fighter. You will not get in the ring unless you want to but you will train hard and tough. You can see the quality of the training by all the members that attend the gym and the knowledge that Coach Brian has for the sport. Brian personal trains me on Fridays and my skills, conditioning, and endurance have improved 100%. His training has gotten me ready for Spartan Races, 5ks, and law enforcement physical agility tests. The gym itself has nothing but positive vibes and every one there gets along and encourages each other. Although it is male dominated, not once have I felt uncomfortable or intimidated. Coach B is the greatest coach you could ask for, for any level boxer, whether you're training for pro fights or just trying to lose some weight. He knows every single member by name, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and handles a whole lot of sass with a smile on his face. Failure is not an option with him and he will continuously push you to go harder. "Easy work" so he calls it. Talk about a love/ hate relationship! Lol Sandra, his wife & co-owner, is the sh!t. She makes sure everything is up and running, worked her butt off during covid to ensure they could remain open, figures out all the inventory and class scheduling, and is a dope a$$ boxer too! She's a true inspiration to watch when she's gloved up. I've been coming to them on and off for almost 5 years now and I couldn't imagine a better place to blow off steam, get in shape, and have fun.
