Everyone was so carrying and would go the extra mile for your children. That feeling that made you feel you were at home and that your children were getting the best care, is gone. It's all business now. All about that $$$. We even had an annual fundraiser, where the parents attended a dinner and made a donation to the school but now the school is canceling the dinner but is still requiring you to make your donation! Their billing is all screwed up. The school acknowledged that they were overcharging us but wanted us to pay anyway or else our daughter was not allowed to return to school. One of the sisters supposedly had her receipt book locked up, so they did not have access to it and she was on medical leave. So the school pretty much said, "we are going to overcharge you and if we find any payments in her receipt book you will be issued a credit". Very unprofessional and inconvenient for us. It would have been smart to get this from the sister before she went on leave. Along with a list of other things that were cut and/or changed. Our daughter will not return this school year.

My son began in the infant class with teacher Liz, Yancy, and Denise. You ladies are the best! They do really well with sending updates, pictures/videos through the day that allowed us to see what our boy was up to. The arts and crafts are too cute and we loved the little notes about how he was progressing every week. This made such a difference, knowing that every day our son was happy and being exposed to new fun activities. Kristine and Maria (director and assistant director) are amazing! They are very supportive and communicative. They both spent time in the infant classroom which also made us feel confident in the care our boy was receiving. Thank you both for the constant reassurance as we navigated our new normal. The only reason we left was because we were able to go from doing 2 drop offs to 1. We hope you all are doing well! You are missed!

I see my baby has really blossomed and has been really well socialized thanks to the teachers. The facility has a big outdoor area (for downtown LA anyway) and plenty of parking. The inside is warm and inviting with lots of natural light. The photos online are a bit outdated. The center director is amazing. She runs a tight ship along with her lovely assistant director and the teachers. I feel very lucky to have gotten in and plan on staying through.

Two years prior to my son being ready for preschool we began a search for the most appropriate…read moreprogram for him. During that time, we observed every type of approach imaginable. Reggio, Montessori, church-based, home-based, academic, private and public. Seriously, no rock went unturned. Walking into John Tracy was immediately impactful. The campus is secure with a gate and cameras at the opening. I can't tell you how many schools I was able to walk into off the street. The grounds are also immaculate. It is absolutely the cleanest preschool we saw. That includes the private ones priced at $25k and above. There's a real sense of pride shared by every individual in every position at JTC. I spent extensive time over the course of a few weeks speaking with and emailing the director Angie, and observing the classroom. Courtney is a wonderful teacher. She's caring and has clear, consistent boundaries for the students. The school also has a world class counselor in Mary Beth who is always available to offer strategies and support. The entire team at JTC also facilitates weekly parent classes. As an added bonus, Mt. Saint Mary's partners with the school through a grad students program throughout the year. This was important to us as it allowed for constant 1:1, often more than that, interaction for our son. Additionally, the class is always being observed either in the room, or through an attached observation area. The teachers and administrators are always on their A-game and available to parents. When it came down to choosing a program we selected JTC because of all the above and the one intangible we didn't find elsewhere. I unequivocally trust them with my child, period. Their approach to each child as an individual is anchored by relationships with the parents. They make a real attempt to include us as part of the JTC family. In all of this, I've yet to mention the fact that the school is primarily for children with cochlear implants and severe hearing loss. My son has neither of these. If he did, the program is considered as one of the best in the business. They combine best practices and developmental expectations as all of the children will be moving on to kindergarten. Some in traditional school settings, and some in mixed hearing loss/traditional programs. My son is still able to work on his own academic pace, and interact with children his own age as he would in a more traditional preschool program. These children may have hearing impairments, but are just like any other 4-year-old you encounter. We took a chance to do something a little outside the box, and I have zero regrets. Our experience at JTC will stay with our family and my son in particular for a lifetime. We are indelibly grateful to this program. I truly couldn't say enough good things about this school, staff and parents we've encountered.

Before finding our perfect school we tried a couple of other schools in the area and found out that they had a three hour nap, which was not an option for our active 3 year old boy. They have a psychologist and development specialists on site, which is very helpful. I love that they have lengthy outside play time in the shaded yard. Oh, and I forgot to mention the huge Morton bay fig tree in the front yard, which is the soul of the whole preschool. It was so great to bring my son there every day after the hustle of downtown Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

Alexis who watches the babies day to day is amazing. She is very kind, gentle, compassionate, and patient with the babies. My daughter had a bit of difficult time transitioning to day care after being at home with me during maternity leave, and Alexis was so patient with her and always smiled & showed kindness even when my baby cried for a long time. Because Alexis is so gentle and kind, even the older kids (around 2 year old) are so gentle and kind to my daughter even if she can't really play with them yet since she is younger. This is a small family day with just a few babies and we really like that for our daughter. The day care is in nice home and has a nice yard and porch that the kids can sit and play on. This is a nice perk since we live in a condo without any outside space. (Especially in the summer time!) Everyday when we drop her off, she is all smiles and excited to see her friends and Alexis. As first time parents, knowing that our daughter is in good hands with a great care giver and kind friends is such a great relief. :)

We have always felt that our boy was safe and cared for when he was at this daycare. He has grown so much because of Alexis and the wonderful work JoJo has done to make sure all of the little ones are cared for with high standards!

The teachers genuinely love being around the children and provide them with the best care. This starts with providing a safe clean environment from 8am to 6pm with diverse nutritional meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have many activities throughout the day both inside the school and in the outside play area. Most importantly, the teachers really treat your kids like their own and really bring a familial atmosphere to the preschool. The school is licensed and certified every year and provide plenty of pictures to show how your kids are doing. My wife and I highly recommend JNJ if you are looking for affordable and quality care for your baby or toddler. From the moment you walk through the doors, the difference is palpable: this isn't a business that happens to care for children; it's a community of educators whose passion for childhood development shines through in everything they do. Each teacher demonstrates remarkable patience, attention to detail, and an authentic love for children. They understand their unique personalities, and tailor their approach accordingly. My daughter's face lights up when she talks about her teachers, and she often asks if she can go to school on weekends--a testament to the warm environment they've created. When my daughter started at just 18 months old, right before our second baby arrived, I was understandably anxious. Would she feel abandoned? Could she adapt at such a young age? Those concerns quickly melted away as I witnessed her flourish under their care. The teachers facilitated a gentle transition period and kept me updated with daily photos and videos that helped ease my new-mom worries. The teachers at JNJ don't just supervise--they actively foster growth and independence. With their expert guidance, my daughter was potty trained smoothly and efficiently. They've nurtured her communication skills, social development, and early academic foundations through thoughtful activities and consistent positive reinforcement. Cleanliness is clearly a priority at JNJ. The facility is always spotless yet maintains a cozy, home-like atmosphere that helps children feel secure. I particularly appreciate their use of air purifiers throughout the day--a detail that speaks volumes about their commitment to children's health and well-being. One standout feature is their fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily on-site by a dedicated teacher. As a busy parent juggling a newborn, the relief of not having to pack multiple meals and snacks while maintaining excellent nutrition standards has been invaluable. My daughter enjoys diverse, balanced meals that have expanded her palate and established healthy eating habits. In a world where quality childcare is increasingly hard to find, JNJ Preschool stands as an exemplar of what early childhood education should be. They've created an environment where children aren't just safe--they're thriving, learning, growing, and genuinely happy. For parents seeking that perfect first school experience--where your child is cherished as an individual, supported in their development, and genuinely excited to attend each day--your search can end here because JNJ Preschool isn't just a good option, it's a gift to your child's formative years!
