They have improper billing practices. - sent NO INVOICE before charging two $115 transaction on our credit card. - only notified us one day before, still with NO INVOICE. Just an email saying they'll do it. - refused to work with my insurance even though i'm fully cover and was covered under other appointments I had with them. Stating they called them to figure it out but with no valid proof but word of mouth. It was really strange they didn't let me know ahead of time. The service date was in March and it's AUG they just let me know and charged my card that my insurance wasn't working for only this date of service. I could have just called my insurance myself to get it figured out but i didn't get a chance to do that. STILL no invoice. My insurance clearly stated I only owned $20 on my EOB (Explanation of Benefits) and when they got reprocessed then my EBO said I own nothing. Yet even thought I already paid my copay and my EOB confirmed that copay... I got charge $230 ($115 twice) with, like I said, NO INVOICE. Want to emphasize that. They stated they resubmitted my claims but only sent me screenshots without my name attached so i'm not sure if those were for my claims. They also sent me documentation of for claim forms but the date was literally the date I ask for the forms... which was also strange. Asked for a copy of the forms with the correct dates but was not given them. My insurance company called them and asked for the proof of their resubmission to make sure they were on time to confirm its my insurance was at fault but they have not wanted to try and help by just sending them. It's a pretty simple task. Even I reach out to try and have them just share the proof to the insurance but for some reason they won't and they won't reassured me or confirmed that they have or are willing to do so. Just because insurance(s) have protocols even if it's their fault doesn't mean you should just throw it onto the patient without letting them know. Let's say they are right and that the insurance didnt process correctly. Then their contract with my insurance would still cover it still if they just sent proof and they can just reprocess it as normal. It shouldn't be out of my pocket. I'm still working with them together get this figured out. If not, i'll probably be filing a complaint with the Oregon Medical Board. I think this practice is fine in terms of actually medicine but they need serious help and understand of what is right for billing, balance billing, insurance, patient reach out etc.

During just one session, I made some connections within my own body that proved to be quite insightful. Joanna assessed my movement and worked with me on the table, then helped me realize everyday actions have a strong consequence in the way my body grows into itself. She gave me a quick posture tutorial to advise on how to better deal with the daily routine of sitting at a computer hunched over a keyboard for hours on end. That's exactly what one wants in a professional office and my confidence in your services is much improved. Wow. Just, wow. I've been going to A WOMAN'S TIME for over a decade. I've been loyal to Dr. Dunlap (whom I adore); however, since Dr.Dunlap left the practice, the service has been abominable. Terrible. Rude. I just called because I received a bill. This was odd because I have called no less than 12 times since receiving this procedure and no one has ever mentioned a bill. That makes sense because before I left their office from this very same procedure, I paid in full as out of pocket. Granted, today is Labor Day, so my intention was to not work, but I wanted to follow-up on the miscommunication. I followed the prompts on the message and called the number provided for the office manager, Kim. I've known Kim for years. She knows me. During this call Kim literally yelled at me for calling her on a holiday. Ummmmmmm.... what? I explained that I was merely following the prompts and if they wanted to not receive calls on a holiday -- don't answer. She hung up on me. To Kim's credit she did call back crying about 15 minutes later, and apologized. Ok. I told her we could follow-up during the week. UPDATE: I am now in October and I returned Kim's voicemail. Immediately I was queried about emails and voicemails she'd sent to me. I explained that I missed one, got one, and that is why I was following-up now. When I asked why I'd received a bill after nearly a year has passed, I was told to speak to Dr.Hudson's sister the co-owner. After waiting about 5 minutes, I was greeted by a woman whom I'd never met and who immediately cut me off when I began to engage in questions about several issues that had gone severely wrong with their office. She was combative, acerbic, & rude. I can understand why Kim was crying. I would too if I had to work there. I explained that I could see this was going nowhere, I was hanging up, & I couldn't be more disappointed with their service. Something has gone drastically wrong over there. After choosing my insurance specifically so that I would be able to continue with Dr.Dunlap & that clinic, I will now never ever return nor suggest the clinic, even to frenemies. Instead I would encourage any woman in the NW to go up the street to Joya. They're SO MUCH MORE PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH! As a result, I am out approximately $100. I recommend carefully reviewing EOBs before paying and avoiding keeping a card on file. Due to how this billing issue was handled, I no longer feel comfortable returning and am suspect of their business practices.

Wanted to share my POV for others in similar situations. Experiences at places like this will vary…read moreon circumstances, so I want to be honest about mine. Context: I went in as a white passing able-bodied femme in distress looking for medication support. I had been off my psych meds for about 2 weeks and was experiencing dangerous behaviors. While I was not actively suicidal, I was experiencing passive sucididal thoughts. I was not experiencing any hallucinations. I was there for a few hours, and was able to get some medication support to tide me over until my next psychiatry appointment. I was clearly in distress when I arrived due to nerves, security and front desk staff were patient and neutral, and were able to ask me questions calmly when it was clear I wasn't able to effectively communicate and needed extra guidance. Folks who took me back were calm and answered my questions when my personals were taken. I went on a day with very minimal wait time and was able to be seen quickly. I observed lovely compassionate care of other patients while I waited, staff asking patients questions were very affirming and explained to the patient why they asked specific questions. My nurse asked me the standard questions you'd expect and was patient. When I froze on answering a question she clarified that there was zero judgment. While I was waiting and while I was being seen multiple times care providers praised patients on coming in and reassured the patient. The social care worker and psychiatrsit I was seen by were lovely and helped break the ice. None of my items were missing or broken when I left.

Unless you are planning on staying for a long time, do not make the mistake of bringing all your crap with you. They lock it all up, but are amazingly stocked in everything you will need. The only reason it's not five stars is because they don't give you slides (or let you use your own, which for a germaphobe is terrifying....Grippy socks or no.) and the bed was very uncomfortable. It makes sense though, if the bed was more comfortable, you might not want to leave! The doctor was so unbelievably kind and understanding and because I was lucky enough to get there early, he put me in one of the isolated rooms. I was suffering with horrible insomnia (in addition to my assorted other issues) and so it really helped me feel safe and I was able to finally sleep. Earl was my nurse (I was so tired, sorry if your name is incorrect, or I used the wrong name) and he was SO AMAZING. He was exactly the kind "dad" figure I needed in that moment. He helped me make the bed because I had never been here, so he knew how to make it a lot more comfortable, got me a big ice water, and made sure that I knew that he was there if I needed anything. He was right there until I left in a few hours. It's really weird, the doctor (sorry I can't remember your name! Again, SO tired) told me that they were absolutely willing to accommodate me if I felt like I needed more time, but it all depended how I felt. It could be a couple hours or it could be a night. When I woke up, even though it wasn't the most restful sleep (no door and I got there in the morning when everyone was waking up) but just having all of the staff care about me, listen to how I felt, and help me feel safe from the world and myself...I woke up feeling completely renewed. I am still doing so much better. Sometimes it's nice to have people outside of your normal circle of friends and family, to show you that the world isn't completely cruel and on fire. I will forever be grateful for your kindness and care.
