My kids were here for about 3 years. We went through Team 1, 2, 3, and TK! We've done it all, and I…read morecan't recommend it strongly enough. I felt like it was a privilege my kids got to be at such a great school with teachers who genuinely give their all and love the kids. They are all wonderful, with some of them being so magical they feel like something out of a storybook. My older child had been in an accredited Montessori school prior to Discovery, and he ended up being very behind academically. Not only did his teachers from Team 3 (pre-k) and TK flag the issue early on, they also put in extra time to try and help get him caught up. This was their personal time they gave him when they could have gone home or probably enjoyed a slightly longer break. My kids learn SO much here and they have fun doing it. It's play based, but the kids learn and love to learn. The enrichments that they offer and are included in the program, mostly funded through the DSPA, are second to none. And the community at the school is fantastic. The more you take part in school functions and volunteer, the more you'll feel the community. Leaving the school is so hard, not just for us, but for lots of families, because it's just the best. Most families go on to "top tier" private schools, and some do public schools, but I would say the public school families are a much smaller portion of the school. We never felt like anybody judged our choices one way or another. Eyde runs the school, and keeps it running like a well-oiled machine. She always listens to parents when they come to her and treats everybody with warmth and kindness. She also is there to help guide you if you want to go the private school route, so you end up at the school that is right for you. She's incredibly knowledgeable in this department. And last but not least, the campus. It's huge! A friend of mine referred to it as feeling like something out of Willy Wonka. They have slides, monkey bars, play structures, swings, a meditation yurt (it sounded ridiculous to me when I first saw it, but my son did come home and meditate so judge for yourself), a petting zoo (If I remember correctly there are miniature ponies, a pig, birds, and tourtises) etc... There is so much room for them to run and play, and they never get bored of it. There was never a day that went by where I worried about my children's safety, whether or not they were learning, or if they were having fun. My kids were full-time students and stayed for extended care. They spent almost as much time with my kids as I do, and I'm glad my kids got to spend that time with them. We drove almost 30 minutes each way to take our kids to go to Discovery, and I would do it all over again. If you're lucky enough to snag a spot at the school, take it. It's worth every penny!

The campus is so beautiful and my son loves the farm and there's so many different playgrounds. They're a very creative school! I would look to his toddler teachers, Miss Katy and Miss Vanesa, to help translate what he was saying, most of his waking day was spent with them and they knew him so well. His 2-year old teachers helped through the potty training. I was pushing it and they knew he wasn't ready and told me to slow down. When he was ready it was easy and they made the whole process not stressful. His 3-year old teacher, Miss Tracy, nurtured his love of animals and reading. She also had the best sensory play, which he loved. He is now in PreK with Miss Sabrina and in just a few weeks I have seen so much growth! He is recognising his letters, telling me how he exercises with his teacher, they water the garden, he is proud of all the projects he is completing and tells me about them over dinner. One skill we have been working on was hand washing. Last night he finally did a good scrub before he rinsed and I was surprised. He told me his teacher taught him. The director Debbie is also great. She gets to know the kids and knows what my son likes, doesn't like, and who his buddies are. Child's World feels like a second home. All of his teachers have been amazing and great about communicating with us about his development but it is all the daily nurturing experiences that make me, as a parent feel good about bringing my son to school each day. These years have gone by so fast but we have always felt that he is safe and cared for. We are looking forward to all the great things he will learn this year and TK with Miss Leslie next year.

The teachers are dedicated professionals who go above and beyond to ensure that each child is given the attention and guidance they need to excel academically. The curriculum is robust, challenging, and engaging, fostering a love of learning in students. The school also places a strong emphasis on holistic development, encouraging students to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. This has greatly helped my child in developing leadership skills and discovering new interests. The school's commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment is commendable. The administration is responsive and takes parents' concerns seriously, which is reassuring. Overall, I believe this school has played a pivotal role in shaping my child's knowledge, skills, and character. I highly recommend it to any parent seeking a well-rounded education for their child. I'd just recommend a little more trainings on child development issues for the teachers and staff that could help them further with understanding children's behavior and emotional functioning but otherwise the teachers are professional and adequate with their teaching skills.

I visited MANY daycare centers and home daycares before choosing Little Learners, and the moment I met Mrs. Shazna, I knew I had found the right place for my children. Leaving my children in someone else's care for the first time was scary, but Mrs. Shazna and the incredible teachers quickly put my worries at ease. Every teacher is loving, patient, experienced, and genuinely caring. My children are always excited to go in every morning--and sometimes they're so excited that they run inside and forget to say goodbye to me! As a mom, that means everything. The school provides truly exceptional care. Children are separated into classrooms based on age, with 2-3 teachers in each room. The facility is clean and safe, there is a wonderful outdoor play area, and they even have a kitchen and chef who prepares meals for the children daily. They also offer so many enriching activities, including music, dance, soccer, martial arts, water play, summer programs, and more. Mrs. Shazna also goes above and beyond to create special experiences for the children and families, from beautiful parades and concerts to unforgettable events and memories. It's clear that the entire staff is committed not only to caring for the children, but also to giving them a strong foundation for learning and development. My oldest has one more year left at Little Learners, and honestly, it breaks my heart knowing that his time there will eventually come to an end. Thankfully, my youngest still has several more years there. A huge thank you to Mrs. Shazna, Mrs. Maria, Mrs. Jessica, Ms. Hironi, Ms. Lisa, Ms. Khan, Ms. Nish, Ms. Chathu, Ms. Carolina, and every other teacher and staff member. We appreciate everything you do and are so grateful that our children get to grow, learn, and make memories in such a loving environment. We love you all, truly. If you're looking for a daycare where your children will be genuinely loved, cared for, and treated like family, I highly recommend Little Learners Academy. You won't regret it!

After touring 16 daycares, I…read moreknew moments after walking into MOTB that it was the one, and I am pleased to say my instincts were right! Our first son was four months old when he started and Ms. Farideh helped me and my baby through the transition with care and compassion. When my second was born, it was incredibly comforting to know I already had a nurturing and safe environment for him once I returned to work. The teachers in the baby room (esp Ms. Carol!) adored my babies and will forever be second moms to my kiddos. In room 2, Ms. Esme and Ms. Farideh not only loved my kids but also partnered with us through big milestones like potty training, dropping the pacifier, and weaning. Both of my kids flourished in their educational environment from early math concepts to phonics to foreign language to art, it never ceases to amaze me how much my kids learn each day! This was also the class where my kids started to develop friendships and social skills. The other families at MOTB have been amazing and although we've moved out of the area we intend to keep these fantastic people in our lives! Room 3 with Ms. Thianga is where my eldest truly thrived. She supported his interests and built his confidence in the classroom. He was starting to read and doing arithmetic by his 4th birthday. She is so good at noticing a child's aptitude and cultivating it without creating any pressure. I can only hope my kids continue to have such great educators in their new schools. Any time I had questions or concerns, I was met with grace and support. The daily structure is well-balanced and they are true to the Montessori methods while still providing the warmth of smaller daycares. Some may find the limited use of the parent portal app to be lacking, but personally I felt it was spot on. I prefer my children's caregivers be primarily focused on the kids, not on curating photos and messages and tracking activities for parent updates. I always got the updates I needed at pickup/dropoff and was kept apprised of notable events. So for us, it was a perfect fit! My children have been safe, loved, and accepted for who they are at this school and as a parent I have felt a true partnership with the staff. I will be forever grateful for the foundation MOTB gave my children, it is truly priceless.

They have loved my children and helped them learn to do things for themselves, to be a good friend and classmate, and solid building blocks of their education. They've had excellent teachers and have been lucky to be in Mrs. Itzhels class for two years. It feels like family here and I'm really going to miss it as my boys go to kindergarten. I cannot recommend MOTB enough.

If you're looking for "play based learning," the teachers and owner are the golden standard for this approach (and if you're not familiar you must get familiar and find a play based environment for your kiddo-I have lots of thoughts on this). Go to an open house and see for yourself. You will be forever changed from the first step in the door. I heard so many good things about this school from friends with older kids before we toured and it did not fail to impress and inspire me.

Caterpillar Cottage is a true gem. Both our daughters attended pre-school here (our youngest is…read morestill attending), and though the girls have such different personalities, they both thrived. The school's approach is empathetic so that even the littlest children feel seen, heard, and understood. The teachers model and foster social-emotional skills skillfully, so that the kiddos become considerate but effective self-advocates and negotiators, establishing the building blocks for identifying their own emotions and needs and working through conflict. The teachers are gentle and caring. You feel totally confident leaving your child under their guidance, knowing they will be treated with respect and kindness. The teachers and director also become your genuine partners along the journey of raising your child. Through coffee hour chats, expert talks, knowledgeable resource recommendations, and one-on-one conversations they can help troubleshoot any parenting challenges you are working through. For myself and some alumni parent friends of mine, the school has been such a trusted guiding light that "Caterpillar" has become a verb. If you're not sure how to deal with a child situation, you ask yourself, "How can I Caterpillar this?" What would (lead teacher) Andrea say or do? All this is on top of the other good stuff of pre-school they provide: arts exploration, outdoor play, stories and gardening and science experiments and a lovely community of parents and friends. Highest recommendation!
