My family sees Dr. Conkey. He is very professional, never makes me feel like he's in a rush to get to the next patient. I've always felt that he is thorough and gives me the best eye care. He was patient with my 6 year old son which I appreciate. The staff is great, the place is always clean and welcoming. I would recommend him and this office to anyone. read more

worst place to go to, I had frames replaced on my glasses, the company put my lenses in the new glasses for me , I picked up the glasses, this company did not tell me that they scratched the lenses when they put the glasses together, shame on this company to let me walk out there door, not telling me that the lenses became damaged. i have a appointment with a new doctor to start over and get new glasses will never go back read more

Wanted to write about my experience with Nevada Vision Group and specifically Dr. Ward and her staff. To sum it up, nothing but excellent! Everything ran on time, the techs were very patient with me and Dr. Ward spent all the time needed, answered all my questions and very easy to understand. I do have some follow-up and the appointment was easily scheduled. Fantastic visit and really like Dr. Ward and her staff. I also decided to replace one pair of eyeglasses and spent some time with again, a very patient optician who showed me literally a few dozen frames! The service was very pleasant and the price of the new eyeglasses very reasonable too! After they arrived, I have to say they took time to fit me properly, explained best cleaning procedures etc. Turns out, these are the clearest best frames I have ever purchased and extremely pleased! Overall, I give Nevada Vision Group 5+Stars for caring about their patients, excellent service and fantastic eyeglasses too! Thank you read more

I would like to get in touch with the owners because I had gone in one day to only get my glass frames adjusted due to one side being high than the other. The tech had made many tiny scratches or fractures into my lens. I had pointed out to her that she had made the scratches and suggested for me to use my warranty, but my warranty only last a year and these glasses were only around 2-3 years old. I rarely use them because I wear my contacts about half the amount of days in a week. Since I had not purchased my glasses or lenses there they said they wouldn't fix it even though THEY were the ones who ruined it and my eyesight seeing into it now! I can't use my glasses at night especially were she scratched it because it's unfocused and makes the lights too long. I am a college student too and I can't afford to spend an extra $200 on my high index glasses on something I had not done myself! The tech should know what lenses they are, and to what extent to mess with them so no one ends up with broken glasses! The only thing she could say to me is no matter where you go they could break your lenses or glasses, especially if they're old. I would believe a lens to be the last thing that would get broken unlike a frame if you put them under good care which I had since the lenses are more expensive than others. Believe me if I would have known they would fuck up my glasses I would have never gone back to ask the simple favor, especially as I was a patient there before. I was so upset this happened it completely ruined my day yesterday and made me cry. I am not the type of person who publicly speaks about people's performances because they were nice, but if they would have done the right thing and try to fix the situation this wouldn't be a problem! Again I didn't ask for this! Thanks! -Slezak read more

After having two previous appointments with no issues at this office I called to reschedule an appointment for an annual exam. The front desk receptionist who took my call was incredibly rude and condescending to me on the phone. I recently changed to my husbands insurance but he carried the exact same insurance as I did previously as we were employed at the same place. I answered all the insurance questions I was asked but was rudely told "I have to tell her this information" after giving her insurance information she didn't ask me for. Instead I was told I need some number that isn't listed on my insurance card and isn't my husbands social security number in order to book an appointment. I was told that my husband needs to call his human resource office to get some kind of personal identification number? And that I would have to call back with that number in order to make an appointment. When I questioned this number I have never had to supply before and didn't even know such a thing existed I was HUNG UP on! As the phone was hanging up and I was still talking I heard the woman on the phone talking about me to someone near her!! Unprofessional, rude and violating my privacy rights. Unbelievable. read more

Dr Summer Foster was amazing! We are new to Reno & I'm always nervous finding new doctors. Dr Foster & her team made my 15 yr old daughter feel right at ease. The staff was so helpful assisting her in picking out the perfect new glasses. We will all be returning to see Dr Foster & the staff at NV Vision Group. read more

I would highly recommend Nevada Vision Group!! The staff is always very pleasant, professional and personable. Dr. Conkey always treats us so well, takes care of every aspect of our need and clearly explains all treatment. We also appreciate the follow-up. Again we (my family and I) HIGHLY recommend NVG! read more

Nice... clean office, friendly and you get your glasses quick, they also have a nice selection of eye wear. Dr. Ward is the best!

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Foster, to the point where I almost got up and walked out. The girl is very young and inexperienced. She was socially awkward and her emotional IQ was practically nonexistent. Ultimately Dr. Foster was rude, condescending, pretentious, unprofessional and inconsiderate. read more

I chose Nevada Vision Group because it was an in-network choice for my insurance. During and after my visit, I was sorely disappointed. As a new patient I came in about 15 minutes early, figuring I would need to fill out paper work, which I did. My appointment was at 10:00 am; I was not called back to see a technician until 10:30. I feel as though I was rushed through all the tests. The doctor I saw was nice enough, but again; feeling rushed. I was in to look at glasses and consider contacts. They dilated my eyes; which makes things fuzzy to see, and they expected me to pick out frames right then and there. I picked out a frame I thought looked decent until I got home later that day and thought that maybe I should go back when I could see better. The customer service I received when I called was less than helpful, and the person I spoke with sounded like I was interrupting something very important going on and she didn't have the time of day to help me with my questions and concerns. When I said I wanted to cancel the order until I could come in again I received attitude. They require some payment for the glasses when you order them so I inquired about a refund and got more attitude. I ordered a pair of contacts, when I came in to pay and pick them up a couple weeks later I asked about the refund, which I hadn't received yet and my prescription. The lady said, "well obviously you're going somewhere else since you're asking for your prescription." Although she was correct in her statement, who says that out loud to a patient? This lady was very difficult to deal with. I didn't appreciate any part of my visit and I wouldn't recommend their services or their group for your eye care based on the treatment and customer service I received. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Summer Foster for about 4 or 5 years now and she's always been great. She's very personable, never in a hurry and always explains her findings and makes sure I am comfortable with everything that has transpired in the exam. The staff has always been friendly, prompt and helpful. I buy my glasses elsewhere, so I can't comment on the optical staff, but am confident that they're just as professional, friendly and helpful. read more

I came to Nevada Vision Group with an open mind and high expectations, but I left extremely frustrated and disappointed with the entire experience. I have often had trouble wearing contacts and it was important to me that I received a contact evaluation with an optometrist. After my appointment, I felt as though I knew as much as I did about why I have trouble with contacts as when I arrived. I said that my eyes seemed to be dry often, and they simply gave me a pair that "seems to have good results" on patients with dry eyes--I gained no additional information about my eyes. The doctor seemed to be in a hurry over the entire duration of the visit, 5 to 10 minutes. After I decided to no longer be a patient, I asked for my prescription records (for glasses and contacts) as well as my entire patient record. The information I needed to purchase contacts elsewhere was omitted--I had to have my new contact provider call Nevada Vision Group again to access my full prescription. I did order glasses through NVG which I am very happy with--additionally, the woman who helped me choose my frames did an excellent job. But literally every other part of my experience with this practice was painful. read more

Saw Dr Summer Foster on Monday. And took my kid there 2 weeks prior. All of the staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. Thank you all for the wonderful service. read more

I truly wish you could give this place zero stars. I would suggest going ANYWHERE else but here. Not only are the doctors terrible. It's a revolving door for employees. There are always new employees coming and going because the doctors do not know how to run a business. There's a new job posting/listing for this place every other week. WORST PLACE EVER. read more

Went in for my yearly exam . Most things about this office are great.except one employee. The girl that did the text before I was seen by the doctor was rude. When she was doing the tests I told her the machines she was testing me on sat to high. She adjusted the first one three times , the second and third machine was to high also . She acted like she didn't want to adjust them so it would be comfortable for the test. She didn't seem like she liked here job. read more

Went there for the first time as my old Eye Doctor Hum went there prior to retiring. Took forever to complete my first appointment. Everyone there was courteous enough but most were not very efficient. Went back to get glasses and when home found I couldn't see well at all with them. Back to the office and had a new exam. The doctor said I may have had dry eyes when I had the other exam! After that exam my new glasses still didn't work! I then asked to just forget bi focals and give me regular reading glasses and a pair for distance. Third time up was no better!! Thank goodness for Costco. I took my prescriptions to them and for 500 dollars got the 2 pair of glasses I originally went for at Nevada Vision. Then when the final bill came they charged me to change the lenses in both pair of glasses. I was into this for almost 1200.00 and also forgot they never billed my insurance until I got the first bill! Needless to say I will never darken the doors of this Office again! read more

The optometrist I saw was knowledgeable, took a great deal of time with me discussing issues and was very pleasant. Having said that, the front of the house just needs help. Additionally, office hours are not cohesive to the working poor. Rx's are not available via email, forcing addition time off work to come in and pick up paperwork. The overpriced products in store take a large portion of your check and I do not recommend purchasing eyewear here. Again, wonderful back of the house. read more

I am seeing Dr. Wilson for last 3 years, and he has been great. He will explain things, make you comfortable and polite. I will be keep going to him read more

New to needing glasses, I've been to see Dr. Foster twice now in two years. She's great. I really like this office very much and appreciate that they have the newest technologies (for example: no more dilating and touching the eyeballs during normal exams! Yes! However, keep in mind, this specific new technology is not covered by most insurance, you have to pay $35 extra). Just one less star because the glasses are SO EXPENSIVE and I wish I had been told of other options when I had to purchase my first pair (like buying them online, etc). The "store" part of their doctor's office should be a separate concept and provided as a service AFTER telling me my options. I didn't know better. I do appreciate that I could get very fancy lenses and my friends look through them and say they are def. a step up, but the frames were too expensive. Great doctor though and that is what is most important. read more

I have been going to a dr. there for more than 15 years...the dr. is very good however, the service from the staff - particularly the vision/glasses staff is pathetic. They 'conned' my son into buying $600 glasses, promised to get them "RUSHED" and then, never followed up with their lab about why the glasses has not shown up in the few days they promised; then they lied and admitted they did not request 'rush' service and assured him they would be in Monday - Monday was a holiday and when he called today Tues. - he was told they would be on the truck due and they would call as soon as it came in. No call. When I called, they again lied - claiming they had just got off the phone with the lab and they assured them they would likely be delivered the next day. She told me that she had requested the lab put a rush but they figure if the glasses come in in 7-10 days, that is fast. Then she claimed she was the one who helped my son and said - 'oh he's the one from Vegas" - well, no, we live in Reno. Another lie. Dr. Ward is a good eye doctor but this GROUP is pathetic; poor customer service; poor follow up and simply do not care about the customer as long as they got their money. We will never go back to this group. I will just find another doctor. The one star is only because the doctor is good....if there was a separate rating for the customer service - it would be negative -10. Do not go there. They care about the insurance and conning you in to buying high priced glasses you can get anywhere else for 1/2 the price. read more

I will never use them again. I went there because they were in my network. My old vision care center no longer accepted mine. I felt pressured to pick out my lenses that day. They had me choose my frames before I'd even completed my visit and had to choose while my eyes were dilated - and the dilation medication not only whacks my vision, but makes me physically ill as well, which I explained to them. After a week, I still had no glasses and called them. I was informed that their lab (out sourced) had gotten the prescription completely wrong in one lens (how does that happen?) and that they'd have to send them back to be redone. Another week goes by and they call to tell me that, yes, my glasses have arrived but unfortunately, the frames broke and they'll have to send order new frames and their in-house people would put them together. Another week gone. Finally got the glasses and everything seemed okay, but then I noticed that the lens on one side was bowing out of the frame. It could not be pushed back in so I called them. When I brought them in I was asked if I'd left them in my car because heat can cause this kind of problem. I said no, I need the glasses to see and the only time my glasses are in my car is when I am and they are on my face. So they told me they'd have to order new frames and could I please leave my glasses? NO, I need them to see. It's been a week and a half and still no call from them on the status of the replacement frames. I called today and I was told they'd have to check on it and would give me a call later with status. Not. Happy. At. All. read more

Dr. Conkey and his team is staff is amazing. I was quickly greeted when I walked in and asked if I had any updates to my insurance, billing, etc. I had not been seated in the waiting area 5 minutes when I was taken back to begin the exam. Dr. Conkey said since my eyes were in good health from my last visit, I did not need to be dilated, etc. This sped up the visit and I was out on my way within an hour. I wanted to change the lenses in my sunglasses that I had previously purchased and was offered the right product, not the most expensive as I had received from another office. read more

I was inspired to write a review of Nevada Vision Group by their great customer service! I broke the frames on glasses I had purchased there a number of years ago, and was given excellent assistance by Jessica in their office. She let me know that although the frames were out of stock I might find them online - and she gave me all the info I needed to do so. Thanks to her I was able to find the frames on eBay, and she graciously replaced the lenses at no charge!
