I had heard good things about this practice, so I was looking forward to my appointment…read more That's when my daughter (who went to the visit with me) and I met Thomas F Schrattenholzer, MD at Legacy Pain Management Center. This doctor did not look at my knee (CRPS) or my back (spinal stenosis, etc.). He did not do any type of exam. Usually, you are asked to walk, bend, flex, etc. This physician did nothing. He stayed across the exam room from me the whole time. During the visit, I was told that because of my insurance (which his office and several other of my medical team accept), none of the treatments they offer for my condition could be done. I went into a pain management office and left demoralized. The condition I have is nicknamed "the suicide disease" because of the amount of physical pain it causes. Thomas F Schrattenholzer, MD at Legacy Pain Management Center, is not a person to go to for pain.

Another cookie-cutter carbon copy of a pain clinic with arrogant and lazy staff in which I would hand them their last checks the day after I bought the clinic. I'd also seek a medical malpractice attorney and shove that physician with a lawsuit for irresponsible treatments.

Compass Pain and Wellness provides a variety of care: pain management, medical massage,…read morechiropractic care, physical therapy, and now acupuncture. The quality of care is the best I've had in Portland. All of the staff are professional and welcoming. Dr. Balog is adept at pain management methods without the risk of addiction. Jamin is great with medical massage, very professional and attentive. Brian is the physical therapist and he really knows how to help you get your body back to where you want it to be. He's also very encouraging. Dr. Gentry is attentive and does well with chiropractic care. Kimberly is a great office manager and gets things done while Misael, the medical assistant is gentle and has a nurturing spirit. All of the providers are Doctor level providers. I started going to Compass after a motor vehicle accident when Kaiser wouldn't diagnose my injuries correctly, which means they couldn't treat my injuries adequately. I despise driving downtown but do it because of the high quality care Compass provides. They bill my car insurance company for care using my PIP coverage. Try them out, you won't regret it! I'm almost where I need to be thanks to Compass. My recovery couldn't be better.

Dr. Balog and I started talking about these stem cell therapies being talked about on social media. Two months ago, we decided to pull that rip cord. O!M!G! While the procedure was expensive (no insurance coverage yet) and not a particularly fun way to spend an afternoon, the results can NOT be argued with. I'll never have 20 year old knees again, but this miracle procedure has reversed time. Not only did I stand up and walk to the car immediately after, but I'd say close to ten years of degeneration has been erased. The other day I was halfway up a flight of stairs before I realized. I can't wait to see how many more years my knees lose and what I can do with them.

My friend says she is forever grateful and loved the projection screen room with an entire wall with nature image and nature sound, so peaceful. The owner, Frank, has such a positive loving, energy emanating from his soul that you immediately feel welcome and seen. I can't say enough good things about what a difference it made for my friend, she had light and joy in her eyes that I hadn't seen in months when she came out!?! After a thorough review of the literature and available resources we chose Immersive Therapy and began our journey. We had a consultation with the chief physician and discussed the process. After a thorough evaluation we were approved for therapy and assigned individual facilitators. I was so fortunate to work with Luna, an empathetic counselor and terrific guide for my journey. We worked closely together to design a dosage and focus for my session and she was there to guide and support me throughout. I found the experience to be tremendously rewarding and I can't thank Luna and the staff enough for their professional and caring service. They have my highest recommendation!
