This place was AMAZING!!! My friend and I happened to go at the tail end of dim sum/ lunch hour, so…read morewe didn't have many dim sum options to choose from. However, the staff was kind enough to still offer what they could. We also got the dry beef chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, and beef and mushrooms. And let me say that I've been missing comfort Chinese food, and this place over achieved. The staff were very kind and helpful and the place was very clean. This is definitely must try and tops any other Chinese restaurants I've been to in Irvine!

To the Restaurant Manager,…read more You were aware as early as 2 PM that your restaurant was short-staffed (from the review I read earlier). Yet when my family arrived for dinner at 6:30 PM, you failed to inform us that the kitchen was severely backed up and that there would be significant delays in receiving our food. As we waited, we watched more and more customers become frustrated and complain about not receiving their meals. What was particularly disappointing was watching you repeatedly give customers misleading explanations while continuing to seat new guests without warning them about the delays. We eventually received most of our food (after threatening to walk out as others did). I will give credit where it's due, the food was good. Unfortunately, the way you handled the situation was extremely unprofessional and likely damaged your restaurant's reputation far more than the staffing shortage itself. Being short-staffed is understandable. What is unacceptable is the lack of honesty and transparency with your customers. A simple explanation upon arrival that the restaurant was understaffed and food might take significantly longer than usual would have allowed everyone to make an informed decision. Despite enjoying the food, I would not return. The frustration wasn't simply about waiting, it was about watching management repeatedly mislead customers rather than being upfront about the situation. I hope you take this feedback seriously. Good food may bring customers through the door, but honesty, professionalism, and good management are what bring them back.

Well, this sucks...and only partially because this place ended up closing just when I finally…read morefinished writing my review. While I never thought Capital Noodle Bar was the best noodle joint that you could find in/around Irvine, this place was always so tasty and convenient! Even though they weren't our favorite place, the times we stopped by Capital Noodle Bar was usually on our way to/from the airport for a quick bite. Not only was the restaurant large (snagging a table was never an issue), but our food (typically) came out relatively quick. In addition, their menu was stocked with so many delicious options. It felt a little more Malaysian than Chinese to me, but, regardless, their collection of appetizers, dim sum items, congee, noodle soups, stir fried noodles, entrees, fried rice, and rice plates was so enticing, we couldn't help but come back to try more and more! -- HOT SAUCE TRAY I know it's kind of weird to mention this, but I love their dish of hot sauces. In particular, their jalapenos and chili oil go well with everything we've had here. -- CRISPY TOFU This may not have looked quite like what I had expected, but this was pretty good! The tofu was pillowy soft and piping hot while the outside of it was surprisingly crispy, given how it's not really battered. -- WONTON NOODLE SOUP - Pork & Shrimp Wonton, Egg Noodles We got this as part of their weekday special ($12 all-day, dine-in only), so I'm not sure if the portion size is any different. Either way, this was great. The wonton skins were a little thin, but each piece was plump and juicy, the noodles had a nice bite, and the broth was solid. -- CHAR KWAY TEOW - Shrimp, Chinese Sausage, Bean Sprouts, Egg, and Large Rice Noodles I've been on a bit of a kick ordering this whenever I see it and this was one of the better ones. The noodles were cooked really well (very bouncy), the dish had a slight kick yet it wasn't overly salty/seasoned, and the dish wasn't overloaded with beansprouts. -- SPICY GARLIC CALAMARI Ehh...this wasn't "bad", but it was definitely underwhelming. Although these were seasoned well and had a nice crispiness, the calamari itself was chewy and reminded me of the generic type you get at most other Chinese restaurants. -- TRIO OF BEEF NOODLE SOUP - Sliced Tenderloin, Beef Ball, Beef Stew (Beef Shank, Tripe, Tendon, Carrot), and Egg Noodles I was super hopeful for this one, but it turned out to be just okay. For me, the ingredients tasted fine, but the portion seemed a little light on the beef shank and the broth needed a bit more body to it (felt a little thin). -- CRISPY HAINAN CHICKEN - Deep Fried Dark Meat, Pickled Vegetables, Ginger Rice, Soy Sauce, Ginger, and Chili Sauce Not very traditional, but no less delicious. Boneless Hainan Chicken is appealing enough, but fried, too? While I wish there had been more of it, each piece was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The ginger rice was quite tasty as well! -- WAGYU BEEF POSTICKERS Pretty standard, though, not necessarily in a bad way. Although there wasn't much of a browned bottom/crust on these, I love how big and plump these were and how the filling had a nice, beefy flavor to it. -- HONG KONG STYLE CHOW FUN WITH CHICKEN, Seasonal Greens, Carrot, Mushroom, Egg, Gravy Sauce, and Large Rice Noodles This was just okay for me. The dish had a good ratio of vegetables and meats to noodles, but the gravy didn't do much for me - there was so much of it, it felt more distracting than additive. -- MANGO GREEN TEA Surprisingly, this wasn't nearly as sweet as I feared it would be. The mango flavor in this wasn't super intense and went well with the green tea. Along with how satisfying most of Capital's dishes have been, the other thing that I liked about this place was the staff. Every time we came here, the workers were always friendly and really attentive, even despite how they usually only had one server working. That being said, it has never been all that busy either, which might help explain why their closure. As genuinely bummed as I am to learn that this place has closed, it should be said that it's not like Capital Noodle Bar is gone forever. If you missed your chance to try them, or just want to eat here again, they have another location in Costa Mesa that's still open and just a short drive away. And, as it turns out, it's even closer to the airport, so our pseudo-ritual of stopping off can continue to live on. Thanks for the memories, Irvine Capital Noodle Bar!

They have a beautifully simple menu that covers a great variety of dishes, ranging from dim sum to various noodle and rice options. The Beef Chow Fun was excellent. It had that classic, smoky wok hei flavor I was looking for. Highly recommend if you love chow fun. My friend ordered, The Capital Street Noodle, a dry noodle dish. It packed a ton of good flavor and came with a very generous amount of toppings. The Salt and Pepper Fried Fish was lovely. The batter was wonderfully light, and I really enjoyed the distinct peppery punch it had. Overall, everything we tried was hit. It's a solid, clean spot with great execution on classic flavors. I would totally come back here again whenever I'm looking for a quick bite!

I could not taste the taro. The sauce that came along with it was good, probably hoisin based, but would be good on any dumpling. We came on a Sunday around 10:30am and only had to wait 10 min. They're located on the second floor in the Diamond Plaza and it's a huge restaurant. Despite how big it is, there were still a lot of people waiting outside when we finished eating. The carts come around often and we got most of the things we wanted. All of the cart dishes were $6. The Shrimp Ha Gow and Pork Siu Mai were above average and the pieces were big. The Xian Sui Gok didn't have much filling. I really liked their Rice Noodle Rolls. They tasted fresh and had a soft, bouncy texture. The shrimp ones were better than the BBQ pork. The Baked BBQ Pork Buns were light and fluffy with decent filling but a little saucy. This is a solid place for dim sum. The quality is good and the portions are generous. We enjoyed ourselves and never felt rushed even though they were busy. I would venture outside of OC to come here again for dim sum.

When we arrived, our table was beautifully decorated with little red hearts and an anniversary card waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch and immediately made us feel special. Our server, Kevin, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like he wanted us to enjoy our anniversary. To help us celebrate, we were treated to two glasses of champagne and two pieces of cake, which was such a wonderful surprise. We ordered two of the $32 Plates. The chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful, with a sauce that complemented it perfectly without being too heavy. The steak, cooked medium, was absolutely delicious--so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The restaurant itself was very clean and elegant, with soft music playing in the background. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to enjoy an anniversary meal without feeling rushed. We are so happy we chose The Capital Grille for our 23rd anniversary. Great food, a beautiful atmosphere, and especially Kevin's outstanding service made this a truly memorable experience for us. Thank you for making our 23rd anniversary feel so special. We will definitely be back!

MY FELLOW YELPERS!! BEWARE of this FALSE advertising, unprofessional, con of a company!!!!…read more The most unprofessional BS- snake oil company I've ever dealt with!! Other reviews say the same! Nothing but stress and damage comes out of these guys. If you want to find your furniture broken and a liar as the owner (Joey), who is not insured, and makes false advertisement claims of his employees being trained for 6 months, and not get damaged furniture repaired, then this is the perfect company for you! They were over an hour late and I requested two strong guys. They sent me one guy that was ok and an obese chick that had no strength or experience! Their excuse for being late: Only one Budget rental truck available when they got there and the lift on it was squeaking. No call to update me AT ALL! I had a deadline to meet. I hopped on the phone with Joey prior to the move date and told him that his movers needed to be experience with disassembling my table because I won't be paying for them to learn and it's a difficult one, unless they had prior experience with this type of table and requested two very strong guys to carry the dresser down the staircase. Sent a list of items and pics prior to the move out date. They get there and the girl doesn't even have tape nor tape gun and she doesn't even know how to package boxes. They arrived with only three small sun damaged boxes that looked like they picked it up in the back of a supermarket on the floor, ZERO shrink wrap, ZERO wardrobe boxes like they advertised, ONE protective blanket, and VERY late. Joey arrived on location two hours after the scheduled time to bring a few wardrobe boxes but still no shrink wrap or additional blankets. Should've known he was a liar since he tried to make excuses that it's not their responsibility to bring it when it clearly states on their ad, quotes, and invoices. Because everything was already packed and they simply needed to load, it should have only taken roughly 1 hour to load at MAX. Instead they took over 3 hours to load because the truck wasn't the right size and the girl was inexperienced and useless. Joey Pineda might put up an overly nice guy act but you'll find out soon enough he's uneducated, unprofessional, and a con. They broke my mirror leg, scraped my $5000 bed set, broke my plants, broke my blinds, assembled my bed incorrectly and had to redo the entire assembly, and they dragged my $5,000 Stern's & Foster mattress on the EFFIN street!!! NONE OF my furniture was wrapped and protected except for two pieces. Found my broken plant bulbs the next day inside another pot where they tried to hide it and in the garage on other boxes. At first he said he would take care of everything but now he's trying to get crafty and figure out ways to weasel of out of this. I have dozens of text messages and emails with his response changing and now he doesn't want to pay for damages and tried to say I'm committing "Hard Fraud" when I have evidence to validate my claims! It was apparent to me that he was trying to buy time and he will continue to make up excuses. Now in a desperate effort he says that what I have done is called "Hard Fraud" and for me not to worry because he's not going to contact an attorney. LMFAO! First of all this is the most slanderous way to try to get out of having to cover damages. 2. He still hasn't sent me his insurance company name. If he was actually insured this would not be a problem and the insurance would handle this, not him right? 3. Now I see other reviews claiming the exact same issues that I have but the difference is that the damages done to my furniture is much more than theirs so he repaired theirs or refunded a small amount but not mine bc he's NOT INSURED PEOPLE!!! Do not be fooled by this company nor by Joey Pineda. I will provide all of the documents after I sue these conartists. Upon threat of a small claims, he ended up BLOWING up my phone on a Saturday but failed to text or call me every scheduled time prior that. I'm going to report him to the attorney general, the BBB, have his business investigated, and I'm going to sue him. Taxes - Let's see if he's compliant with labor code and correct tax filings. I will happily forward the step-by-step instructions for anyone who wants to get retribution for being screwed over. You can be entitled to more than the furniture damage. THUMBS UP on this review so we stop these scammers from taking advantage of anyone else!!

UPDATE: My Table has Been Repaired by Capital Movers…read more I would like to start by pointing out that the five star rating reflects the work that Daniel has done to bring my table back to its glory. I still stand by my original post and NOT RECOMMEND the moving company to handle your valuables. As mentioned in the previous post, this could have been avoided if more care was taken during the moving process. Here comes the POSITIVE note: Daniel from Capital Movers was extremely helpful in communicating with me on a daily basis on the status of the repair process. Props to you Daniel for this and for getting my table fixed without further delay.
