So unfortunately, we didn't eat there because I wanna be fair and give a proper review on the food…read moresince it is a restaurant. But we didn't make it to the food. We didn't make it past trying the beers. We knew the place had reopened under new ownership and wanted to give it a shot. We walked in and were seated promptly. Right away I noticed there were crumbs all over the floor. That's a major red flag, not a good first impression. Decided to try some beers. We placed an order with the waitress for three tasters. She informed us one of them was brand new, and all of their other beers were from the original owners. A minute later, another waitress came over and says that our server can't service alcohol because she's not of age and to give her the order. When I said one of them was one of the new beers she had no idea what I was talking about. Strange. What is most strange is that why is a server working at a brewery who can't serve alcohol? That's a new one for me. Let's just say the beers were awful. They were flat, tasteless and not entirely up the temp. We got up and walked out and went to the Trolley Barn across the street.

Getting the bartender's attention was no problem at all, which isn't always the case at a bar, especially on a busy Friday night, and the live music was definitely on point. I met up with a few guys here, and it was a really nice and lively evening, yet not so loud that we couldn't hear each other and were able to have some level of conversation (yes, with some leaning in, but I've been to bars where even that doesn't facilitate communication). Lots of beer selections on tap, with a core selection on one side of the menu and a more seasonal list on the other. I got the honey porter and the Japanese lager from the seasonal set, and I thought they were both pretty solid. One of the guys ordered food from one of the food vendors down the hall (cool that they have that, btw, so you can get good food w/o the bar needing to take care of that). There was a QR code that was supposed to facilitate that, but when he placed the order on his phone, it didn't allow it for some strange reason. He ended up walking over to order; it's not too far, but that QR code should be fixed since it was on the table we sat at. Overall a nice chill space that's not too loud and has good beers on tap. I would return!

I am not disqualifying their experience but it is very odd it was so different. It was a hot, humid, rainy Saturday and the A/C was just fine when we got in. I will admit my first view through the door was a little hesitant but push on in and it was fine. The design goes for a comfy industrial setting. They have a good selection of beer and cocktails using a lot of local producers so there is a wonderful chance for you to find what you want to drink. The prices on the menu looked a little steep but the servings were generous and the food was very good. I had the best wings I've had in a long time with a nice crispness to the skin. My wife and I had a good time and found it lots of fun. If I was going to suggest a change it would be some sort of uniform for the servers.
