I was small and didnt know better. Also a lot of the staff was abusive and would mistreat children. Mr.C was the worst, mid life crisis dude with shades on all the time, and Mario the janitor was a creep who would make us pick up trash without being able to wash our hands. Still. Maybe this is me just venting but I wouldn't recommend you bring your children anywhere near this school, not to mention the area its in. I reviewed this place on google, copy pasted my review on here just cause maybe more people would see it. Don't take your kids to this school.

The elementary school (and pre-K) has a great creative vibe with caring teachers and staff. There's also a level of mentorship since the little kids get to see the older kids showcasing art, film, performances, and playing sports. There's outdoor education in Elysian Park where middle school students have elementary buddies which enables learning on both sides. The High School is great - interesting courses, sports, art, film and performance, and college admission rates are stellar. The small student body allows for personalized college admission counseling and planning.

The teachers and staff are all so kind, genuine, loving and generous. The school offers an incredibly nurturing environment. The academics are also top-notch and the teachers tailor learning to students (for example, if your child is more advanced in a particular subject they will ensure he or she stays challenged with more rigorous assignments). My son has flourished since becoming part of the ICS family. If you are contemplating enrollment I would not hesitate.
